I have reposted most of the older Christmas Entries already and some problems did result from it and the Christmas Retros :( I am sure you all have heard.
This is my last contest for the site. I want to thank all of our authors who have participated in entering. Sadly, time and the site won't allow me for more. I had a blast. I hope all of our readers did too. I pray someone will take up the mantle to relive the fun I tried to create.

It's too early to despair
The Christmas contest had only been open a couple of weeks with many more to go. Serious contenders take time to write good stories.
As for the Hallow's eve contest it's not open for entries yet so I'm not surprised that the count is zero.
The September contest is brand new.
So, don't worry. There will be stories.

Focus
At the moment all focus is towards editing the next book to get it done by end of year. Should that finish sooner, maybe I'll divert attention to a contest entry - unless the muse insists on a monopoly in kicking off efforts towards the final book in the saga. Never know, though!
Progress is moving right along on this one, especially with the wonderful help (Thanks Kimmie!!). :)

BC is in an extended serial phase. I prefer solo stories because so many serials go unfinished. Your contest is helping generate solos.

These days I hold off till I'm done before starting to put up a serial. The Chosen runs to 17 chapters and with maybe a few double postings will be done by Christmas. Next one due later today (8/11) when I have a spare moment.

I'm still editing it. It's pending on BC. But, I like to do several edit passes several days apart before posting any works.(Ignore the fact that I conceived it around 4:30 PM and finished writing it in two hours. And it is nothing like the vague idea I thought I would submit that I still haven't written.)

How to get a contest entry ready in time
Get the basic idea some eight years in advance. Start writing the story about two years before the dead-line. Post with a three-month margin.
