When the team arrived at the school, SWAT and the local police were already there and set-up. They check in with the SWAT officer in charge. Striker finds out that the only communication they had from the kidnappers inside the school was their demands. They wanted members of a terrorist group release or they were going to start killing their hostage. Beginning with the congress members children.
All they knew so far, there were four men on the roof keeping watch. Maybe another two or three inside the school. They had no idea how many more were inside the school. The courtyard was too exposed. There was no way they could get closer without being seen. However, there was an area that Stacy could use to move from shadow to shadow without being seen.
Striker looks at Sergeant Riggs “I’ll get the information we need to breach the place safely.”
“I don’t see how you are going to do that, but good luck.” Sergeant Riggs wonder how he was going to accomplish that.
Striker walks over towards where his group was waiting. He looks towards Stacy and Jessie “I need recon on what we are facing inside. All the
Sergeant knows, is that there are four men on the roof keeping an eye out and another two or three inside guarding the children and staff.”
“Getting inside for myself is easy. There’s no way they will spot me.” Jessie checks her radio.
Stacy looks out at the school and back at Striker “the courtyard is to open and exposed. They will see me coming. Is there another area I can approach under darkness?”
“Right here. You can come in from the northeast corner. The only drawback is this area right here.” As Striker shows Stacy the aerial they had of the place. It’s at least three hundred feet and there’s no cover for you to use.
“Maybe I can help Stacy there. I can always cause a fog bank to roll in to give her some cover.” Jerry figures he could make the air around the school a little cloudy.
“That might be a little suspicious. I think I see a better solution.” Stacy was looking at the aerial and saw an opening that would conceal her entrance.
“This is the better route. It’s a little tricky, but I can use the woods behind the brick wall to come in.” Stacy was going to have to enter from the rear of the school. Which meant a good hike from their current position.
“Larka, go with Stacy and protect her.” Striker saw where Larka could set up and snipe the people on the roof.
“Alright, let’s move out and be careful.” Striker watches as Jessie shrinks and flies off.
Stacy and Larka move off as well.
Jerry looks towards Striker “do you think this is going to work out?”
“I hope so. We can’t afford any mistakes.” Striker turns his tablet on to see what Jessie, Stacy, and Larka saw.
Jessie flies towards the school. She flies up and over the brick wall towards the main building. She keeps low to the ground, so not to be spotted by the four guards she spotted up on the roof. She locates an exhaust pipe she could fly down as she zigzags past the guards on the roof. She does stop for Striker to get pictures of what they were carrying and armed with.
She drops down into the exhaust pipe and follows it down into a bathroom. Which luckily for her was the girl’s bathroom. She grows and peeks out of the bathroom to see if there were patrols in the hallway. She doesn’t spot anyone patrolling the hallway. So, she shrinks back down and starts flying up and down the corridors checking rooms and getting the layout of the place.
Larka and Stacy:
It takes Larka and Stacy some time to get to the location unseen by the guards up on the roof. They stuck to the shadows, where Stacy latterly blended in with the darkness. Larka, on the other hand, had to work a little harder to keep from being spotted as they tree hop and dashed across large expanses of an open field.
Larka catches up to Stacy ‘how do you manage to blend into the shadows?”
“Don’t know, I just do.” She has always been able to blend into the shadows without being spotted.
“Well, when you figure it out. Let me know so I can learn your trick.” Larka pulls his binoculars out and checks the guards on the roof and the
windows. He spots two windows with snipers in them.
Stacy stands nearby and watches as Larka does a search. She notices him looking at some windows near the left-hand corner of the building.
“What do you see?” Stacy couldn’t see anything in that area.
“Snipers nest in that left-hand corner, second floor. There’s another over in the right-hand corner as well.” Larka could take both out without any problems.
“So, I have to be careful going in.” Stacy spotted her entrance.
There was a downstairs office that she could enter without a problem. Getting to the back-brick wall was no problem but getting to the school sort of left her exposed. She was going to have to dash across a large space.
“You ready, little girl?” Larka looks at Stacy.
“As ready as I’m ever going to be.” Stacy leaves Larka and starts heading towards the brick wall.
She hops from one shadow to another shadow using them as cover. Once she was at the wall, she concentrates and walks through the wall.
The strange tingling sensation she gets when she passes through the bricks let her know how much further she must go before she reemerges on the other side.
When she reemerges on the other side, she takes a deep breath and runs like hell towards the building. She takes another deep breath and jumps through the school’s wall and emerges inside into what looks like the Dean’s office. She notices the dean had been shot in the head.
“Stacy to Striker, the dean has been shot.” Stacy tries to transmit but was getting static. “So much for that.” As she carefully moves out of the dean’s office.
