about Roxanne

I started this story back in early 1991. I knew the family well since they were my neighbors. Ronnie was really the driving force for the protest and it continued till the day he graduated. He followed his sisters footsteps and went to law school as well. Having to deal with a great many of the social issues that the TG and TS community deal with every day, they both became great advocates, with first hand experience. The true story didn't end well for Ronnie, but I didn't know that till his elderly mom told me. That was shortly after they buried her husband.

The rain, the park, and other things

Well, Oklahoma is in the middle of a severe drought, we've had less rain for the year than we normally get just in March. Grass fires are a daily occurrence across the state. If we don't get a lot of rain soon, there will be no wheat or hay to harvest. People had better get ready to pay much more for food as well as gasoline. On the bright side, we here in Oklahoma do have the lowest gas prices in the country. :)

Skitt's Law / Muphry's Law

Just poking around the 'nets and I tripped over something I'd like to share. I've been waaaaay guilty of this myself, so I'm not posting it to shame anyone, just for the lulz (as the kids say). (Disclaimer: stolen wholesale from Wikipedia. No original content beyond this point. Formatting automagically screwed up by cut-n-paste. See the original in Wikipedia if you want to see the footnotes.)

Leadership by Angel O'Hare

Angel's current story "Leadership" has created quite a debate, earning it, at my last look 66 comments. Many of those comments are fairly long including 1 or 2 of mine.

The debate has been lively, with the take on the story ranging widely.

She has also allued to many P.M.s she received regarding this story including 1 or 2 of mine.

In my time reading this site, before I became active and during the year and two months since I have joined, it appears that 66 is the greatest number of comments to a story that I have seen.

I don't want anyone to get the idea that I don't want to see lots of comments after the recent blowups. We go along for months with lots of good comments then one of these brushfires breaks out and fo a while it seems people are afraid to comment.
