Feathers

It had been a bad fight that night almost a year ago, the worst we'd ever had. The wings had appeared on our backs that morning - everyone got them, and it hadn't taken long for the significance of the colors to be understood.

If you had been morally good, your wings were white. If bad, they were stained with black. News video of prisons demonstrated that sharply: almost all inmates and too many of the guards had wings smeared and splotched as if with black tar. Most people had a blend of white and grey - some of the patterns were actually rather pretty. You could even glide with them if they were big enough and you were in moderately good shape, and children started figuring out how to actually fly - though there seemed to be an upper limit to how high up they could get. About ten feet or so seemed to be the limit. Physicists and biologists were utterly baffled, of course. Chemists were having a field day in tremendous excitement analyzing the composition of the feathers - but that's another story.

This is about us. Me and my wife. My wings were no better nor worse than most folks; though I could see a few splotches of darker grey mixed in. My wife, Sarah, hers were brighter than mine - except for a couple feathers that appeared rather splattered with black ink.

I felt myself being lifted off the ground a few moments later. At this point I felt a fever starting to form, and my fingers and legs were starting to tremble. I slowly opened my eyes and noticed two faces were peering down at me. Both belonged to teenage girls, one had blonde hair and blue eyes, the other had black hair and blue eyes. Angels? Had I really died and gone to heaven? 

This is the start to a short series that I had no idea I could, or would, write. It comes about from all the nice comments I received about the set of ‘Polly’ stories.

Chapter 1

It seems that my Muse shared an amphora of The Good Stuff with Bacchus, from his Private Cellar.

And she came back with this “hangover” drabble.

No real bugs were harmed in writing this offering.

I waited for her in front of the theatre and as usual she was late. We had been together for four years and she kinda had made it a habit. It irked me a lot but the moment I saw her, It was as if all my frustrations disappeared. Despite that we had our fair share of fights .

There are multiple ways to approach gender reassignment surgery, all procedures are viable, and each has their own set of complications, which depending on the patient's particular medical history can make one method preferable over the other. The most common is through a method known as penile inversion vaginoplasty (PIV), which basically means cutting open the penis and turning it inside out. This procedure removes the erectile tissue, testicles and much of the scrotum, but preserves the glans, penile skin and urethra to fashion the clitoris and vaginal cavity.

Mica wasn't like most people his age. At 18 years old he was only 4’ 8” tall and very slender, only weighing about 90lbs. It was always joked about in his family that he was the runt and the baby of his family. My name is George, something you may think was not unusual. When I tell you that my older brother is also called George, as is my father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, you can guess that I come from a long and wealthy family.
