One of these days, I'm going to get used to being seen as a woman. But, today, it still gave me a little thrill when I got referred to by a complete stranger as "she" even though I was in a pretty shapeless coat, pants, and hadn't shaved.

In time you will realize, its
In time you will realize, its because you are of the female sex , thats why others see you as a girl ,you silly goose,, obvious as hell to me
Get used to it Dorothy...
You can't hide your true self. You are a "she" a "her" a "Miss or Ms". But above all you are what you are and people will see it!
It's a fine holiday gift.

We are each exactly as God made us. God does not make mistakes!
Gender rights are the new civil rights!
I sorta hate to disagree with
I sorta hate to disagree with the others, but I transitioned to full time officially in September of 2006. That was about 6 years ago, and I am still not blase' at being gendered as a woman each and every day. I have had an easier task to just be one with the GRS, and it seems like I have always been in the correct body. I love it after waiting for so long, and I can't take the recognition for granted, at least not yet. Maybe in 20 years or so? Maybe? ;).

I hope you always get that
I hope you always get that little thrill.
From the once nice MSN Group of Transgender
One of the participants once described the ultimate proof of acceptance as Woman. She was member of a company board and had lanced a new idea, but her idea was not accepted more like ignored. At the next (or was it over-next, I do not remember which any more) the same idea was proposed by a male mamber of the board. It was accepted wihout any discussions. And our sister took this as the ultimate confirmation of her womanhood.

That's so ridiculously true it's almost funny. Well it made me laugh in a wry sorta way.

Yep,
that sounds about right. Experience is a wonderful thing if you survive it.

But Dottie!
You ARE a woman!
That aside... I do understand the feeling.
Though I think I have to disagree with one of the above posters and admit that I hope it does go away someday... IMO, That will be when I've truly made it. When I no longer need any external validation.
