This is a continuation of the story, Shoes. It's being told from the viewpoint of Brianna's brother, Carl. This story starts in the small hours of the morning after he had a long talk with Brianna about her being a girl. He's still trying to work though things, and finally decides to contact an old friend ...

This is my longest chapter yet and I have to say I thoroughly loved writing this chapter It was sweet, sad, fun, sentimental, and has lots of giggles. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it=)

All right, first things first. There is NO TG or CG content in this. It's bloody, dark, and rather unpleasant. It's also important in setting the stage in the latter stages of the Tale of Jet and Quartz, and adds a great deal of depth to one of the major characters in that tale. This one doesn't have a lot of new conflict and confusion -- makes me feel like I've failed if haven't caused at least one headache per chapter -- but does offer up some good old-fashioned information dissemination and resolution. Part 19, enjoy!
