personal update

Some of you may recall me mentioning a leg issue over the last few weeks, well it got worse at the weekend so today I availed myself of the services of the NHS.

You don't need the gritty but the long and short is that I have a venal blood clot in my thigh. It's a wonder it hasn't done for me with my riding over the last few weeks but the expert's seem to think the prognosis is reasonable.

Why the bride is usually to the left of groom

I was going back through "Somewhere Else Entirely" and noticed Miss Penny Lane put the women to the left of the men in most instances. Obviously she either knows why or it was pure instinct.

"Garia was now always seated to Keren's left, just as every wife was always seated to the left of her husband."

The week that was

So - parcel fetched - it was a dig report from something I worked on for 6 years in the late '90's - only took the authors nearly 20 years to finish writing it up!

Fairly relaxing trip to Manchester Tuesday and finally today took delivery of the new passport, I can escape this madland now! hurrah!

And whilst waiting for the passport delivery I managed to write most of another Gaby chapter.

Time waits for no woman......

For those in the United States, don't forget to set your clocks ahead one hour tonight. At 2:00 AM most of us go on Daylight Savings Time - unless of course you live in one of the odd (not a slur, just different from the majority) areas that does not make the change.

So remember, at 2:00 AM it's really 3:00 AM - for those of us who can't sleep, we get to spend one less hour staring at the ceiling over the bed, listening to soft music, and praying that our demons remain at rest for one more night.

Sorry

that there wasn't an update/posting on Sunday - family day and no internet!

But here's the chapter that should have been posted - Planning for Mischief.

I was hoping to have the next chunk of book 19 ready for the weekend but a meeting Monday and a wayward muse yesterday have both impacted the time line so Part 2 could be out Sunday or it might be next Wednesday.

Well I think that's everything

enjoy

Yorkshire Pudding failure.

I thought that I'd try a typical British Sunday lunch. It was supposed to impress my English in laws. Simple right? Nope I can tell you it never went to plan. I got a great beef joint. That at least came out the oven right. My roast potatoes were passable I guess. The gravy was pretty good but not much can go wrong there. However, the Yorkshire pudding was more like a pancake. Chloe, our eldest just looked and said just do what you're good at in future Mom. Kate, my Mom in law brought over a trifle. Next time it'll be meatloaf. We'll dine American fare lol.

Transgender Models

This story was pointed out to me courtesy of phydeau.
Transgender is a subject of passion for me as I have studied them for longer than I am going to admit. Despite what Gays, Lesbians, Bi, Heterosexual, & yes Transgender themselves think, they (transgender) are as diverse emotionally, physically, mentally as all the rest of the human population. Many of them just like everyone else wants to put themselves in a definitive box. If these specifications and criteria are met then they are trans.

So much drama!

It seems that everywhere I turn there is drama. Pretty much all my family are Republicans. A couple are pretty much centralists. Even our so called new President is nothing but a drama queen. Thanks a lot for turning the Country I love into a joke Donny J. Let's be honest Donny J Trumphas to be the biggest drama queen of all. Then there is my eldest daughter. She's seven going on twenty seven, like most kids her age I guess. That kid is so much like me it scares the crap out of me. My Mom once said to me, you know Cheryl now I know that God is just. On asking what she meant she replied.

-Google+

Does anybody know how to shut off and hopefully remove Google+? After basically doing nothing for several years it has suddenly decided to pollute my screen and notifications with crap from some comments I posted on youtube. I really don't care that 10 other people have commented on the same video I commented on six months ago. It seems it won't let itself be turned off or removed. I don't want it, I don't need it and I don't ever intend to use it.

Who here has not suffered from identity theft or bank fraud.

Recently a co-worked had jury duty she showed up and was in a jury pool. Before the lawyers got to ask questions the Judge asked "has anyone here Suffered from Identity Theft, Credit Card Fraud, or Bank Fraud? Since it is So common the court will not be harsh if you do not admit it but please do." Well Only 3/4 of the potential Jury Panel raised there hand. The Defense Lawyer was mot happy with so few panel members being left and complained. That his client could not get a fair trial with so few people to draw from.

