I managed to find some of my poetry pieces, I wrote this one while reflecting on how depression, etc., can affect people.

The Voice Within

I walked alone in a garden,
When my life seemed so drear and dark;
I could not see the flowers there
Or hear the sweet song of the lark.

I wandered here, then wandered there,
Looking for a way to the light;
I knew not where I went nor why,
Just that life seemed eternal night.

I think a certain captain may have missed her calling in life, and should have been a counselor.

See, I had been feeling rather down lately. I had just marked another birthday, and afterward I found myself taking stock of my life, and wondering if I in fact really had accomplished anything of value in my time in this universe.

Milsy and Tarvan spend some time out at the home of the Royal Astronomer, installing the clocks he requested. On their return to the palace they learn of a recent disaster, which causes plans to be changed.

Chapter V. I’m Going Crazy

The last time I saw my father was when I was in sixth grade. He had dropped us off at school and that night, his car, the one that Alex drives now, was found on the side of the Springdale Hwy. No damage, well, nothing out of the ordinary. The glove box was untouched. There was still an immense pile of coffee cups on the passenger side and fuel in the tank.

No key in the ignition.
No other tire tracks.
No blood.

When 15 year old Byron and his family go to visit Aunt Dora during spring break, they soon find themselves under an unexpected attack. In the aftermath, Byron's body and life change in ways that he never could have expected, or imagined.

I'm sorry it has taken me this long to post but I'm terrified I'll mess up the chapter listings or something and I procrastinate. Then real life has thrown plenty of change-ups at me in the last 30 days. And I didn't want to get too far ahead of Ashleigh.

We learn that Nikki is helping Atalanta in some small ways to learn to blow off magic that she attracts. Atalanta learns she'll be going on a field trip to a local liberal arts college to gather ideas for her play. What could possibly go wrong with that plan it seems Dr. Bellows and Carson never learns. Anyway it ought to be fun!

Again I apologize for the delay and I do hope you enjoy the story.

"Not all of it."

I slowly moved to kiss him. I wasn't thinking anymore. All of the health videos, magazines, books, gossip, all of these things that told you how to do everything...complete and utter shit. No one should have had to study how to lean over and kiss someone. We didn't take a class or have cards to study before a test--we just did what came natural.
