Hi everyone. I've been MIA for a while. Not sure if anyone noticed, but for those who have, I'm still around. Sometimes I just lurk in the shadows while sorting through some of life's challenges. All is well, and have overcome some hurdles in my absence. Drop by and say hi, let me know how all of you are doing, would love to catch up with some of you.
Ok folks, I'm back. Maybe I have been away too long, but my recent episode of Angel is all centered and I can't figure out why, there are no tags to format it as such. Anyone know what's going on?
Those of you who started transitioning in the 80's, can you tell me a little about your experience, treatments available, time frames involved and any state requirements (doesn't matter which state). No, I did not discover time travel, I am writing an actual transgendered woman into Angel and would like to know what was different vs what's available now. Thank you for your help.
Here is a question from a psychological perspective. It is a question I have thought of many times and can't seem to place my finger on how I would answer it. I am curious as to how everyone else would answer.
You have to make a choice. It is either one or the other, but not both. What ever your choice is, it's permanent and your body is fixed, prohibiting you from making any alterations through means of surgery, hormone treatment, or any other means.
Wow, the Season two premier has been out for a week, and today the episode just surpassed all other previous episodes in terms of read count, second only to the pilot episode. Thanks everyone for the support.
Ok ladies, I need some help with fashion advice. Anyone well versed on late 80's women's fashions? Working it into my story and need some good ideas and descriptions. PM me if you can help.
Former Navy Seal Kristin Beck was featured on the John and Ken show on KFI. Missed the show as I can't stand them, but I will give a listen later. Give her some support on their page, leaving her a message. http://www.kfiam640.com/pages/johnandken.html?article=11354528
Something unexpected happened to me last week. I spontaneously jumped on an open opportunity and came out to my wife of seven years. I know she has detected Megan lurking around, confined, but never really put it together. After a routine evening, I expressed my need for more romance and intimacy. She said I was more of a girl...I went for it this time. She was a little confused, a little disappointed that I never told her, but overall, is committed to me.
My new story, "Destiny Bender" is in the works and I should have part one finished soon. This will be a much smaller series than Angel and will revolve around a teenage boy who's struggles in a measly life wishing his life would have turned out different. One day he is given the chance to change a mistake that forever altered his life. While this sounds much like a typical wish kind of story, it is not. Unlike Angel the TG elements will be more front end center rather than subtle.
That's a wrap folks. Part two is going through a second edit and should post tomorrow sometime. This concludes all writing on Angel Season One, and now it's time for a little break. This is a stellar personal achievement of mine, one I am very proud of considering my past dislike for writing. In the seven months I have been writing, I have finished with a word count just over 199k. Feels great to see something through, from start to finish.
After a comment I received today on Motherland Part II. I am officially giving up writing. Why bother? What's the point? Slaving away for months on end, giving up a social life only to find out that I could have spared myself the heartache if I had just gone to bestessay.com and purchased pre-written essays from their large database of prewritten essays, term papers, research reports...wait, do they have a transgendered fiction section?
The following was posted as a comment on my episode of Angel, Motherland Part II. Anyone else get this?
Just to be clear, It was my plan to post the sneak peak of the finale here for the generous family I have grown to live here at Big Closet. I appreciate those who reached out to me to express their concern regarding many people's reluctance to have a presence on FB. My intent was to post here and on FB with my note at the bottom of my last episode being more targeted to other sites. It was not my intention to exclude my family here and I am deeply honored to know just how much my writing means to you.
Oh boy, have I been having a rough time. This is probably my longest stretch writing an episode, but I am please to announce to those who have been following "Angel" that the second half of Motherland is almost done, I am hoping to finish principle writing tomorrow, then spend some time closing gaps and a few re-writes before handing it over to the editors. This will be another long one almost 45 pages and continues with the situation unfolding in Star City, Russia.
How does everyone write in the first person without the repetitive use of "I". Sure we all talk like this on a daily basis, but when I re-read my dialog, I can't help but feel the word is over used. Thanks for your input
about being a male when I seriously didn't give a rip about football. Well it's a great day to write, hoping to finish my latest episode and get it posted in the next few days.
I noticed I had high traffic and feedback for "Angel" on Fiction Mania. Since bringing the series here to BCTS, the traffic all but died. I am starting to think all my wonderful fans were from here all along. If so, thank you all for your continued support. You all rock.
Well this is interesting. As you can tell I am very excited for a new Superman Movie this summer. I have been avoiding reading much about the story as when Superman Returns came out I had read every article, and seen every trailer. I was so disappointed with the film because there was so little of the film I hadn't seen yet. However, I couldn't help gravitating to this article, Seems that Jimmy Olson in the new Man of Steel movie will be Jenny Olson.
Does anyone publish different versions of their stories on different sites? At some point my story will have some story arcs that will deal with some rather intense issues. While I deem them to be important to the overal large picture of the story, I am also sensitive to my readers, and would like to offer a toned down version on one site, an uncut version on another. Wondering what other writer's thoughts are. Also I am still trying to get a grasp on the audiences on BCTS, FM and TG Storytime.
I am a bit nervous about Monday I am finally going int to have the left and right removed from the bottom. It will be the first of a couple procedures and the first time I have ever been under. I tried several times in the past, but ended up chickening out. This time, I am determined, and know, in the end, it will all be worth it, I have no idea why I have put this off as long as I have. Ever since I was young, they have been tormenting me causing pain and other issues.
