“I can’t believe you are keeping that supped up 4x4.” Joe couldn’t believe that when they arrived back at the airfield in Georgia. Katlain was taking the 4x4 pickup back to Augusta and adding it to her collection.
“Hey, if the previous owner wasn’t such a dirtbag and a white supremacist, he would still be free and have his precious truck. But he fucked up and must pay the price for his fuckup.” Katlain knew it was wrong to take the truck, but she felt it deserved a better owner.
Besides all the government would do is confiscate the truck and sell it at auction. At least she could give it a home and a better paint job. Besides, there are probably a few mistakes the jackass fucked up putting it together she’ll have to fix on it.
“I thought you were a police officer, Katlain?” Joe was following behind Katlian as they drove home after packing up everything.
“I am, but I’m still a car thief at heart.” A smirk appears on Katlain’s face as she leads the way back home.
She couldn’t wait to see her little girl. Katlain hated it when she had to spend days or sometimes weeks away from her little girl. Luckily, she had friends who loved her little girl as much as she did.
The drive back to Augusta, Georgia was boring. Katlain and Joe spoke back and forth over their cell phones wondering what the next assignment their boss was going to give the two of them. Lately, Georgia has become a hotbed of criminal activity, and a special unit had to be formed to handle it. The other members of their unit were specialists who came from various departments and precincts within Georgia’s police department.
Everyone in the special unit knew her ties to the underworld and what she had done in the past. They also knew she supported the LGBTQ+ community as well. Normally, when there was a problem that arose within that community they put her and her partner on it.
Katlain drops the 4x4 she came home in off at one of her garages to be looked over and repainted. Once that was done, she drove over to Faith’s place and picked up her little girl. She also picks up some roast beef sandwiches from Arby’s on the way home. She had a craving for them.
When Katlain pulled into the driveway at her house, she noticed her husband was home. A smile appears on her face as she carries everything to the house.
“Honey, I’m home!” Katlain looks around but doesn’t spot her husband.
She checked her bedroom to see if he was going to surprise her. She nearly drops Katherine when she spots her husband’s bloody body in the shower lying on the floor. She dials 911 and has them send the police and paramedics to her residence.
Katlain also dials her cousin to see if she can stay with them. She didn’t want to endanger her daughter. She takes a few photos of her husband’s dead body. She doesn’t touch anything or go into the bathroom. From what she could tell just from looking at the crime scene, someone shot her husband through the shower curtain.
There were no bloody footsteps in the bathroom. She looks around the house to see where or how the intruder came into the house. The door from the garage was unlocked and the garage door was down. She checks the back sliding doors and all the windows. The front door had a ring door alarm on it, so that would have caught whoever came in to kill her husband. This was a hit pure and simple.
