Try Something New Chap. 14

Marriott Hotel, Boston, Massachusetts:
“Man, what day is it?” Rustie stumbles out of the room and into the main suite area.

Her skin was lightly tanned, and her hair was all wild. She was sporting a new hairstyle, but it was all messed up from sleeping. The black teddy she was wearing showed off her curvy figure that had developed since she had been on hormones. Even her breasts had started coming in.

Rustie has been taking a new hormone shot over the past seven months, and she was at a C cup. According to her new measurements, her figure was 39-25-38 and she was currently wearing a 36C cup bra. She still runs every morning and has been doing yoga and some weight lifting in her routine. She noticed that her strength levels had gone down thanks to the estrogen.

“It’s Thursday, and we are leaving tomorrow for New Jersey. We’re playing at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.” Russell was just as tired as
Rustie. They have been on the road promoting their first album since April.

All of them, including Timmy, had graduated early and performed at their high school as they promised to do. Since then, after Rustie’s leg healed and she got used to having only one kidney. She went back on the road after getting counseling on her gender dysphoria. The doctor she was getting counseling from was very good and came highly recommended.

Jason comes stumbling out of his room, scratching his groin area. He looked so wasted that he had bags under his eyes.

“Man, you look like someone punched you.” Rustie walks over to the small kitchenette in their suite and fixes herself a cup of coffee. She needed some caffeine to wake up.

“I need to cut back on all the partying I’ve been doing. Are we still performing on Thanksgiving for Stephen Colbert?”

“Yes, and we have another television interview with Good Morning America as well.” Russell looks towards Jason when he says that.

“Where is Lou this morning?” Rustie noticed Lou’s bedroom door was open.

“He crashed at his new girlfriend’s place last night. Didn’t you notice how much they were carrying on before and after our performance?” Russell
saw how much Lou and the new girl he was dating carried on last night after their performance.

“You mean that hot-looking, dirty blonde-haired woman? She’s old enough to be his older sister.” Jason spotted the woman last night.

“Yeah, her. She had the hots for Lou since we entered the stadium. I don’t know where she got a backstage pass, but she hung out all night with him.” Russell walks over to the kitchenette and fixes himself a coffee as well, but adds some real Irish Cream to it.

“I'd better inform my mother I won’t be home for Thanksgiving.” Rustie was hoping she and the band could go home.

“When you call her, tell your mom that you will be home the week that Christmas falls on, until after New Year's.” Timmy comes out of his bedroom partially dressed.

“Oh? How come?” Rustie was curious.

“Because the record company we work for is having us tour the Midwest, the West Coast, and Hawaii after New Year's. They want to get as much money out of us as possible.” Timmy has taken over some of the management duties while they have been touring, since their main manager was busy with two other bands.

“I wonder if they are going to have us do a world tour next?” Jason sips his drink.

“Not that I’m aware of, but there has been talk about sending us to Japan and Sydney, Australia, next year as well. Maybe down to Brazil, too.”

“Man, it sounds like we're going to be busy.” Rustie wonders how she was going to keep up with her counseling sessions while they were down there.

“Well, you do have a popular first album with three chart-hitting songs on it. Your second album is already done, but is on hold, and your third album is halfway done. You guys have been busting your asses making a name for yourself.”

“That’s because Black Label Productions has been screwing us over. I’m just happy my mother managed to get us the rights back to all our work and our masters now. The labeling company didn’t like what my mother’s law firm found out about them.” Rustie had complained to her mother, and the next thing she knew. Her mother’s law firm went after the record company.

“I’m just glad your mother stepped in to get better services and money for us.” Russell was happy with the results.

“Me too.” Rustie finishes her coffee and goes back to her bedroom and changes out of her night clothes, and puts on her exercise clothes.

“Hey guys, I’m going down to the gym to work out. Does anyone want to come with me?”

“Do you have to ask that question, Rustie?” All the guys look at her with sleep still in their eyes.

“I forgot, you guys don’t start moving or doing anything until around noon time.” A smirk appears on Rustie’s face as she walks out of the suite and goes down to the gym to start working out.

Rustie goes down to the gym and starts working out. It took her a while to get back into shape after what happened to her. She was a little jumpy when she started running again. It took her to relax again whenever she ran, but she did keep a cautious awareness around her of everything going on and who was around her.

Rustie is joined by several other people in the gym, and a guy who was on vacation helped spot her when she went to lift weights. He was taking time out of his busy schedule to enjoy life, instead of being stuck in the office all the time. She finds out that his name is Leo and that he was in banking. He did business loans for small businesses.

Lately, he has been working a lot of long hours and was feeling brunt out from it. So, the bank manager he worked for told him to take two weeks off to recover. Rustie just listened as they talked and had lunch together.

Leo finds the woman he met while exercising interesting. He spotted her getting ready to lift some weights and went over and volunteered to spot her. He noticed how cute she looked wearing an exercise outfit that looked like it belonged in the eighties.

While they exercised together, he learned her name was Rustie, which he thought was weird for a girl, but it sort of matched her because of her hair color and the light freckles on her face. He was impressed to learn she was a musician and was currently on tour.

After he and Rustie finish their workout, they grab a light lunch and eat outside. There was a cold breeze, but both of them were still warm after working out. They talked for a while, and afterwards, he walked her back to the floor she was on.

When he asked where she was playing, she told him and said she would leave some tickets and back backstage pass for him at the entrance. He watches her walk away from him, loving how her hips move, like she was walking a runway.

Rustie had a smile on her face when she returned to the suite where she and the guys were staying. She makes a phone call to have tickets and a backstage pass waiting for Leo if he decides to show.

Rustie takes a shower and freshens up. She puts on some leggings with an oversized shirt. Since she wasn’t going anywhere, she didn’t feel like putting on a lot of makeup, so she put on the bare minimum. It wasn’t like she needed to wear a lot to look nice. Sometimes the minimum was just as effective as a lot.

Rustie starts packing everything she won’t need for tonight. She needed to go to the laundry mat and do some laundry. At the next hotel they stay at, she was going to do a bunch of laundry. Her performing outfits she would take them to the cleaners to be taken care of.

Rustie checks the suite to see who is still around and to locate Jason. The two of them start working on some new songs for the third album. She notices that Jason sneaks peeks at her while they are working.

“What, Jason?” Rustie looks at him.

“I’m just amazed at how much you have changed these past six months. You’re becoming more girlish and daring than before. What changed?”

“I don’t know. I guess I finally realize that I was holding myself back from fully embracing the feminine side of myself.” Rustie had finally decided to let go and become how she should have been raised.

Even thou her parents let her be herself, there was still a lot that they did that was mostly for the way you raised a boy that they did, instead of how you raised a girl. Things that every girl experienced, learned from her mother and other girls, she never learned. She read somewhere that girls learn from other girls, but she never did. She never had girls that she hung with or joined with and learn their secrets. She had to learn that on her own now.

Most girls knew what they wanted to do or had their style by the time they were their age. She never did, because she straddled the line separating the genders. However, she was more into the male gender and only had a toe in the female gender culture.

Now she was making up for all those years of just being in the wrong gender. She was learning to become more of a woman.

“Well, whatever you are doing, I’m liking it.” Jason liked the fact that his friend was becoming more of a woman than before.
