The first day of sophomore year I walked down to the school bus stop. My best friend since we were toddlers, but who had spent summer somewhere else, was already standing there waiting.

- Hi, Sally! Love that dress!

Sally looked at me surprised. I don’t know why. That dress really was beautiful and it made her look gorgeous. The thin black pantyhose made the most of her stunning legs.

- Jake! You knew. You knew all the time!
- Yep. I probably knew before you did yourself

I answered my best friend who the last time I’d seen him had been known as Sal, short for Salomon. I was happy for her. It had taken her much longer time to come out of her shell than I had expected and hoped. I was looking forward to what new relationship we would have. I really was.

My head was bowed against the chilly wind as I made my way down the busy sidewalk. Above me, buildings loomed like giant grey dominoes, their blank windows reflecting the gloomy winter sky. I maneuvered through the crowd surging alongside me. It was four o’clock on a Friday, and everyone was eager to make it back home and slough off their coats, hats, gloves and scarves. I, however, was not headed home. My destination lay a little further ahead, on the corner of the block. I approached with haste, drawing my scarf more tightly around my face as tiny flecks of snow began to fall.

087 – To Teldor and Beyond

Erika goes to Hollywood for a photo shoot and finds herself on a date with one of the hottest leading men in movies. What happens in Hollywood stays in Hollywood, right?

"Men, this is it, the Midway of our time," the crackly male voice spoke boldly through the speakers. "The Targ have sacked their last planet. No longer will we give them ground. No longer will we let them threaten our existence."

It was April 5th, 2365. Humanity faced a threat from the stars unlike any other, and for the astrosailors of the Fighting 3rd Fleet, this was the day that changed everything. The largest task force the deadly Targ had ever assembled was on its way to Gliese 667, and they were bringing their newest secret weapon.

For the obviously female Lt Commander Elisabeth Orpha, as well as the other women of the fleet, it meant putting aside disagreements over command's rampant misogyny. All that mattered was survival. For if the 3rd Fleet falls, Earth will fall with them.

The police charged in.

The sounds of violence had ceased some minutes ago.

The sounds had included everything from crashing sounds and explosions to machine gun fire.

The arms dealing gang were dead so were the drug pushing terrorists, the armed police however were not looking for them they were looking for the hero called Ying-Yang.

“I really should go out there, people are getting hurt.” I said to Sarah.

“Not yet, Eddi” Sarah cautioned me.

“But ...” I objected.

“If Loki really is out to get you, this would be the perfect time, while everybody is busy with these aliens. Wait, and I’m sure the Doctor will be able to figure a way that you can help without putting yourself in danger.” Sarah pointed out.

He grinned at me. “I must say, that you look very hot and sexy in that mini-dress”

Chapter 10: 199-200 CE: The Trip to Alexandria

With that Fiach reached over to pull her knives from the belts of the shocked guards. Once more she showed the knives were sheathed. “I can be quite deadly. However, like my husband Raben I’m a healer. I don’t like killing but some people can’t be talked out of being stupid.”

With that she did a back flip off the table kicking the leg of the tipped chair spinning it into the air, catching it, putting it upright before the table and sitting down... all in one fluid motion. The guards were clearly unnerved, stepping back from the little wildcat. The captain shivered knowing he and his men could have been easily killed by Fiach. The fantastical story the witnesses had told of the deadly whirlwind that engulfed the six much larger thugs was suddenly believable.

With the news of the impending visit from Lucy's Mother the pair sprang into action. Not only did they have to prepare their home but themselves as well. As ever, Andrea was the more organised of the two. She prepared a seemingly endless list of things to do before the evening of Good Friday. Lucy both applauded and cursed her partner in the project. Applauded for the way Andrea just didn't panic and got on with it without much fuss. Cursed because Lucy had a lot to do just when she should be working on her dissertation.

A breakthrough! They know where Amber is and the wheels begin moving to get to her before it's too late. But there's a crossing of a line that Elizabeth isn't happy about and she let's Paul know.

Author's note: Yes, I know I have several incomplete stories, but my muse sent me this one today, so I'm sharing it.

They say you always remember your first love, and I sure do.

We both lived in the same neighborhood, and became part of the group of kids who hung out together whenever the opportunity came up.

I guess we were lucky, in a way. We were part of the last generation of kids who were sent outside to play on their own, no adults hovering over us.