Part two of Gaby's (and my) birthday special

Okay so we'll start by linking you to todays chapter, Japan Revisited - more intrigue and gossip from Dernau!

In other news this week, the laptop that had fixed itself has fallen over again so that's looking terminal but on a more positive note, my injured leg is much better and I expect to return to more serious riding this week.

Oh and thanks to everyone who sent birthday greetings.

I've been gone

Hi, it's me again, I've been gone for a while. I haven't been able to get computer access for a while now and have been reading the stories from my phone. My fingers are too big to easily type on my phone and I have to delete and retype most of what I write. I'm still in the same state of mind/ situation as my other posts, and it's starting to bleed through the mask I show to the world. No one that knows me in real life know the real me and that I am a girl inside. I feel so alone and stressed.

Sensorship in the Big Closet????

I am somewhat saddened this morning to realize that censorship has reared it's ugly head here.

I posted a blog late last night regarding the most recent reversal made by the Trump administration, and commented about a posting I had found on the LinkedIn site - a comment which was not only anti-TG, but ignorant and hurtful.

Gaby Book 19

Just a heads up - the new Gaby book - Girl's on Fire - the 19th in the series will debut with part one on Sunday 19th February. If I can get my head in gear there will be a Gaby birthday special - it's her birthday next Saturday of course.

Being off everything - food and bike included, i've had no excuse not to get on with it!

I hate being ill! Mystery muscle damage in calf, mystery pains in sinuses and associated deafness - aargh!

Until the morrow

Looking for a story....

and hoping that the crowd can help.

I don't have many details on this.

1. It was a M2F transformation story

2. The main character was an enlisted man in the army.

3. There was a lot of stink (odor) as the transformation happened in the barracks' shower/bathroom area.

4. A senior enlisted Master Sargent / Sargent Major was involved and had to sneak the converted woman off the base and into "no tell" type motel/apartment.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Thank You!

OH MY GOSH!

I have just seen some amazing satire. Alec Baldwin was incredible as Trump. But I have to say Melissa McCarthy was even better as Sean Spicer. Despite being a proud, true blue Republican. Why the hell did we let Trump get this far? I'm betting that if Mr. Trump is watching it. Saturday Night Live (SNL) must really be getting to him. Please note I said Mr. Trump as he's not my President. I just hope it continues but, that being said. With that idiot in the White House they will never run out of material.

A mandate from the Prez... " Dress like a woman"

"But darling the President said to do it! I just want to 'look the part'." - Maybe he has stock in nylon stocking & cosmetic manufacturing companies. "Look the part" he said.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. A dress code for females... nice ties for the males. Does this sound fair? May as well have fun with it, eh?

Somewhere Else Entirely Tome

After finishing up the tome titled Somewhere Else Entirely I have mixed feelings about it. First is is an unbelievably captivating story tale. The rich dialog and descriptive phrases gave it life. This is akin to an action movie we can enjoy for the action scenes and the story plot which holds together rather than a movie with no story to tell or adventure to fill in the lack there of. Some of the telling got a little long as the author was into what the heroine described the next "new idea" to the people involved. But all in all it was an imaginative story was it not?

Costa Winner 2017

The winner of this years Costa book award went to Sebastian Barry's Days Without End. A story about the lives and love of two young men who start out as dancing girls in a saloon in the west and their time as soldiers.

This is Brokeback Mountain with requited love. Here is a link to a review from the Irish Times, apt as the author is Irish.

Columbia

Tomorrow, Feb. 1st, is the 14th anniversary of the destruction of the Space Shuttle Columbia over Texas in 2003. The shuttle's left wing was damaged by foam falling from the external tank fittings. The damage allowed reentry heat to enter and destroy the left wing, causing the shuttle to disintegrate. Disintegration actually started over California. Killed were:

Patreon - Too Successful?

This started out as a comment on another blog, but I didn't want that person to feel as if they had been singled out for attention. This is something that has been on my mind for awhile now.

It wasn't that long ago I only knew one person with a Patreon. At last count a few months back there were over 30. A few are set at $1.00 but most have a $5.00 minimum. A small number are higher. So I figure my monthly contributition to the people I really feel I should donate to is close to $150. A month. Ouch!
