We were just informed by Enemyoffun's brother in Discord that Enemyoffun's appendix had burst and he is in the ICU. That is all we know of at the moment. Please pray for him.
Edit: He is possibly out of surgery. Still awaiting an update from his brother.
Looks like Matthew aka "Enemy" will be spending some time there over Christmas. I'll see about the gift shop tomorrow to send him a stuffed animal. BCTS doesn't forget its authors. :)

As serious as this can be, it is usually a pretty easy fix, compared to many. Rotten time of the year for it. He's looking pasts New Year's before he will feel at least semi-human again. It is no fun when they have to cut that muscle sheaf in the belly.

On one really bad day, Sandy and I had to walk around together for a coupla hours.
And "burst appendix"/ICU certainly counts as a Really Bad Day.

We dodged the bullet several years ago when my wife had a heart attack. Fortunately she was able to come home for Thanksgiving and later had a successful bypass operation.

EoF's brother was just on the Discord channel and said that EoF is doing okay now. He's in a lot of pain, but should be home in a few days. He'll update us more when there's more news to share.

The problem with a burst appendix is the risk of peritonitis but if that doesn't happen it's pretty straightforward and recovery is usually days. Anyway, get well soon.
