Cathy, I meant to tell you how much you are appreciated yesterday but I got sidetracked fighting with fixing an oil line on a John Deere. Short excuse is the line runs into the bottom of an oil cooler, reservoir and half the front end of the tractor needs to be disassembled to get to it. Another engineering design flaw? I spent yesterday screaming at the stupid designers.
I'm calmer this morning after getting to bed at 1:00 up at 4:00 and looking at tractor pieces scattered over half of God's Creation.
Just for fun, a few things the past few days. Ruined a tire when I ran over a chisel point in the dirt. Stop leaving equip out to get buried and that wouldn't have happened. Ricky runs tire shop in the town of a population of five or six hundred called and said he had to put a new tire on the rim as the sidewall had been cut open. I stopped to pick up my tire and a young man gets out of his pickup at the same time. He was all cowboy from the dog in the truck with him, to his old cowboy hat, denim shirt, pants, and old boots. That's pretty well normal around here.
Someone hose me down! I ran across an article by a selfish ungrateful bitch promoting her myopic views on the world. She has a few letters surrounding her name to give credence to her pathetic self centered opinion. Poor little girl lost her daddy because he decided he was transgendered. As she grew into a woman it becomes clear she never really accepted nor forgave him for finding his own life and not sacrificing it for her any more than he already had.
I don't agree with a lot of this. I also don't agree with all the different names they gave to respective parts of the saddle. Maybe my part of the world was ignorant and didn't know what all it took to toss a saddle and bridle on a horse? Maybe our horses were too tame and didn't need the tactical learning skills necessary to toss a leg over a horse? We always mounted a strange horse from the left side except our own horses. Ours we climbed on which ever side we were on. The horses and me were just too dumb to realize we needed a college course in how to saddle and ride horses.
Not sure how well this will work out. Hopefully with as little SNAFUs as possible. Anyone with additional data would you please let me know. Thanks
always
Barb
The NC law was written by people who have NO IDEA what transgender is. It was as stupid as the laws other states have passed where every bathroom is anyone's bathroom. Take your pick. Funny how we managed to figure out women belong in the female bathroom and men belonged in the male bathroom before government got involved mucking up the basic concept.
Anyway, I think what Nayfack is doing is a hoot. Maybe those in charge will get the message but I doubt it. Bigots seldom think their thought train is the one on the wrong track.

