Never Wanted To Be A Girl Chp.11

Printer-friendly version

Raven was on her way to work when she spots a car with the hood up and a young woman with long auburn hair standing in front of it. She pulls up behind the car and gets out and walks towards the young woman.

“Car trouble?” Raven was watching the woman.

Clair knew she should have the water pump taken care of, but she has been too busy at the Library covering people’s shifts. She hasn’t had the time to take the car by a mechanic to get fixed. Now, here she was stuck on the side of the road. She spots a small dark green pickup truck pull behind her car.

This was all she needed was some guy treating her like she was an airhead. Most of the guys in town knew she was a lesbian. When she noticed it was a woman with Hispanic features walking towards her, she was surprised.

“Yes, I think my water pump decided to finally break.” Clair looks at the Hispanic woman.

She was wearing a black t-shirt that had Union 44 Auto Repair over her left breast. The shirt showed off her ample chest and the blue jeans she had on showed off her tiny waist and hugged her hips giving her a nice hourglass figure. Her shoulder length black hair was tied back into a ponytail. Clair had to admit she looked cute.

Raven noticed that the woman she stopped to help was wearing a beige sleeveless dress that hugged her body. She wasn’t as curvy as she was, but she had a nice figure. The dress stopped about midthigh. On her feet, she was wearing a pair of two-inch black heels. The earrings in her ears were tiny silver stars hanging down. She had a nice silver necklace that hung down. Her make-up was tasteful and enhanced her looks.

“Here, let me take a look at it.” Raven walks around towards the front of the car and looked inside.

She spotted the broken drive belt. She pulls a rag out of her back pocket tries to turn the water pump, but it was locked up. She could see that the lower hose coming off the water pump needed to be replaced. It had a split in it.

Clair was watching the Hispanic woman as she was bent over the front of the car. The way her jeans hugged her ass, showed how firm and developed they were. The light scent of the perfume coming off the woman smelled like jasmine. She could tell from the panty outline showing through her jeans, she was wearing hip huggers.

Clair wouldn’t mind squeezing her ass, to see if the firmness she saw was as it seemed. She noticed that the woman seemed to know what she doing.

“Your guess was right. Your water pump is locked up and your lower radiator hose needs to be replaced, it’s starting to split.” Raven looks at
Clair’s face when she spoke. She notices that she had gray eyes.

“Damn and I’m already late for work.” Clair had already called the library she worked at letting her boss know she had broken down.

“Well, if you like. I could call the shop I work at and have them come and get your car. I could give you a lift to work.” Raven could give her a ride to work.

Clair looks at Raven “thank you. How much do you think the repairs will run me?”

“About two hundred for everything. Your water pump is easy to get too and we have the hose and belt in stock. Since you're getting your car
repair at the shop. The tow is included in the work.” Raven knew Jordan always gave customers a break when they have their cars repaired at his shop.

“Well, since you were nice enough to stop and help me. I wouldn’t mind a lift to work. I’m Clair Puscat by the way. I work down at the main library.” Clair smiles at Raven.

“I’m Raven Mondragon. I’m a mechanic down at Union 44 Auto Repair.” Raven returns the smile.

“I didn’t know Jordan hired a female mechanic.” Clair grabs her lunch bag and purse.

“I haven’t been there long, but he likes my work. He is a nice person.” Raven closes the hood on the car and sends a text to Jason down at the garage that she had a tow for him. She sends a picture of the car and where it was.

Clair stood and watched Raven “he has always been a nice person. I went to school with his daughter.”

That caught Raven’s attention. She didn’t know Jordan had a daughter. She looks at Clair “can you leave the key to your car on the floor underneath the driver seat, please?”

“Sure.” Clair leaves the key underneath the driver seat.

She follows Raven to her truck and climbs in. She notices a wicker basket with a wrapped bundle on the seat. She could smell blueberries coming from it.

“You bake?” Clair fastened her seat belt.

“Yes, I make muffins and such for the guys and customers at work.” Raven starts the truck up and heads down the road.

“So, you’re a librarian?” Raven glances towards Clair.

“Yep, its what I wanted to be since I was little. How about you? Have you always wanted to be a mechanic?” Clair looks at Raven watching her face.

“I never knew what I wanted to do. However, it seems I have a knack for working on cars.” Raven glances at Clair and noticed her looking back at her.

“You’re lucky. The women in my family weren’t allowed to do anything to their cars. My father and grandfather believed that working on cars or any sort of manual labor job was a man’s job. They believe that women were too delicate for anything else.” Clair remembers getting into fights with her father and brothers when she wanted to help.

“My family was different. You did what you had to do, no matter the type of work. They are also strict Catholic as well.” Raven knew that was the reason her parents wouldn’t accept her.

They felt that she brought what she was upon herself. She should try to undo what was done to her. What they didn’t know, it isn’t as easy as they think it is to change back. Even if she wanted too, she would still look like a girl. The estrogen they give her basically changed her body permanently.

“Are you Catholic?” Clair was curious.

“No, I’m more Methodist. I didn’t use to be religious and I’m still not really. However, the church I have been attending has a nice Preacher and he doesn’t talk down to you like most preachers do. He also teaches that we should respect everyone’s choices. I think that is important.”
Raven liked the church Mrs. Mercer has been taking her too.

“I never bother with church. I guess I haven’t found the right one for me.” Clair did attend a church once, while in college when she discovered she liked girls, instead of boys.

“I’m not heavily religious, but I do enjoy and like the people I have met at church.” She spots the library and pulls into the parking lot.

“Here let me give you my number and you can call me and let me know when the car is done.” Clair writes her number down on a business card she had.

Before she hands the card to Raven “how about you let me take you out for lunch for stopping to help me.”

“You don’t need to do that.” As she accepts the card.

“I know. It’s my way of saying thank you. So, what time do you normally take lunch?”

“Around two. I bring your car to you.” Raven figures she’ll have the car done in about an hour or so.

“Okay, sounds like a date then.” Clair smiles at Raven as she hops out of the truck.

Clair waves at Raven as she heads into the library. She watches Raven as she drives off. She wonders which way Raven leans as she walks into the library.

Raven waves back and before heading to work. She couldn’t get over how gray Clair’s eyes were. She arrives to work ten minutes later. She grabs her basket of muffins and head inside.

“Morning Jerry.” Raven walks over towards the coffee pot and places the basket on the table.

“Morning. You know you’re a little late this morning.” Jerry knew Raven was always at the shop before him.

“I stopped to help a young lady broken down on the side of the road. Hopefully, Jason will have her car here soon, so I can get started on it.” Raven walks over to the counter.

“Here you go.” Jerry hands Raven a work order to fill out.

Raven fills the work order out and assigns herself as the mechanic working on it. She looks everything up and put the prices in. She already knew how long with was going to take her.

“Here you go, Jerry.” Raven hands the work order to Jerry to double check.

Jerry looks over the work order and saw it was Clair Puscat. He looks up at Raven and back down at the work order. He doesn’t think she knows that Clair is a lesbian. That is what his sister said she was. His sister worked with Clair down at the library.

“Well, I’m heading to the garage.” Raven fills her coffee cup and heads out to work on Clair’s car.

I think this section introduces Claire -- I don't recall her from before. Claire is lesbian. Raven probably has her own formerly-male orientation. Will the thumping hearts begin? But then, when Claire finds out about Raven's original male body, we'll have the broken hearts. Will hearts ever reunite?

Claire knew Jordan's daughter, growing up here. Carol, the lawyer tasked with investigating Raven's prison? (Hope I didn't misremember.) Will we get a connection here? Or does this lead to Claire discovering Raven's history?
