While Mikey and I were trolling the internet for customs, cultures and quirks of the various countries we would be visiting, my phone chirped with a text.

I figured it would be Dez, although I considered it might be Eoin or Kirk. A little voice in the back of my head thought it could even be Bianca.

Nope.

I swallowed hard when I saw the 203 area code.

What the hell happened?

I quickly excused myself from Mikey and curled up into a chair in the corner where I cradled the phone between my folded knees and texted her back.

Things started with Jeff ready to turn 13 years old, dressing in his sister’s clothes and makeup; he didn’t expect to get caught… The discovery of him cross-dressing begins the blossoming of Jessie... By the time Dad and Mike got to me I’d got the back wheel out and was waiting impatiently.

“Early doors.” Mike mentioned as he slotted in the replacement.

“Yeah.” I sighed.

I quickly mounted up and with a shove from Mike was back on the road.

Roxx wasn’t tired at all, if anything she was jacked up on what seemed like a much finer drug than any she had ever used. She could feel a connection with everyone. If only Lust had thought of this, using sex is just so sixteenth century.

Drugs were certainly the future.

Roxx had come to think of it as tanning; soaking up invisible energy to make oneself darker.

Sounds perfect to me.

“Oh, look.” She said, recognizing the tune.

“They’re playing my song.”

Dammit woman…just do it! I’m yelling mentally at myself and it’s still scary hard but almost like I can’t help it and I end up nodding yes.
Ryan smiles but y’know there’s something else there too, it’s in his eyes that he kind of gets it.
And that’s nice…it helps a lot as he comes around and gets my door and we head to the movie place and we start checking out what’s playing and where to go and there’s a lot of stuff playing and just for fun he takes me to go see “Muppets Most Wanted.”

Out and just for fun with a big thing of popcorn to share and a medium root beer and doing this.
Fun’s been a long time from now.
And when they’re opening almost right away with a musical I’m already smiling.
I missed fun.

I don’t know if it was loyalty or stubbornness that had motivated me to still go with it. Loyalty or stubbornness that made me continue our quest to adopt a child.

Arrivals keep coming at the palace and the staff are forced to take measures to ensure everything works smoothly. Eventually almost everyone has arrived and Garia joins the wives and daughters of the various rulers for a get-together... which exposes a gulf in comprehension.
