It had been a rough year for Anthony Russo. His parents had perished in a horrific crash due to drunk drivers hauling dangerous chemicals crashing into one another and sandwiching their car killing the couple instantly. He was left to care for his eight-year-old sister while finishing his high school diploma and fighting social services off as they tried to his sister into custody.

Paige called 999 to get an ambulance as well as the police to respond then stopped Anil before he ran off. Anil looked up at Paige and knew that he wasn't going anywhere, but seeing Elise caused him to try to back away in fear before Paige could ask him anything. Elise was told to go back to the car and stay there, she would handle Anil as Elise was just scaring him and making things worse for the boy.

Carmen Isabela Sofia de Valencita sat in her freshly poured bath, enjoying the softly scented bubbles floating around her as she relaxed. Tomorrow was going to be a very big day for her, her twin boys, Julio Ramon and Javier Luis would be heading off to college in Georgia. She couldn't even remember which college or university they would be attending, she was doing her best to stay strong until after they had left.

Her mind drifted back to when she had first known she would have a child and what had resulted from that discovery..

I had an idea for a story set in Winnisimmet, Massachusetts, so I bounced it off of efindumb and after a bit of discussion, he said that he would consider allowing this to be a Winnisimmet Tales story. I've spent the last 48 hours adjusting some bits to his approval.

So here is the start of a brand new Winnisimmet Tales story, I intend it to be novel length overall, so there will be much more to write.

My thanks go out to efindumb for allowing me to play in his universe, I hope I do it justice.

  At anytime over a million trucks are professionally driven on the highways and by-ways of America. Carrying everything from acid to yachts. Not all loads are so innocuous. Some are precious and some are out-right lethal. For loads that are deemed dangerous or valuable to be referred to as High-Security, special trucks are used. Trucks that look so normal, one would never guess it from any other. Trucks that run in secret, apart from their company, called Ghost Fleets. Others have no markings at all, and are specially modified. One such company that specializes in High-Security Loads; Phantom Lines....
