Well, tomorrow is my birthday, and I'll be an ancient 46 years old. I missed being a Canada day baby by a couple of hours, apparently, but ah, well.
I doubt very much that when my mom carried home this tiny baby boy she ever dreamed that 45 years later she'd be shoe shopping for Mary Jane flats with him ...
Her acceptance of me is one of the blessings in my life, but I have a lot of those, and I'm trying to remember to be more grateful for them. You never know when one of them may go away, after all.

I, on the other hand will be fifty-one my next birthday. Which means 70 is ancient. Of course, when I'm 70, 80 will be ancient....=)

Ta Fête
Dorothy - Félicitations à ta fête aujourd'hui de Montréal. Well not quite from that city but from the third island west. Oh to be sooo young again!!! I bought my only pair of Mary Jane's in Los Angles wearing my business suit. I figured I could get away with doing something so outlandish when so far from home. It seems like a lifetime ago - I don't even remember what year it was!! It certainly was in the last century.
I hope you have warmer weather for your anniversary day. The weather report at 6 pm for Edmonton was not the best - I often watch CTV Edmonton news as I have my only relatives in that area. I wish I could send you the beautiful almost full moon shining into my living room window on our warm clear night. My next birthday anniversary is in October & will then be 30 years older that you. So I wish you all that you desire to continue your transition - it is never to late to realize your dreams. I had my operation in January of 2011 in Montréal so don't give up your goal. Dr. Brassard is strict about his clients being in reasonable health regardless of their age.
Treat your self today - you so deserve to celebrate!!
