Just wanted to pass along some frustration - about frustration in passing.
What follows is a song parody. It should be sung to the tune of "Bad Moon Rising" by Creedence Clearwater Revival.
I see a bad moon a-risin'
I see me being read today
Image, in mirror is so frightenin'
Foam pads no help, so I say
"I won't go out tonight
For it's bound to risk my life,
My bare bum's, a bad moon on the rise."
For 12 months, I've had those hormones flowin'
I hoped my end'd be growin' soon
But I'm still thin hipped so I'm knowin'
Wearing a bikini would mean ruin
When winds blow tonight
And my skirt shoots up, the sight
Will be, a bad moon on the rise.
Hope your experience is different
When the transition you do try
Looks like I'm due for nasty comments
One look, they'll know I was a guy
I won't bend over tight
Or they'll see the sorry blight
Of my bad moon on the rise.
THE END
Written with tongue in cheek, and meant to be taken that way.
Thanks to Andrea DiMaggio for encouraging me to post this!
You know the drill - please comment or risk a nose tweak!
Thanks for reading! Hugz - **Sigh**

cute
may all your moons be full ones
Ah, therein lies the problem
As the song implies, a less than full moon is badder than a full one!

I remember the CCR hit so
I remember the CCR hit so well, but wouldn't call yours a bad moon lmao thanx for the memory jog
"I ain't feelin' too PROUD, said MARY.
"Every time I see the shape of those girls BORN ON THE BAYOU of cis-gender, my envy is greener than the GREEN RIVER. Take SUZY-Q over there, walking UP AROUND THE BEND to go DOWN ON THE CORNER of the street. HAVE YOU EVER SEEN THE RAIN of disapproval that I deal with ever fall on her? I tell you, she's FORTUNATE, SON! So WHO'LL STOP THE RAIN from falling on me? I'll just stay inside at home, LOOKING OUT MY BACK DOOR; as LONG AS I CAN SEE THE LIGHT of day, I won't venture out again."
Only a die-hard CCR fan recognizes all of 'em!

retro vs ancient
I remember when my teens first started discovering my music. I asked them why they would not listen to it with me and was told that I was "old" and listened to "ancient" music. But their music like AC/DC, Zeppelin, and CCR was "retro" so it was good.
There are times that it is easier to just smile and let them win, because teens do not live in the land of rationality.
Bright Blessings,
Cassie Ellen
Ooh, a new music genre!
Trans-Filk!
*grins*
Catchy song!
HMMMmmmmm...
Did you mean Trans-Folk?
Or Trans-Filth?
If the latter, then thou hast besmirched my honor, and I hereby challenge thee to a duel! Walk ten paces, turn and fire!
*BANG* Hey, no fair! You're so small, and you won't stop flying around! *BANG* Now you're flying towards me?? Stay awa- AAAH! GET OUT OF MY EAR!!! OKAY OKAY YOU WIN!!
*SHEESH*… faeries. Mumblefrumblegrumble….

Filk is a very honrable and old tradtion.
Although the term is relativity modern.
For you and those who have not heard the term before:
The word Filk comes from combining Folk and Flich, take a folk song (or pop tune) filch(steal/borrow) the tune and make up your own words, it can be a parody or something totally different and wallah you have a Filk Song.
Filks are popular in SciFi Fantasy and Anachronistic fan circles, also newer(relatively speaking) folk songs have been doing that for ages with older folk(relatively speaking) tunes.

¹(Note: One side effect of pixie dust is to make people like pixies, it's the pheromone content)
Egads, you're right!
And I thought it was a typo! But no, I googled it and found many websites and explanations!
Thanx for setting me straight and expanding my horizons! A big giant pixie stick for you!
Don't read anything into that, you Freudians. Sheesh!

Are We Martians?
To have two moons on the rise? I'm sure the orbs to which you refer are much preferable to Phobos and Deimos (although they are definitely bad moons by name).
I still rate Credence as one of my favourite bands,
Joanne
Nope, not Martian. Visited Mars, though ...
… when I flew with Captain Kirk, Spock, McCoy, and Scotty on the starship Enterprise. Our secret mission code was called OPERATION TOILET TISSUE.
'Cause we circled Uranus looking for Cling-ons. *snerk*

very nice
Re-wording songs is one of my favorite past times. Though, I almost never save the results, and I'm glad that you did.
There are still times I look in the mirrow and ask myself, "Is that girl me? and am I crazy going out in this dress?" Of course, that is usually followed by nervous giggles, and clopping onward.
You did a great job at capturing that feeling.
Bright Blessings,
Cassie Ellen
You're clopping, and I'm clapping
Way to go, girl! Take nervousness by the horns and ride it until it collapses in a heap! (Or for 8 seconds, whichever comes first).
Thanks for the sweet sweet comment, too!
