Genesis of a Contented Housewife

Sylvia sat in a hardback folding chair with her face towards the bright sun, enjoying the warm spring afternoon. She was generally at peace with the world as she had just enjoyed a delightful lunch and had had the opportunity to renew her friendship with an old and dear friend. She was feeling mellow, aided by three glasses of a gold medal-winning California Chardonnay.

Jack Dunning was just a poor kid from Pittsburgh, no better or worse than any other. When he met Richard, it seemed to be a one-sided friendship; Jack needing Richard much more than the other way around. As the years passed however, it became clear to them both just how important their friendship was, eventually culminating in both learning the hardest lesson in life; that every day is a gift and you should treat each one as though it were your last.

The Dance with Death

“That girl I told you about, I thought she was just a normal girl, but she told me she was something called an Adaption? I wasn’t there for her Ceremony but she said she was born a boy? I don’t really understand but she seems all girl to me. I wonder if that’s because of the Ceremony or who she really is?”

I walked into my room and tossed the car keys on the bed. With a loud sigh that half the house probably heard, I plopped down on mattress and began to go through my phone notifications. Most of it was stupid, some of it was straight from the GAT app. One of the messages pertained to Audrey apparently eating someone’s leftovers from the fridge which made me roll my eyes. Leina was right; she was imitating us but in my opinion she was taking it to an unnecessary extreme. It was time to have a conversation with her and it was going to be uncomfortable.

“I want to ask you a very simple question, and you’re going to give me a straight answer, well, two questions,” Leina nodded as she pressed a button on the control panel, increasing the incline of the treadmill. Around us, the sound of pounding feet, dropped weights, and the occasional grunt resonated throughout the gym. Leina towered over us on her treadmill, dressed in a gray mid-riff tank top and a pair of skin tight black leggings. “Why are you asking this?”

“Well,” Tiffany said, stumbling over her words a bit. “I mean, Audrey…she doesn’t always listen to us and-“

I take a deep breath as I stand on my mark at the end of the street, flanked by four other young women the same age as me. We’re all dressed more or less the same- either loose summer dresses or (in my case at least) a floaty tank top and a short denim skirt, along with strappy summer sandals and thick make-up. I know I look gorgeous and I know I look effortlessly, perfectly feminine, but I’m still nervous- after all, there’s a lot riding on today, and the tiniest flaw in my look could ruin everything.

For 35yrs the border between the Human Empire and Gorgonzola Empire as remained mostly peaceful. The citizens for the Human Empire of this border region are loyal to the last man, woman, and child to the Empire. It was on one of these worlds that gave birth to a legend. The world of Apollo 6 is one of the harshest worlds within the Empire. One so harsh that only it could claim to be the birth world of James J. Owens, the most feared of Death Dealers. A world that is even now poised to give birth to a new legendary warrior. One who shall be baptized in the blood of the Empire’s enemies. Robert Wolff youngest great grandchild of James Owens’ sister Cecilia Owens.

It's Saturday. After visiting Bikini Beach in the morning, Lucy goes to high school for marching band. She meets Fab, and joins him and June the rest of the day, meeting June's family.

Bunberry's Punishment

“I can’t believe it! I saved my first person today. She’s a girl a little younger than me and is cute as a button. Though the strangest thing happened. The Goddess Raftilia showed up and seemed to take an interest in her. I was instructed to leave, so I did, though I wonder why she was there?”

"—were supposed to train—” Bunberry struggled to move her body or even open her eyes. Consciousness felt so close to her, yet it still eluded her. The voice was indiscernible, although she could feel it had authority.

I was very surprised when I got a call from Philip. He invited me to be his date for the premiere of his sister’s new action movie. I had not expected him to invite me, his old high school girlfriend. Admittedly that was only a couple of year ago but I had dumped him with some very harsh words. Not that he wasn’t a macho jerk fixated on martial arts but, anyway, there was no need for me to be THAT cruel to him. Actually he was a rather pathetic figure always in the shadow of his older, gorgeous and popular sister Anne. Well, Anne really enjoyed putting him down. Partly from guilt but mostly because I’d never been to a big Hollywood premiere I accepted.

Chapter 4

Waking up next to Sam was amazing. I was toasty warm beneath the quilts whilst the coolness of the room played upon my face. Spooning up against her warm body felt like heaven. The scent of the coconut oil had worn off somewhat and her body’s natural aroma was titillating to my senses. Sam put her arm over me let me know she was awake.

Chapter 1. The table is set

"You cheated on me!"

Tim slapped his hand against his chest in disbelief.

"WHAT?" he blurted out. "What are you talking about?" he said with a dumbfounded look on his face.

"Don't even..." she scowled as she rummaged through her drawers looking for his shit. "I can SMELL her on you." She gathered together some of his boxer briefs and threw it in his face. They hit the floor in an undramatic way.

Emily cross-dresses as a man to gain Natalie's affection but at the cost of her relationship with Nate. Unable to reconcile with either personalities, Emily decides to take more drastic action.
