A faceless man looms out of the darkness. He moves with a fluid grace that Harm finds hard to watch. Without a glance Harm's way the man walks away down a street that Harm has not noticed before. As Harm looks around he sees others like the man. A fearsome loneliness wells up within him and he cries out to those around him but none of them react. Harm stands amidst the throng and is unheard, unseen, unknown.

"Why won't any of you speak?" he shouts but they continue on their way as if he did not exist at all. The weight of their disregard drags him down and he collapses, great chains at his wrists, drowning in a sea of anonymity.

This needs a serious rewrite. I'm leaving it up until I can fix it but if you haven't started reading it don't, wait until I've revamped it. I also need to find a new title.

Brushing my teeth with the tiniest toothbrush I had ever seen was one of the more amusing upsides of today, although perhaps morbidly so, considering I couldn't use a normal toothbrush anymore.

The End of the tunnel is in sight but that light they are seeing isn't sunshine.

Thing seem to be going well for Alyssa in spite of her recent upheaval. She has friends, family support, and nifty new abilities, though she can't always control them the way she wants to. Suzy and Joanie have a happy homecoming, Joanie’s tusch stops traffic. Joanie travels to Iowa, gives Eric an ultimatum, “Now get those clothes off, and you’d better be up for it.”
