Deep Breath

“Croydon.” I noted as we approached the next in a seemingly endless stream of junctions.

“Half an hour to home,” Manda sighed.

“I was about your age when I Twisted,” he said. “And it was a mental Twist, like yours... it was a couple of days after the Twist that I realized what my new obsessions and compulsions were. It was the day I went back to school, and I found myself looking at the girls and thinking about what I’d like to do to them... And I was horrified at what I was thinking, but couldn’t stop. I pretended I was sick and insisted on the school nurse calling Dad rather than Mom. And then I asked Dad to take me home and lock me up, and he did.

Tripping

Whilst everyone had been through the day's testing, not everyone would be going to Italy so Friday morning saw the departure of David, John and Steve leaving just nine of us for the day's activities, a two hour bash around the Pennine foothills. I felt bad for David and Steve, they've been giving their all but I guess we've been building towards this point since we arrived.

Alexia, Johnathyn and Dierdra continue towards Glory, picking up allies as they go. The conspiracy continues to develop but a traitor appears. Both Johnathyn and Alexia have misgivings as to the direction the revolt against the Queen is taking and the decide that they may have to go their own way. Chapter 79

Faye had a beer open and sitting on the table. Bobbie had looked at him crossways for that.

“What?” He asked, taking a swig.

“He had a problem.”

“So did you, don’t get all high and mighty now.”

Bobbie rolled her eyes. “I’m not. I just…”

“Fuck. Sorry, Faye.”

The vibrating phone threatened to resurrect the erection that had been running off and on all day. Being aroused all the time was one thing if your state wasn’t telegraphed so easily.

Deep Breath

“Bit full of himself.” Mand stated as we headed towards the bus.

“A right jerk,” I agreed, “he thought I was a girl!”

“As if,” Claire noted. “At least they had some decent gloves.”

“Pity that Telekom jersey was so big,” Laura lamented.

“They're a good laugh.”

“Who?” Sal queried.

“The Telekom lads.”

Alex/Alexia continues her journey towards the city of Glory, picking up a mentor along the way and learning more about her new world as her powers develop. She faces several dangers while discovering the inequities that exist for women. I tried to elicit clues that would help me figure out what he was thinking and feeling about me, without leading him on in a way that would mess up what I had — or might have — with Rob. It didn’t work; by the end of the meal I had no more idea than before what Vic felt about me, and had only succeeding in confusing myself about my own feelings.
