I am from DC, as many know, and I cannot help but be worried about the superstorm coming to hit the east coast. My ma and dad have buttoned down their house and are ready to ride out the hurricane.   Dad also secured my house in Maryland, so it's as safe as it can be. I hope all of you have prepared in like manner.

Moe and I are safe all the way here in Manila, but the reason I am posting this blog is so that we can wish all of our friends there in the east coast to be safe, and to weather the hurricane (pun intended) and come out on the other side safe n sound. Good luck, be safe, follow the warnings, and don't do anything stupid.

See ya all later!

Thank you!

I thank you, and I suspect all of us that are in harms way (Okay, Sandy's way) thank you for your wishes.

So far, we're seeing rain picking up - and winds picking up a LOT. Other areas, under water.

We live up in the low mountains (high hills?) in Northern NJ, so we're safe from flooding; we lost power for 10 days when Irene struck last year. My prayers to all!

And in further news, near Morristown, NJ, Sandy is rocking and rolling. A big window blew out of my porch a bit ago. There have been a couple of loud bangs that sounded like something hitting the house. Maybe tree limbs, but I won't know till morning. It's not safe to go out and do an inspection now.

Be safe everybody!

Thank you for...

The well wishes Bobbie! The winds getting pretty strong here in the Hudson Valley(NY). Still not much rain yet, but its coming they say. Amazingly just about every thing is close around here so thankfully emergency services has been quiet as well (I probably just jixed myself saying that!) . My FD has had a quiet standby so far, hence I'm here writing this message, hope it stays this way. I urge everyone in the east coast (usa) to stay home and stay safe as well.. (Hugs) Taarpa
