In most areas of magic, I am generally considered to be a very weak wizard…but in one area I am almost peerless. In my specialty area of magic, I am generally considered to be one of the most powerful wizards in the United States. I am woefully unprepared to hurl bolts of lightning around or transform dogs into cats, but when it comes to sensing potentials in people, places and things…I am generally very capable. Because of this talent, I have been highly successful in training some of the most well known magic users in the world.

So another one from the way-back machine. There was a specific reason this one was on hold though; it has to do with two little segments involving canon characters. I debated leaving it out, but while this one is harmless the next one is used for a bit of explanation and back story. I don't like to play with other people's characters as a rule... but this just fit the story too well. I did sort of ask permission, and wasn't told I couldn't... so here we go.

With apologies to Maggie Finson and Bek D. Corbin specifically, and Whateley canon in general, here we go.

Please remember this one is a fan fiction, and if you feel the characters portrayed are a bit out of character; well, the blood moon was out. The planets aligned, and the dimensions were melting under the weight of various class X's. Choose your poison there.

Schuster Hall, Whateley Academy

After surviving an unexpected and brutal encounter with a monster, a young man is drawn into the world of the Val Kyr.

Anyone remember this one? I know, I keep asking that. But I keep feeling like I need to. I should probably do something about that in fact; taking months to update a story is probably my most irritating feature as a writer. If only my muse didn't have ADHD.

Anyway, the plot thickens for Sasha.

“I just did some rough calculations and I think because we are lighter and we do not displace as much water and have less drag and we’re not utterly dependent on the wind we will be able to catch up with the cad in time.”

I blink. “In time for?” Wow that was a lot of silver dollar words.

“Hopefully if my estimates are true before we have to cross and go around Cape Horn.”

I blink and nod. I did that once and our ship was taking it’s time and we waited a full day and a half for the weather that the captain had wanted.

I look at Daniel and we both nod and Dr. Faraday looks at us both. “Perhaps you both should have a plan of action for when we do catch up with them.”

*And Now…

CHAPTER 39
Sar was at him like a shot, telling him to watch his mouth round her little boy.

“Sorry, girl, I was looking for my nephew”

My little sister pulled a seriously vicious look onto her face.

“You don’t recognise me, then?”

Ta da! The plot thickens and the weird factor intensifies. In this chapter we find out, well im not quite sure what we find out to be honest. You tell me.
