Perhaps about 10 years ago, there was a multi Chapter TG story that was set somewhere East of Sacramento. I've looked at the map to refresh my memory, but no joy. Does this ring a bell with anyone?

look a little north

Gwen, next time you goto google maps or next best, find the CA cap. scroll in and scroll north and the name of the town is Oroville CA.

Hope this helps.

Sierra Nevada foothills are east of Sac... Hwy 50 takes you to Placerville and onward to Lake Tahoe. I hope this helps.

I do recall one I recently reread actually lol

Twins by areccee. (sorry if I spelt their name wrong)
Father & son's witness a mob hit, they and wife/mother are put into witness protection, while one of the twin boys has to become a girl, because of how easy it would be to locate identical twins in comparison to fraternal twins, they are relocated via the witness protection program in a small town in california in the mountains near sacremento california.
MC's name was 'Marcus' and he became 'Cindy'; the family became 'Crane'; twin brother's name was grady & was changed to Teddy/Theodore
.
Hope I was helpful

Thanks!

I was trying to think of that one but couldn't recall the author. (I was thinking of Karin Bishop but couldn't find it on her story list; now I know why. She wrote three stories in that vein, On the Run (2011), The Network (2011) and Cross-Country (2012) -- though it doesn't appear that any of them are still here -- but the Sacramento area didn't figure in any of them, unless one counts driving east 500 miles on Interstate 80 to Elko, Nevada in Cross-Country -- which would take you through (or around) Sacramento heading east.)

Here's the URL for Arecee's story. (It's attached to the word "here's".)
