My only comment here is that if such a company put out an ad, they'd most likely put all the disclaimers and caveats at the bottom in little tiny letters rather than disperse them throughout the ad. After all, the ad copy needs to be all positive, lolly pops and sunshine if you want to sell a product or service.

No who in the story at all; only what. No characters about whom to care. This almost looks like the prologue to something much more involved and personal. Perhaps a followup where you show us someone who takes advantage of the service?
