I've been through more kinds of hell just in my childhood years than many people see in their whole lifetimes.
The exceptions would be people who've been through crap similar to what I have, armed forces folks, and emergency personnel.
It doesn't hurt me to offer other people a helping hand. Hell, I wouldn't be happy with myself if I didn't make the offer.
As for whether I have courage, I don't think so, but I do have a lot of experience in dealing with nasty kinds of shit.
Edit to add: I apologize for the language, that's just me being blunt as I often am.

You take the time to find something nice to say to everyone. You contribute immensely to Big Closet. You are an important person here.
This is what I do to make myself feel like I accomplished something each day. I take a piece of paper and make a long list of what I do every day. I throw in a few things that I ought to do on the list, too. Then every time I do something, I check it off. It makes me feel like I accomplished something. It makes me feel special. And that's all that counts.
