so today I found myself drifting into disassociation, without any trigger I could think of.
It is kind of scary that I still have the ability to put my body on autopilot while my brain takes a vacation.

So You Think You're Unique?
Dorothy, many of us do the same. Today I was doing some things on the computer and I woke up an hour later!
Nothing unusual about that
I used to have a 45 minute commute to work. The drive consisted of 2 blocks to the freeway for a 4 mile stretch, a five mile run on a four lane thoroughfare and a 6 mile jaunt on an expressway and about a mile and a half through a small town to my work place.
It was not uncommon for me to come to myself somewhere along the expressway with no memory of what happened after getting on the freeway.
My brain is too active to waist much of its energy on mundane things, like driving a familiar route.
Hugs
