An almost daily dose of dormouse

Once upon a time...
I said I'd like to read this series but I don't think I'd ever get caught up. There's nearly a hundred episodes! Sigh...
But luckily (not to wax too lovingly effusive here, we do want her head to fit in her helmet...)
there's plenty that Angharad contributes to this little online community besides Bike :)

What they didn't tell you about yesterday.
I'd been invited by Persephone to lunch to celebrate 10 years of Bike and getting there proved to be a real trauma--the traffic was horrendous, every idiot with a car that could pull a caravan was out and clogging up the roads and it being a Sunday, all the Sunday drivers were out too, and mostly in front of me. I'd left early to have loads of time to get to the venue, except I somehow got flustered in the traffic and set off on the wrong road. By now I was actually late and later still by the time I finally arrived, embarrassed and bothered. Then in the pub/restaurant I couldn't find Persephone, as I expected a single diner when a waitress solved my problem and took me to the place where six of them were seated and dining. I was lost for words, and for me that is a rare condition.
I received hugs and gifts which surprised me, several of which were dormouse themed but the greatest gift they gave me was to give me their valuable time, two had travelled some distance - Mads and Podracer - which meant a lot to me. Material things are very nice to receive, but the greatest gift we can bestow on anyone is our friendship and affection, yesterday I had that in spades, including comments and personal messages from those unable to come to our meal. To all of you, I say a very humble thanks.
