The theme for this year's All Hallow's Eve contest is to come up with a scary story as unique as you can make it! The story can include any literary device, any length, even multi-chaptered. The main character has to be lgbtq, but other than that requirement, the rest is up to you.
Stories must be brand new and never posted anywhere else on the Internet or published already elsewhere. Multiple submissions are allowed with only the submission with the most votes of any author's total submissions to claim a prize.

Entry submission dates are from Tuesday October 1, 2024 - Thursday October 24, 2024 at 11:59 pm PST. Plenty of time is being allowed this year so that our authors can put out some really great submissions. Voting will occur from Friday October 25th 2024 - Wednesday October 30, 2024. The winner's Announcement will go up Thursday October 31, 2024.
The Prizes for the contest currently stand at 1 x $100, 2 x $75, and 3 x $50! They might go up depending on donations :) Please remember to label your submissions on the ++Fiction page under the heading box of Contests and properly select 2024 October BigCloset All Hallows Eve Story Contest on your Submission(s).

As foreseen

The stories are dropping in.
A personal observation. Weren't the stories supposed to be scary rather than cute? ;)

Intentions

My story had its basis in witch hunting in Norway hundreds of years ago. While the ending would have been redemptive, getting there in the present would not have been without peril. I hope to eventually finish the story,

For me, it's always nice to be challenged to grow and change as a writer. Thank you!
