On two fronts

First my laptop after a system restore and a couple of restarts is working all right. This PC of mine was bought 15 months ago with MS Vista on it. I'm not computer savvy, but I preferred XP over Vista or 7(Which is on a fairly new desktop I own also)

I wrote about Hotaru Ferschke once here at Big Closet and many times elsewhere on the internet. The wife of a Marine who died who in in August 2008 and who was being denied permanent residency because the couple didn't consummate their proxy marriage afterwards(because he was killed in Iraq) but she was pregnant with his child. After two plus years of fighting and some recent obstuctionism from one single member of the House, a private bill was finally passed today in the House. It had been previously passed in the Senate and now it goes to President Obama for his signature. Hota will soon be able to raise her son Michael Ferschke Jr. in the country his father died for. This should have never have taken 2 years and four months to resolve.
