What happens when you return something to Costco

I turn 52 next month. Today the wife and I went to Costco and bought some items including Snapper. When we got home, my wife opened the snapper and immediately said it was no good because it smelled bad. So after less than 10 minutes at home I head back to the store.

He speaks of floppy discs

Dear wife cleaned out the room her mother lived in till she died in October 2010. While doing so she found a plug in floppy disc drive. I had a laptop over a decade ago without a floppy drive and I used the contraption. Until Sunday I thought the thing had been thrown out but it wasn't. Now I'll throw it out.

The other hidden treasure Dear Wife found was almost twenty three dollars in small change.

Insensitve comments

I wrote this post this afternoon at the FM Hyperboard

*****

But the Task Force's concern for upsetting comments or posts to this hyperboard are a recent phenomonon. One I would a causation of the Noah Veil controversy of a few years back and then the website being shut down by its ISP. The Task Force is still smarting from that and rather than have another storm that happened like the NV one, are deleting anything that comes along that threatens another one. No dissent means they won't ever be made to look bad.

Joan Joyce- The best Ted Williams ever faced

ESPN has an article on Joan. She was one of the greatest softball pitchers of all-time and I knew her very slightly back in the mid-1980's. Joan played golf at the same golf course my late father did.

There have been a few women pitchers who can get male professional baseball players out.

Tired

I wrote Erin last night before going to bed asking her to unpublish Mishap. The latest chapter of which had been published for over 12 hours and had not gotten one single comment*.

What a bunch of ingrates. You want want want but can't give. I say it again because I'm sick of the excuses** I hear not to comment. There's even a certain element who will even go so far as to complain they aren't getting the type of stories they want. Those are the same people who never post a comment either. The authors work here for free but they feel they can complain about it.

Duty, Honor, Country, Family - Part 31

“This attempt to make the Watanabes legitimate would likely end in Agent Ripley’s death?” Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda asked his Justice Minister, Kunio Hatoyama.

“I think you are right, Prime Minister-san.”

“You do remember what Fukushiro Nukaga is asking of me?”

“Yes, Prime Minister-san, I do.”

“If Agent Ripley died doing the Swan Song work, do you think that would satisfy him?”

Sydney Australia help

I was hoping someone at BC could answer a question or two about the section known as 'The Rocks' and whereever Sydney's main business district is.( Where the big banks are. Is it the Rocks or another part of Sydney close to The Rocks. ). If someone can help me out, I'd appreciate it. Please PM me or leave a comment here.

Thank you.

Unbelievable Microsoft

The second Tuesday of every month is update day for those whose PCs have windows operating systems. My laptop is one, it has vista. It downloaded the updates yesterday and before I went to bed, I shut the computer off so to install them. Guess what, my laptop won't boot this morning.

Duty, Honor, Country, Family - Part 30

“How are you feeling?” Chuck asked Hiromi

“I am having a little bit of morning sickness right now.”

Chuck smiled. “We’re going to be parents next year.”

“We’re parents already,” Hiromi corrected Chuck. “It’s just a little hard to see right now.”

Chuck kissed his wife again. “I stand corrected, Kimi-chan. Is there anything I can get you?”

Chapter Thirty

Synopsis- Chuck comes back to Hiromi but will she accept his apology?

Duty, Honor, Country, Family - Part 29

“Will you be giving me a ring tomorrow, Chuck?” Gary asked as he got ready to leave the pub. “I got nothing scheduled at all for tomorrow.”

“I don’t know, Gary. My situation with the wife is still up in the air as I told you.”

“Forget about her, Chuck. There’s plenty of Sheilas here in Alice who would give their left arm to be your wife.”

Chapter Twenty Nine

Synopsis: Swan Song seems to be going forward using Ripley’s revised plan. Chuck is having second thoughts about his wife, and running into problems on his own, but his actions have thus far prevented Hiromi’s letter of apology and explanation from reaching him. In the meantime, Gabrielle has volunteered to go through the Double Helix process and take Chuck’s place as Hiromi’s husband, with the general consensus being that she would be more reliable than Chuck if the situation deteriorated, but some provision would have to be made for outside support as well.

Duty, Honor, Country, Family, Part 29

I promised to get this story chapter out by the end of this week. Unfortunately, I been a little too busy with household matters. I've got a little over 12,000 words written but there are two major scenes I still have to complete.

Plus I need to fix up the story before turning it into Puddin. DHCF Part 29 will be ready soon, but now I'm estimating it will be more like Monday to Wednesday of next week before its published.

Is this what I think it is?

A visit to FM's Hyperboard and I found something......I don't want to look too closely. But an image in a Hyperboard reply appears to be of someone stroking themselves. {LINK REDACTED - EDITOR}

If I right, FM has gone down the toilet. It's been going that way, but this is just absolute confirmation. The person who posted it, isn't a registered user. So their post had to get approved before being allowed on the Hyperboard.

Happy Thanksgiving

May everyone here at BC have a great day tomorrow.

I have a new story that will be published either today or tomorrow. It's a one part Spells R Us tale. I won't say much except it is gentle and not very long tale.(A one-parter) You could also describe my plot as what would happen if you mix the SRU Wizard and Groundhog Day together.

For my Duty Honor Country Family readers, the next chapter will be published next week. I took a couple of days off from DHCF to write the Spells R Us tale. It been rolling around in my head for at least two months.
