Crown or Tiara Chapter 9

"What, pray tell, shall you do if I refused to do as you say? I brought the dead to your realm. I keep you in power. And it has always been I who protected you and your realm. Now you wish to remove me, because I enjoyed my duty? I return this blade to you, brother. The next time we meet again, I shall have another blade, for which shall I use to sever your head from your shoulders.

Wine Can't be Pressed into Grapes, part 19 of 22

“I do need you,” she said, beginning to tremble. “I said — I said I didn't want to change back, and I don't, but I want even more to be with you, to make you happy. If the only way I can do that is to change —”

“Shh,” he said. “No, you don't have to change for me.”

Crown or Tiara Chapter 8

Now, the lumination crystals are rather curious objects. For one, although they are called lumination crystals, it does not produce its own light. Rather, it takes whatever light is in its surroundings, then somehow uses that light to shine and illuminate as if by magic. That is why the stronger the light source that hits the lumination crystal, the brighter its light will become.

Stupidnoob

The little girl with the auburn pigtails moved silently down the passage in the dark tower keep. She was noticably small.

Actually she is full grown its just that she is a gnome. She is dress all in dark leather that is well oiled. Her intent is simple she is hungry and she knows that the mage of this tower has some food. Not that conjured food like her sister makes. Its ok has no taste and you get hungry again after awhile. No real food like fresh sweetened goats milk, or Roasted talibuk. The thoughts of such foods made her almost drool.

Wine Can't be Pressed into Grapes, part 18 of 22

She undressed in the dark and stashed her clothes and shoes on the shelves, then looked inward at her structure, deciding what form she wanted for this purpose. She started making changes, reducing her size and altering her structure. Twitching her whiskers and sniffing gingerly at the door, she slipped quietly into the corridor and scurried down it towards the front parlor.

Crown or Tiara Chapter 7

Is this your wish, my sister?
To have us fight against our own flesh and blood,
our own brothers and sisters,
our own fathers and mothers,
our own sons and daughters?
Are we at the place
where we slay each other for comfort?
You resolved to slay our own brother,
and spill his blood on the pure, white clouds.
Melilica shall have no part in this, dear sister.
Do as you wish,
Melilica is already in disappointment.

The Guardian Princess 2: And Justice For All, Chapter 2

When Justice woke up, his surroundings were unfamiliar to him at first. *Oh right* he thought to himself, “This blows.” He finished out loud. Now comes the embarrassment.

The Guardian Princess 2: And Justice For All, Chapter 1

He was being chased again. He was always being chased, it seemed. He was too fast for the store owner and eventually got away with his prize. As the crowds saw him pass, some saw, perhaps, a young slight boy. Others thought perhaps, a girl. He was 5’5, barely 100lbs at 15 years old. He had golden blonde hair, delicate features, and the most stunning purplish blue eyes that most had ever seen. His name was Justice Winters, orphan runaway extraordinaire

“Come,” she said playfully, “I have no romantic illusions about my own brother — I know perfectly well she loves you a hundred times better than you deserve. If it were any other woman, I would try to discourage her by telling her embarrassing stories about you, but Launuru already knows them all, so I'll just have to accept your good fortune.”

Crown or Tiara Chapter 6

And you, Rorvik, how shall you defeat the evil ones? How shall we, who are few, defeat Raiken of War, Veltus of Plagues, Horen of the Sea and Aerean of the Shadows? How shall we defeat Rycus of Calamity, Hesterides of Misfortunes, Dordaros of Greed, Galganis of Desire and Phelaukos the Scholar? What of Olostris, Verinea, Granlain, Asteridas, Felantris, Marsach and Lortus? And how, in your mind, will we defeat the most powerful of them all, Vastramach, the Lord of Doom himself? My brother, do you wish to sacrifice our lives for such childish arrogance?

Wine Can't be Pressed into Grapes, part 16 of 22

Launuru hated herself for her cowardice as soon as she'd run away, but was too ashamed to go back. It was too late to fix things; she'd gambled her relationship with Verentsu, hoping to turn friendship into love, but now she'd made such a mess that there was probably no way they could go back to being friends.

NOTE: This is the revised and expanded version of this story and is my preferred version.

As I seek to find a means to halt Ragnarok I find allies in the unlikeliest of places. New enemies present themselves and I learn of the cruel experiments performed by the mad Doctor Mengele. He claims he can grant men the ability to use magic, but at what cost?

Wine Can't be Pressed into Grapes, part 15 of 22

“You said you were not betrothed to any man back home; do you hope that Verentsu will ask you to be his bride?”

“Yes,” Launuru said shyly. “But I am afraid...” The geas wouldn't let her complete the sentence.

