The Mischief Continues Chapter 16 (Final Chapter)

For the next few days, Fey and Dave work on the veranda. Sammy comes over to give them a hand. They hadn’t heard from Nike but knew it was just a matter of time before she showed back up.

Dave and Fey noticed that Sammy started wearing clothes that showed off her figure more. Dave lightly teased her about it, but Fey knew Sammy was exploring how she always felt and was cheated out of being able to express herself when she was younger.

Lately, there’s been a movement in their hometown to stop transpeople from using women’s locker rooms and bathrooms. One woman who knew Fey hadn’t always been a woman accused her of being a man when she walked out of the women’s restroom at the courthouse. Fey was escorted to the security office and to prove she was a woman, pulled her dress up and showed the security officers she was a woman. She could have hypnotized them, but did.

She could have pressed charges against the woman who accused her of being a man, but she didn’t. She did however tell the woman that if she pulled that stunt on a transgender person again. She would make sure the woman had nightmares for the rest of her life.

Normally, Fey wasn’t a violent person, but she didn’t tolerate stupidity or arrogance. She told Dave about the encounter at the courthouse. Both of them blamed the current political environment. It seemed a few high school girls’ track team members didn’t like the fact that they got beat by a transgender student on the opposing school’s track team.

That was just one instance. A transgender girl volleyball player at one high school had spiked the volleyball too hard and broke the nose of another player from the opposing team. The parents of that student were suing the transgender girl and the high school she played for.

It was bad enough that life was already hard for trans students, but suing them because of a situation that could accord in any game was unbelieveable. Hell, she had to be careful when she came out of high school. There was a group of bullies in her high school who loved to intimidate and beat up people.

By the time she arrived back at her apartment and entered it. She saw a note for her from Jessica.

Fey, I’ll be in Vegas for a week with Barry. I’ll call you once we check in at our hotel. We’re staying at the Circus Circus Hotel.
Love,
Jessica.

A smile appears on Fey’s face and hopes Jessica has a good time. Fey goes about fixing some dinner for herself and hopes things between transgender people and normal people don’t get as bad as she has a feeling that they might get.
