After an unhappy childhood, Billy Franklin is on the verge of finding a new life but storm clouds are gathering on the political horizon
and something else is stirring underground!
Apologies to anyone waiting for the next installment of 'A Summer of Changes'. Unforseen circumstances have kept me away from my study and word processor. I hope to post the next chapter in about one week from now.
The original and 'printer friendly' versions of my story 'A summer of changes' appear to be alright but the main text of the PDF version is always centred rather than left-aligned (or, ideally, right- justified). Is there something that I am doing wrong?
Jane didn't want her colleague, Denis, to be left out of her 'hen night' celebration for her forthcoming wedding, even though it was due to be held at a 'women only' venue. She later discovered that he would be able to do her a great favour and take a more active role in the ceremony. Denis goes on to find that there are new opportunities and friendships as Denise and a whole new way of life for the summer. Over the next few weeks Denise comes to terms with a new job, some new accommodation and also meets her family. She must decide whether to start dating, and discover the joys and difficulties of being a girl before setting out on a perilous journey to full-time womanhood.
The story is set during the summer of 2004, principally in the Shepherd's Bush area of London, but also includes visits to Birmingham, Norwich, Brighton and Bath.
One of his colleagues did not want to exclude him from her 'Hen Night', but now Denis finds that there is more to being a girl than he had previously imagined
Denis was both the youngest in his office and the only male. When one of his colleagues is arranging her hen night, she does not wish to leave him out of the celebrations