Wine Can't be Pressed into Grapes, part 14 of 22

“What's your custom here in Niluri?” Kazmina asked. “Is a woman normally allowed to ask a man to marry her? It's hard to judge from Tsavila or you what women are normally expected to act like here; even in Setuaznu, enchantresses are allowed more privileges than mundane women, and as for you...”

First Draft - The Opposing Fates - Teaser

This is the first chapter in a story I never finished. I now consider it out of date and won't be updating this storyline specifically, but instead will be working on a rewrite of it! I don't know when or if it will ever come out, but for now, this dusty draft will be kept online for the foreseeable future.

Dragon and Knight

Into the jaws of death the Knight rode. Before him, the early morning fog lingered over the burnt remains of the entrance to the vale. There no signs that once a village had prospered within those borders.

“Might I ask what you think you’re doing?” A voice out of nowhere rumbled like thunder.

Wine Can't be Pressed into Grapes, part 12 of 22

Hadn't Tsavila said that he should be kind to her, for she'd suffered enough already? If she was compelled to act this part against her will, further probing could do no good; he had already learned enough to be sure she was no Vetuatsenu. Various moments of their conversations the day before came back to him: she had repeatedly changed the subject when someone brought up recent events in Netuatsenu, or asked more than a few questions about her family.

Crown or Tiara Chapter 5

The 'Burning of Rhatica' marked a significant turning point in Granvayl's campaign into H'loren lands. The city of Rhatica, previously the trading town called Sassara, was originally part of a H'loren elves' greater territory. Its inhabitants were once servants of the evil woodland elves for over 200 years, until the War of Contested Forest erupted and they saw the light that they thought they would be forever denied.

Wine Can't be Pressed into Grapes, part 11 of 22

“You're probably not related to her, either.”

“What do you mean?”

“I mean I don't know who my mother was. She was a wizard, and probably not from Setuaznu or Niluri or anywhere in between, but my father never talks about her.”

“Maybe he did as the servant said, maybe not. Either way, I fear he did meet with some misfortune, for the last I heard his family had not heard from him either. But wine can't be pressed into grapes. I met Itsulanu when I was angry and sad, and he comforted me. Now in less than three days he is to be my husband, and that makes me happier than I can say. I wish my sometime lover may be happy wherever he is; I forgive him.”

Crown or Tiara Chapter 4

... Queen Windi Festilla, Countess of Baretha, was not born with royal blood. Her ancestors, the famed sages from the east, gained their title through sheer force of will and great determination. The most significant of these was the Battle of Shattered Plains, which facilitated the end of the War of Holy Blood. The Battle of Shattered Plains had become a textbook case of how alchemical potions can win a battle and is taught in most military schools throughout Sidar, including in Orin, whose soldiers was on the receiving end of this formidable tactic. Hundreds of Thunderbolt and Darkness potions were thrown or planted indiscriminately on the battlefield, trapping those Orinians foolish or brave enough to march forward. Although reputedly exaggerated, records mentioned that only 26 out of 31 Arnan family members died and 237 militias fell or went missing. At the same time, Orinian casualty was estimated at over 3000 soldiers and officers, either cause by Thunderbolt potions or arrows treated with Trueflight...

Wine Can't be Pressed into Grapes, part 8 of 22

“Love is a thing holy to Kalotse, and...” Just then she heard a wailing, which got momentarily louder; one of the servants came in holding a fussy, just-woken Miretsi. “A thing with unexpected consequences,” she concluded.

Wine Can't be Pressed into Grapes, part 7 of 22

Launuru said little in the carriage on the way back to the wizard's house. She was thinking about her reaction when Kazmina had suggested that she change back into the man she'd been when she hired the room. It had been as appalling to her just now as the idea of becoming a woman had been when Kazmina suggested it two days ago. If that were so, how could she ask Tsavila to marry her, promising to become a man again soon?

The world is not without irony, as evident by my life. I was born Thurston Olaf Steenberg and grew up hating the Spellbinders and all that they stood for. It was only by becoming what I hated most that I was able to transcend my humble beginnings and do good in the world. The following is the story of my origins. It is not the story of my birth, but of my rebirth. It the story of how I became Aryanna Morgana Le Fey.

Starship 15

Some more, slightly boring I'm afraid. And new, may have to correct some of it. Mostly mine ideas, but as far as I know, correct. And although there is a lot more to be said about the physics, behind physics, we won't, for now. And if you're one of those thinking of 'time' in terms of thermodynamics, I do expect a mail in where you ever so patiently explain where I go wrong questioning those ideas :)

Anyway, it's kind'a for the 'hardcore SF fan' probably.
Or those interested in 'time'.

Anyway.
Bear with me.
