“I can't believe I did all those things today!” Danny's eyes shined with happiness in spite of the heavy gray clouds that had hung overhead all day long.

It’s ironic, I was stealing things so I could go as Ronnie and now the opportunity was being given to me when I didn’t deserve it… “You should send a girl’s outfit with me for Bobby, as well as a girl’s bathing suit.” … Mom is not happy that I had done that without her permission. The result is I’m not going out Friday or Saturday night… ...I have enough clothes here that you could dress and be a girl for part of a day. Around eleven o’clock tomorrow there shouldn’t be anyone at the girls’ shower.

Amy turns Maggie around and kisses her gently on the lips, and Maggie melts into her arms and holds her tight.

“I was so lucky when I found you,” she whispers, and Amy smiles.

“Not as lucky as I was to find you.”

“I’m lucky to find you both.” Finn’s voice comes over their comm units, startling them both. “Especially since you keep hiding yourselves away to whisper sweet things to each other. It’s almost time for you two to make your entrance. Are you ready?”

Bishop grins and gives her best girl a squeeze.

“Yes, Michael,” she replies, looking into Amy’s eyes, “Let’s go make Harlan Straker cry.”
 

The rapid fire pace of the last two weeks continue. Some problems solved. New Problems develop. New Allies discovered, and a nasty villein in the shadows. Oh My.

Rites of Spring Break (Part 1)

Worse still, his actions, once firmly grounded in logical and reasoned thought, show a surprising lack of judgement.

(The delay of this next chapter of the ordeal Miriam Roberts was dealing with in a small town in West Virginia in the mid1950’s was due to an obsessive rewrite by the author, not to mention compulsive editing and tedious research. It must have been a critical time for Miriam to necessitate such a delay.)

CHAPTER 22 - Adrift

The first I knew of what was happening was a hand over my face and a soft voice whispering in my ear.

“Yeah,” Agent G answered his phone, still half asleep.

“This is a Code Critical.” The dispassionate voice on the other end announced.

So... we've finally reached the end of this story. Barbie and I want to thank everyone who read, commented on and/or kudoed the story. We have both been very gratified to see that a lot of you enjoyed it and stuck with it to the end. There is some mild violence in this part but it's crucial to the plot and the story and will explain further what and who was behind Barbara's transformation and the reasons for it.

CHAPTER 17 – Fortunate Fool

My date with Phil went too quickly, we went to the mall like Mom suggested after I introduced him to her. He had this little scooter thing that sounded like a sewing machine but we both fit on it and we zoomed off in a cloud of smoke zipping between cars.

CHAPTER 13 – Crying Shame

Daniel Davis has no clue as to what kind of person he really is and all he knows is that he's inexplicably miserable despite having a loving wife, wonderful young daughter, and a good job. But all that begins to change when a psychologist gives him an explanation for the huge gaps in his memory.
