Redress - The Novel
Redress – Prologue
to put right a wrong or give payment for a wrong that has been done to them.
Stories of revenge are not as common in Crime Fiction as many would think. The bog-standard fare of Criminal commits a crime and the cops solve it and bring the bag guys to court are where it is at be it Sherlock, Rumpole, Taggart or {insert TV/Film name here}
This story is told from the point of view of one of the victims.
For many readers, this will not be an easy read. The crimes that were committed before this tale starts are not for the faint-hearted as it involves Child Trafficking, Paedophilia, rape, sodomy and sexual exploitation of children and corruption in society at the highest level. None of these crimes are described any detail in the text. Most of them happened before the story begins.
IT IS A WORK OF FICTION and a product of my mind. Any resemblance to anyone living or dead is purely coincidental.
It has a total of 46 Chapters (and over 180,000 words) spread over 5 Books. I will post each book in its entirety before posting a one or more different stories.
The first part will be posted on 18th Oct 2024.
The tale is split into five ‘books’.
I will post each of the parts of each book, and then at least one other story before the next book.
Please take time to comment on this work.

I'm afraid
that the first thought I had when I saw the title says more about me than your stories: Redress - going back to dressing.
My second thought after reading the prologue is that is was rather Churchillian:
I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat. We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind.
Hurrah!
I've been searching for good things to read lately. Now I have 46 new chapters to look forward to.
Wowee!
Samantha,
Really looking forward to your magnum opus appearing here on BCTS. With your aptitude for twists and turns within complex stories this promises to be a real humdinger. I can only draw the attention of your reader to your lengthy and complex political thriller set in the USA (Quest for Justice?) as an example of your ability to create a tale that holds your reader in thrall and desperate for the publication of the ensuing parts.

Nothing like building someone up...
only for them to fall flat on their face.
I hope that this story finds a niche here. It is (IMHO) quite different from the normal fare of this site.
Now for the good news... My muse seems to have stirred. I won't say woken up but... (one can hope)
Samantha
Happy to hear .....
..that your Muse may be stirring Samantha! As for the likelihood of you falling flat on your face with your writing, the chances are slim to none IMHO after reading so much of your writing. Yes, I admit that I am a great fan of yours but I read widely so I don't believe that I'm biased - LOL.
