*Before…

I look in the mirror and he’s there and he’s just not…I take a breath and shift my weight and adjust my posture and stuff and yeah…It’s not me.
I take out a sheet of paper from my note pad in my drawer and some tape and I draw a 6 on it.
Six days…counting today six days before I’m taking of the mask and being done with all of it.
I head down stairs and I can smell breakfast bacon cooking and I see a pair of M.J.’s styling calf high boots at the door and I smile.
I actually really missed her yesterday.
And she’s here first thing and she’s not a morning person so she’s here for support.
I really love her for that.
Okay maybe today’s going to be alright….I cross my fingers and then head into the kitchen.

But Ripley…Oh my goddess she kicks butt…and then it’s getting more and more intense and then there’s this whole thing when she’s on the ship and the queen’s on the ship and the walking forklift thing and I’m with Mom and Rachel and her mom as all the women are yelling out along with her at the screen.

“Get away from her, you BITCH!”

It didn’t matter, it really didn’t matter…she was really debating too on letting Kira know her own little secret but…not right now…not after everything today and this.
Kira was really scared because Emily could feel her shaking as she kissed with her.
She broke the kiss and looked Kira in the eyes.
“It doesn’t matter.”
(Sniffle.) “It doesn’t?”
“Nope, not a bit you’re still the most beautiful girl in the state.”
Kira gave her this; a little teary but really amazing smile.
“You’re so amazing Em.”
Emily shyly smiled back.
“Ditto beautiful, Ditto.”

On Your Own

The Peters weren't the first to leave, nor were they the last which allowed several of us to be distracted by the renewed activity on the boards. Several riders were whizzing around the boards, laughing and joking as they went, clearly comfortable with each other and the track, the only one I recognised was Chris Hoy. It was with very mixed feelings that I watched my cousin and her parents depart but any chance of regret was interrupted by my being addressed from behind.

This is the story of a theatrical acting opportunity that was so unexpected that it was too good to pass up. A role of a lifetime for our High School thespian may just turn out to be the role for a lifetime.

*Before…

She looked at her dad and he waited until the cops had left and offered his hand to the bus driver who shook it and the sheriff who just looked at him and his hand and then headed towards his car. “I have to get this to evidence and do up a report, good evening all.”

He left with a nod and got in his truck and drove off and the bus driver left after that saying he had to do the same after getting the bus back to the garage.

Emily looked at her sister and her Dad and her throat hurt and her mouth was dry.

“I’m so sorry you guys, I’m sorry.”

Both of them hugged her and she started crying and they hug walked her up the drive way to the house.
