Chapter 8

I felt good. This whole thing might not be so bad when all was said and done. She liked me. Meredith liked me and was interested in going out with me. I was floating on the air. Add to that the fact that my body never felt so good and it was easy to see why I was feeling that way.

Meredith looked over at me as we followed our guides, noticing my goofy grin. “What is it?”

“Nothing. I just feel great. Thank you for this Merry.” I hugged her tight.

She hugged back and laughed, “Now I feel like a hobbit.”

I awoke shaking and sweating, tangled in my sheets. My dreams had been filled with lots of nightmares, of taunting and beatings by faceless jocks or being exposed and laughed at by faceless girls. I remembered half-waking a few times through the night, to be calmed and soothed by Meredith. I vaguely recalled her holding me and murmuring in my ear. She was still curled about me, breathing softly. She looked like she had slept well. Lucky her.

I guess I must have looked a little scared at that realization; I know I felt it. I had effectively agreed to give up four years of my life for this. How in the hell had I not managed to figure that out until now? What the hell was I going to do? I didn’t want to be a girl for four years. I took a drink of my water. It was a big one and I almost choked on it. I coughed and the two girls patted me on the back as I tried to catch my breath.

Mary leaned forward and placed the tip of the strap on to Joanna’s ring piece, Joanna twitched , Mary said “ try to relax sweetie it will not hurt as much” easier said than done thought Joanna.

The test at the end of the week was fairly rough, on clothing, how to use make up and do my hair and colors. It pretty much told me what I know and don’t know. In fact I am not so sure that too many girls actually know all this stuff themselves but I had to know it. Meredith told me afterwards that she didn’t really know anyone who could answer everything and that enabled me to be graded on a curve. I was actually really thankful for that.

Joan is finally allowed back in class. She begins to question Jared’s character. After much deliberation the three musicians agree on a name for the band. And finally, Fred offers Sam a job…

Chapter Three

Rhonda shifted uneasily in her seat. The chairs at St. Mungo’s were not the most comfortable. People kept staring at her because there was nothing obviously wrong with her. With all the people smoking, bubbling, heads stuck in tea kettles, vanished limbs and the like, she stood out quite easily. She fidgeted some more. How long was it going to take Neville to get down here?

Julian begins his new Lake Orenda regime as he is quite uniquely prepared for a day in the village. So, if lots of frilly sissy outfits, super swishy behavior and a little kinky sex - not to mention very dominant women - are your thing, please read on. If not, thanks for looking.

Joan has a hard time coming to terms with the powers that be. With the help of family and friends she manages to get things straightened out for the time being. Sam does his best to make sure that Joan’s alright...

Gwen, Meredith and I took the back stairway up to the third floor to the room I was going to be living in. When we got there Gwen opened the door and let me walk in first. The room was all bright colors and flowers. It was a very feminine room, what with all the stuffed animals on the bed and posters of both unicorns and nearly naked men.

Wheee! It was a fun ride for me, I hope you all had as much fun! Now, I know there's a lot of questions surrounding elements of this story, but I'm more than happy to help provide the answers! This one doesn't have a lot of new conflict and confusion -- makes me feel like I've failed if haven't caused at least one headache per chapter -- but does offer up some good old-fashioned information dissemination and resolution. Part 19, enjoy!

Okay, I guess it doesn't have to wait until tonight, seeing as how I'm sitting at the computer while my hostess snoozes softly nearby. Trying not to wake her, as it appears she needs a full eight hours of sleep instead of the three that I do. Well, here's part 17, then, so enjoy!!

Okay! I woulda posted earlier, but TopShelf wouldn't even load. Hrm. I dunno if it was down or just my ability to access it. The latest plan is this: when the story is all done, I'm gonna schedule a time to be on IRC for a total FTS Q&A -- no question about the series will be unanswered (as long as it's ASKED). I'd really like anyone that has questions about it to be there, as we're rapidly approaching the end. Scott Ramsey and Eric have theorized a lot -- but so have some others! Please keep an eye out for when I'm gonna do it. When it's done, I'll post the (cleaned up) log of the session as a DVD Special Feature 'Behind the Scenes and Making of FTS' the next day. United States Independence Day Special Number One! I've been thinking... rather than the whole, writing a 'Behind the Scenes' what would people think about simply having a no FTS-questions barred chat session that I could log and then post? Just answering the questions and explaining things? Here's part 13, though we're getting close to the end, and this is the longest FTS chapter yet! Hope you all enjoy it!
Last Minute PS: I got wrapped up in another movie (Stranger Than Fiction), sorry, Sk8r Grrls will be in the next hour -- promise double!

A little later than normal today, but I crashed and crashed hard this morning. Slept for a whole five hours. Anyway... *ahem* Happy Independence Day to those in the United States! Er... to those not in the United States, um, Happy Wednesday instead! As a bonus, later today I'll be posting an extra chapter of Sk8r Grrls and Family Tragedies and Secrets, both. Yaaay, me! Okay, here's the story, enjoy!

Hrm. I really don't know how many chapters there will be in all, but it's becoming evident that people want some "Behind the Scenes" stuff. So, when I'm done with this series, I'll post a list of scenes I would write to clear up confusion and directions for how to get me to write the one YOU wanna see. Hee! Hope folks are enjoying reading it as much as I'm enjoying writing it!

It's 2048, and besides all the normal stresses, teens are now faced with the possibility of many strange changes induced by the MORFS virus. Sanura has fallen into the trap that was set for her. Her captors have discovered what happens when you try to cage a hybrid and now Sanura will come face to face with the man who has been after her.

My goal, by the way, is that when people get to the end of the story, they'll understand evrything by then, and won't have to be confused anymore -- honest! Hope you all enjoy!
