Brian just wants to be normal like everyone else. His best friend helps hatch a plan that will make that happen. How will it all turn out?
This is the first chapter, in what I hope to be a near novel length book. Chapter 2 is with editors, and work has progressed well on Chapter 3. Your comments and encouragement will help speed me along.
James is 15 just turned 15 actually, today is his birthday, celebrating it with his family.. but what he doesn’t know is that his family isn't from this world, they are from another.. and he doesn't belong here.. and things are just about to start getting very interesting.
Chase Moynihan boarded the flight to Hawaii with his four friends with the intention to spend the summer at his parents beach house, just like every other year. When the storm diverted their flight fate, or something else, stepped in and made the experience a fight for his life.
Alex Adams begins his High School journey with the help of his friend Roxanne. His journey takes him places few boys have the opportunity to experience. His gradual acceptance of his changes helps enrich his life, but forces him to make some complex choices.
Ostracized by family and many friends, Melissa Sterling finds herself on the cold, lonely streets. Being transgendered, not many opportunities present themselves and too many people are overtly discriminatory. Like her family, the state safety net has abandoned her with no income and no health care. A modern American tragedy. In her own mind, she can't seem to catch a break and life doesn't seem worth living. That is, until fate seems to have another plan in place.
Charlie Sandsmark and his mother, Helena, travel around the world from one archaeological dig to another, looking for evidence of the ancient Amazonian culture. So far they have found nothing, until Charlie discovers something wonderful about himself on a small island in the Aegean Sea.

Note, however, that, although The Working Girl Blogs have ended, the author has continued with more of her personal stories, observations, and other things with her new series, The Family Girl Blogs. Here's the link to these new blogs:
This is my day-to-day blog on BigCloset TopShelf, as I make my way through life as a newly-minted girl.
Mostly inconsequential, sometimes interesting, almost always borrring.
Still, reading my shi... umm stuff is more interesting than watching paint dry...
How would you react if all of the sudden everyone around you began a fifteen-minute-long metamorphosis from one sex to the other, including yourself, only to learn that it isn't an isolated incident but happens worldwide? Then, exactly twenty-eight days later, the whole thing happens again, only in reverse. Over several years, humanity will adapt and this sort of thing will become common place. But, we witness this crucial advent through the eyes of an average American teenager, Micheal MacAllister, and learn how he copes with the fact that for half his life he will now be known as Mekayla.
Fifteen year old Christopher has to stay with his aunt and three cousins in Shrewsbury for the summer whilst his mother undertakes a business trip to Europe. An unforeseen incident on the train means that he arrives without any luggage or spending money. He must quickly find a job to replace them both. Fortunately the friend of one of his cousins is in urgent need of some waitresses for her business, and Chris and one of his cousins are able to help out. However, life as Emily can get complicated, particularly after she meets someone quite special.
The story is set between July and September 2009, principally in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England, but also with journeys to Birmingham Airport and Sheffield.
A strangely-dressed person is found, unconscious, on the rocks below a remote mountain road. When the stranger recovers it soon becomes apparent that nothing will ever be the same again...
Penance sometimes takes the strangest forms. If James McAllister's was to ever make it into heaven then he'd have to learn to forgive himself. Perhaps living a while, in the body of a young victim, might give him that chance.
Ken is having a hard time finding a girlfriend and his friends are tired of trying to help him only to see their best efforts end in disaster. They’ve decided it’s time for him to solve his own problems so, at their urging and against his better judgement, he goes to a new singles club where he meets a mysterious and astonishingly beautiful woman.
Perhaps there’s a reason why a beautiful girl is sitting alone in a singles bar. Perhaps he should have paid more attention to her warning…
Becca has been having nightmares, all of them involving a certain Mr. Green and how he ruined her life. Now Green's whereabouts might be known and Becca will do whatever it takes to make sure that he doesn't get away from her this time, no matter what the cost.
