Leadership by Angel O'Hare

Angel's current story "Leadership" has created quite a debate, earning it, at my last look 66 comments. Many of those comments are fairly long including 1 or 2 of mine.

The debate has been lively, with the take on the story ranging widely.

She has also allued to many P.M.s she received regarding this story including 1 or 2 of mine.

In my time reading this site, before I became active and during the year and two months since I have joined, it appears that 66 is the greatest number of comments to a story that I have seen.

I wonder if it is a record for a story?
If so, by how many?
If not what is in first place?
If so what story and author follows up in the top few places?

There of course may be more comments made to general admin type statement made by Erin et al, but I am not counting those, unless perhaps generated by a controversy.

Perhaps someone has an answer.

Most importantly though, CONGRATULATIONS TO ANGEL FOR A GREAT STORY, THAT HAS READERS THINKING and COMMENTING.

What I find interesting

Frank's picture

Is the number of votes vs the number of comments. Seems comments will be more than the total votes when all is said and done with this story...another feat I think :)

But only one vote, but many comments.

RAMI

I guess the fact that several people, myself included probably have 2 or more comments while debating poor KT's future. One vote, but 3 comments makes for fewer votes.

Not to be self promoting

Okay, yes it really is self promoting, but it pertains to your questions. My story 'The Prodigal' has gotten 56 comments, all from readers. I have no idea what the record is though.

I cried for her.
I cried for me.
I cried for a world that wouldn’t let her be.

Angel, congratulations on initiating a very impresive and thought producing response from your readership.

Thank You Rami! This story has touched a few readers.

The comments left for this story has taught me a lot as well. I hope this leads to even better writing from me that you all can enjoy and even ponder about.
