4042 W Avenue 42, Los Angeles, Ca.:
“Wow! Your grandfather’s real estate agent found us a nice place to live, Arabella.” Amy couldn’t believe the house Jack had gotten for them to live in while they were attending college in California.
Jenny was even impressed with the place as she follows behind Amy into the house. She was looking around at the empty house.
“How many bed rooms does this place have?” Jenny was curious as she watches Arabella close the front door.
“Grandpa said that it has three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms.” Arabella knew they still needed to go out and buy furniture, groceries, and personal items for the place.
“It’s a good thing it has three bedrooms. We can turn one room into your work room and rent out the other bedroom.” Jenny looks towards Arabella and Amy when she says that.
“True, but it will have to be someone we can trust. Grandpa owns this house, but he wants us to pay him rent and all utilities bills come out of our pockets.” Arabella knew her grandfather was teaching her to be a responsible adult and rely on herself instead of her parents and her trust fund.
“Plus, I still have to get my surgery to correct my birth defect.” Amy was nervous about that.
“Not unless you want to uses that Blue Lace drug so you’ll be a true woman.” Jenny knew Amy didn’t trust it.
“No thanks. Remember what happened to Brenda when she used it? She went from being our age to being a five-year-old child. I don’t want to go through puberty again. Besides, how would it react with the hormones I’m already taking?” Amy liked how the estrogen pills she was taking shaped her body.
“True, to bad we don’t have someone in the family that is a chemist.” Arabella would like to know.
“How about your great aunt over in Ireland? Isn’t she a chemist?” Jenny remembers meeting her when Arabella’s great grandmother died and all of the family went to Ireland.
“True, I could ask her. But first we need to do some shopping. Mom said I could use her credit card, but not to go hog wild with spending her money.” Arabella knew what her limits were.
“Let’s make sure we get a bed that all three us can sleep on it. I like hugging my teddy bear when I sleep.” Jenny wraps her arms around Amy and hold her against her body.
“I know what you mean.” Arabella walks up from behind Amy and wrap her arms around her.
Arabella places a kiss on Amy’s neck. She didn’t know when she first met Amy that she would fall in love with her. Hell, she didn’t think she would turn out being a lesbian either, but she never felt comfortable around a guy. She knew how she felt about Jenny after their first sleepover.
Amy loved being held by Jenny and Arabella. Ever since she first slept with them, she knew how she felt about them. She never wanted anything so strongly before.
“You know, now that we have our own place. You might not be allowed to wear any clothes while your home, Amy.” Jenny looks into Amy eyes when she says that.
“I want to have my surgery first, before I start doing that.” Amy hated how she looked naked.
“Speaking of that. When is your surgery?” Jenny was curious.
“A month before school start. Your mother is going to fly me to Thailand to have the surgery.” Amy knew Gina was going to pay for the surgery for Amy.
“Well, we better get shopping and looking for work. I’m glad my grandfather is going to give us three months to settle in before charging us rent.” Arabella releases Amy and step back.
“Me too.” Jenny kisses Amy on the lips before releasing her.
“Oh! What are we going to do about cars?” Amy knew none of them owned any vehicles.
“Mom said we can have our pick of vehicles from a surplus grandpa owns. He gave me the address to the place. I’m keeping the SUV we got from the rental company. I texted mom and told her.”
“Let’s go shopping, ladies.” Arabella wishes she could bring Trigger with her, but she was getting too old and her mother said people would be scared of a wolf in the city.
While the girls are shopping for furniture, they pass a coffee house that was for sale. It was already set up and ready to open.
“Hey, I wonder how much the owners want for this place?” Amy was looking into the dark shop.
Arabella knew how much Amy wanted her own shop. Because Arabella and Jenny had their drone business, but they were thinking about having a store front to sell normal drones for kids to play with.
“Why don’t I have Tammy check it out for us. I could loan you the money from my trust fund to buy it and get it started.” Arabella didn’t mind helping Amy out.
“Thanks. Will you two also help work in it until its really going?” Amy knew it was going to take a lot to get it up and running.
“Sure.” Jenny didn’t mind helping.
Arabella sends a text to the realtor that worked for her grandfather to see how much the coffee shop was. Also, she makes an appointment with the owner of the place so they can look around inside the place as well. She didn’t mind loaning the money to Amy to buy and operate the place. Plus, it would give them a source of income as well.
The rest of the day they shop for furniture and everything they needed. They make arrangements to have the all the utilities turned own. Arabella knew they were going to need access to her grandfather’s satellite system, so she makes arrangements for a satellite dish to be installed as well. She’ll have some techs from Camelot to come out and connect everything, including a new server and an off-site server as well.
She arranges for a backup generator to be installed just in case they lose power. They have to have a custom bed made to support the three of them. The three of them have gotten use to sleeping together.
The next few weeks the three of them are busy. Amy buys the coffee house with a loan from Arabella. Since Amy was related to Arabella and personally knew Mr. Bounty. Tammy manages to get her a good deal on the coffee shop.
As for the staff of the coffee shop, Amy, Arabella, and Jenny do interviews to find the right staff for the place. Background checks are done on everyone they interview. There is one person that the background checked flagged, but her references said she was a good person.
Arabella has her mother come in to interview the woman. The person was going to be the manager and wanted to get the right person while Amy was gone getting her surgery done. Arabella knew no one could lie to her mom. God know everyone that has tried, has meet a gruesome end.
In the end, they end up hiring the person. She even offered to work for less than they were willing to pay her. In the end, Amy made a deal with her, that if she could get a steady group of customers to come in over a five months’ time. She would not only increase her pay, but give her a bonus.
The shop not only offered specialized coffee, tea, and other unique and healthy drinks. But unique pastries that no one else around had. Arabella asked her aunt Silvia if she could come to Los Angeles and teach the staff how to make some of her unique pastries. Amy, Jenny, and Arabella were hoping it might draw in the Latina crowd.
Gina takes Amy away to Thailand to have her operation like she promised her. While Amy is away, Jenny and Arabella interview a young transgender girl by the name of Debbie Colin. She was a performer and loved dressing like she was from the fifties, including the torpedo bras from that time frame.
They met her at the University when they went to get everything they needed. They got to talking and Arabella learned about her from talking with her. She learned that the place Debbie lived was increasing her rent and she couldn’t afford it. Hell, half the time she was on the road with the production company she worked for.
They were a traveling performance troupe and she was normally gone five or six months out of the year. Right now, they were in town practicing and putting together a new production. The thing was, Arabella and Jenny loved the fact that Debbie wore the torpedo bras.