Most of us, yep that includes moi, can't afford forty or fifty dollars a week on makeup. Even the basics like eye shadow, mascara, lipstick has become expensive. We find our favorites and age and the world changes what works so we try several others seeking that which we lost, our youth. Makeup is good but it ain't that good.
Ms Leone was one of those whose life touched thousands..., millions of others by her own example and through her stories. She posted "God Bless the Child" again a few days earlier. Each can take from Katie's desire to repost and the story whatever meaning they wish. For me, I believe with all my heart and soul, Katie was one of God's own blessings.
Those of us who operate heavy equipment, farm equipment, machinery of any kind, including trucks and flying understand the possibility of death from associating with massive moving steel. Normal people take for granted the vehicle they use will operate in an acceptable manner. Growing up on a farm, I knew from a very early age when I climbed on that tractor (age 5) and daddy sent me out to the field with a plow, disk, or cultivator, that piece of machinery was lethal to everything it ran over.
Growing up, all our blouses, shirts, dresses had "darts". For sleeveless blouses and for most dresses the dart came in from the sides an inch or two below the arm hole. For western shirt or blouse it sometimes came in from the side and sometimes from the hem. I don't remember a single SImplicity Pattern that didn't have darts unless it was a pattern for a "Shift".
There are so many who have added to the awareness of the differences in life and in lives. I can't begin to count the ones who added to the intellectual pool of knowledge. Of course that includes Erin and all those who keep BCTS up and running. I must include those hundreds, thousands of authors and readers who add to the data stream. I wish everyone to know each and everyone counts in the life stream and yes, each and everyone makes a difference.
Anyway, I didn't ask Patty if I could repost but if she is looking for someone to take over, maybe she won't mind.
Echoes by Sarah Lynn Morgan is as much a travel back in time as it is a fascinating life switch story. She had all the furnishings and nuances of history correct as far as I know. When Charlotte was at the dance, the young soldier asked if her "card" was filled for the dances. Young ladies of prominence had their evenings arranged with who they would social with and yes dance with beforehand. Thus the card and if it had some empty time for opportunity of a gentleman to ask the ladies hand for a dance.
Today and everyday is a vessel, a gift from God.
It is yours to fill however you wish.
Fill it carefully for whether it is with love, caring, happiness or despair
Tomorrow this day will be your own memories for eternity
I was on Youtube listening to Unchained Melody by Righteous Bros when this annoying ad kept running so being the person who NEVER clicks on links. I was drawn to the 60s styles and yes I clicked. Personally this is what class was then. There wasn't a quickstop on every corner and most everyone I knew worked. There were no IPads, computers, or any other of those talent wasting idle time things. TV was still fairly new and cable TV was too. Anything more than fifty miles from the TV stations was iffy at best of times.
Guys & gals, now is the time for shopping 'in the store' instead of online for those I love me gifts. Some of you guys might feel out of place picking up a ladies watch, earrings, panties etc. I promise this time of year the cashiers won't raise an eyebrow nor think twice about what intimate women's things a guy might be checking out with. Bras? Pretty personal so if you can keep from looking like the 'deer in the headlights' as you check out and it is what you want..., Go for it.
SPLAT!
I ran into another unfinished story. Thought I was being careful and checked the date on the last chapter without looking at the end. Posted three years ago so it has to be a completed storyline. Negatory there Blue Leader, the author never tied the tail on it. A beautiful unique story, all warm and fuzzy. Excellent writing is a saving grace. But unless it was a teaser to get us to by the book my disappointment takes top tier.
So many stories on BC of shopping for women's things after the body switch, I thought a few graphics might be in order. Suck it up guys, you know that perfect little black dress is for YOU and we want to look drop dead gorgeously sexy in it. It isn't easy finding the perfect one. And the heels must accent not deflect the image we desire. And the earrings...., Okay, you get the idea. After a certain age dropping on a tee shirt and jean shorts is no longer an option to looking sexy. So we cover and leave enough to the imagination to set their minds on fire.

There may be an inside track for authors who wish to be published.
It won't be easy to get there and your story telling has to appeal to those as an intended target

For those who already understand the ins and outs of publishing in paper format it will tough enough getting a foot in the door. Others who have only published via the web such as Amazon and like, a steep learning curve will be required.
I have no idea how many of these makeup transformations I have seen over the years. Some of them really do tug at the belief it could be possible. Always enjoy looking at the power of makeup when it is applied with the touch of those who understand how to use it. Kinda reminds me of the old Glamor Photo ads. "If we can't make you beautiful, no one can." I wish everyone could experience a makeover if only once in their life to see with their own eyes what they can be.
How is a story listed as a solo? It seems I have to ask for someone to change the listing when I post a story and there is no intent to add chapters. I'm guessing there is that "weight" thing I read about in another blog when a writer kept having her chapters list out of sequence.
Thanks
“If I could not find a place that would allow me to be a woman I would [commit] suicide without hesitation because I will never go back to that pretense, to that vigilance, to that exhaustion of trying to keep everybody happy pretending to be something I’m not,”
It takes all kinds to make our world and each of us are uniquely one of a kind. Among the billions of people on this messed up planet each individual is one off with no duplicate. Yeah, I know, some will debate that. Moving on to the lady who hates kids. Did she think deep enough to understand she would not be here if her mother or any of the women in her heritage linage thought the same thing?
Computer was on a tear last night. I was doing spelling correction not realizing the computer was reposting parts of the story every time I did a spelling correction.