Larka was listening to Stacy and watching on his wrist monitor as she entered the building, and then he lost her. He checks Jessie’s feed and he couldn’t get anything from her camera or radio either.
“Striker, we have a problem. The terrorist are using jammers. I’ve lost contact with Stacy and Jessie.”
“Roger that Larka.” Striker and Jerry were seeing static as well.
“Well, they are on their own.” Striker hated not knowing what was going on, but now they were going to have to wait to find out the details.
Jessie heard static coming through her earpiece. Which told her, there was a jammer up and running somewhere in the school. As she is flying, she spots two guards patrolling the hallway she flew down. As much as she wanted to shock them into unconsciousness, her orders were to scout and report.
Jessie makes a mental image of them and continues scouting. She finds several bodies that had been moved to an empty classroom. Some were students, and some were teachers. She continues her recon.
Stacy passes through the office door and out into the hallway. She checks one of the emergency doors and finds it rigged with explosives. She takes a map off the wall and goes about checking all the doors. They were all rigged with explosives with some sort of motion detector that she could see. She approached the device in her ghost form, so as not to set the explosives off.
She examines it as much as she could in her intangible form. Luckily, the motion detector that was part of it, didn't pick her up. The way it was attached to the door was by a chain, so if you yanked on it. It would cause the device to go off.
Stacy looks at her map and moves towards the gym and cafeteria. If she was going to move the children and staff to make it easier to watch them. That is where she would move them to.
Stacy avoids two guards that were patrolling the hallway by ducking inside an empty classroom in her phased formed. She waits for them to pass, before leaving the room. As she gets closer to the gym, she phases through the boy’s locker room and follows it out to where it exits out to the gym. She presses her ear to the door and didn’t hear anyone on the other side.
She phases and sticks her head out. She spots three guys in combat gear and carrying AK-74 rifles and bandolera of grenades. They were watching the students and a few teachers in the gym. She also spotted the jammers they were using.
Jessie spotted that there were three terrorist guarding students and facility in the cafeteria. Some of them looked to have been injured. She flies closer to get a better look. Most of the people she has been seeing were of Middle Eastern origin. She didn’t see any jammers among them.
Jessie flies out and heads for the gym, where she spots Stacy hiding in the shadows.
Stacy spots Jessie high up in the rafters and motions for her to come down. She watches as Jessie flies down towards her. Once she is close
enough to her “The jammers are over there. Do you think you can cause them to short out?”
Jessie looks over towards the jammer and nods her head yes. She takes off and flies over towards the jammers. As she gets closer, she builds up an electrical discharge in order to short them out. Since no one was watching her, she grabs the antennae base and sends an electrical charge into them. They short out as her comm unit comes back online.
Larka kept watching his wrist comm when he notices Stacy’s and Jessie’s comms come back online. He watches as Jessie shows what was around her and the jammers that she just fired.
Striker and Jerry watch as their monitors show the feed from Jessie’s and Stay’s comm unit. He could see that Jessie had fried the jammers.
“Stacy, where are you guys at?” Striker was trying to make out where she and Jessie were.
“Jessie and I are in the gym. Jessie just fried their jamming equipment.” Stacy watches as Jessie flies back to her.
When Jessie is close by, she grows some. Her comm unit worked better at full size.
“I’ve counted about twelve terrorists in the school. Four on the roof, two patrolling the hallways and six guarding the students and staff. That’s not counting the ones watching the back of the school and probably two more watching the front of the school. So, sixteen total.” Jessie was standing close to Stacy as they talked with Striker and Jerry.
“We need to take them out all at once.” Striker looks over towards Jerry.
“I could change the air inside to knock out gas, but I would need to get close enough to the school to do it.” Jerry knew he could put all of them asleep inside.
“That still leaves the bombs on the door. All the entrances and exits are booby-trapped with explosives. Anyone that tries to get close to them will set them off.” Stacy wasn’t a bomb expert.
“That’s no problem. Once we knock everyone out. I can enlarge a window or something and get people out and get a bomb expert in there.” Jerry figures he could make another exit for them to use.
“Couldn’t you phase the bomb, Stacy?” Larka was wondering if she could by-pass the motion detector.
“I need to touch it, in order to phase it.” Stacy didn’t want to take the chance.
“I could try and disarm it.” Jessie was thinking she could short the electronics out.
“Don’t worry about it. I can turn the door and bomb into jello.” Jerry figures he could change the door the explosives were mounted too into jello.
“Alright, give me and Jerry a few minutes to join Larka.” Striker grabs his weapons and head over towards Larka’s location.

Good Stuff, this is.
Now we get to practical use of what this team of heroes has that others don't have. Thanks for writing this story- and please keep writing it.
I thank you for your ability to create pictures with mere words.
