Imagine you are shopping and suddenly you’re accused of shoplifting. What would you do? Charles Thorton found himself in this exact situation, while he was at a department store shopping for a necklace for his mother’s 35th birthday. Little did Charles know who he would end up facing after it was decided by the judge he shouldn’t go to juvenile hall.

Kyle Fisher, a thirteen-year-old boy, is on his way home from school when he is kidnapped by two mem in a white van, as he reaches the van. Three months later Dr. Stephen Thomas Thompson is on his way home after his shift ends at 2 a.m. at Mercy City Hospital. As he steers his car around a curve, the bright lights of his car illuminate a object lying on the shoulder of the road. Stopping to investigate, Stephen discovers the naked body of a boy 12-14 years old. Stephen also discovers that the boy is still alive, a boy who will be instrumental in helping to bring down a large State wide pedophile ring.

It DOES NOT contain any mention concerning what occurs within the houses mentioned in the story, only about the help Kyle Fisher receives after he is found and the undying of his mother.

Jack Winslow, for all intense and purposes, appeared to be a normal ten-year-old boy to all the adults who saw him outside his family. He didn’t mind playing sports, when the other boys let him.
