Faith
or, How I learned to love a Witch.

Meeting a girl in a book store, leads me to a different life and more.

This is a sequel to my story "The Witch, the Warlock, and me." If you haven’t, you might want to read it to find out about a few of the characters in this story.

1. A first meeting.

My name is Carl and during the break between my junior and senior years in college, I’d taken a drive to a little town on the ocean about an hour from campus. I was walking through the older part of town, which had been renovated and turned into a very nice shopping area with many small shops. But, most of these shops didn’t interest me. Then at the end of one street was a very large old house that caught my attention. The first floor had been turned into a book shop and they specialized in old books. Old books were my down fall. I loved them.

As I walked up to the door of the book shop, The Witch & The Wizard, I noticed a very interesting ornate pentagram on the door. As I opened the door and walked in I felt something, something that I couldn’t put my finger on.

The young woman, who was standing behind the counter, turned, looked at me, smiled, and asked, “Can I help you with something?”

I returned the smile as I answered, “Nothing right now. I’d . . . I’d . . . I’d just like to look around.”

“Browse to your hearts content. My name is Faith. Just let me know if I can be of help.”

“Thank you. I . . . I . . . I will.”

This young woman had to be one of the prettiest girls that I’d ever seen. Long black hair, a face that belonged in movies, and her eyes were so dark that they were almost black.

I had been looking around for almost an hour when the girl walked up to me, and asked, “Is there anything in particular that you’re looking for?”

“Well . . . I . . . I . . . I like old books on history.”, I stuttered.

“Come with me. They’re in the old sitting room.”

I followed her to the other side of the house. As I did, I noticed how she was dressed. She wore a long black skirt that almost hid her shoes, which were actually a pair of white lace granny boots. Her blouse was white silk with a high neck and long sleeves. And, she had a very pretty cameo on a black velvet ribbon tied around her neck.

As we walked into the sitting room, she went over to one large, floor to ceiling, bookcase, turned, smiled, and said, “I think you might find something interesting in here Mr. Fox.”

“Thank you.”, I said as she walked away. I couldn’t help but watch her until she was out of sight.

I started going through the books in the case and she was right, there were some very interesting volumes. Then it hit me. How did she know my name? I never introduced myself. Well maybe I did and just didn’t remember.

I found a very interesting book on the history of Cornwall, England. My ancestors were from there, so it was always fun to find things about the area and it’s people. I carefully looked through it and found a whole chapter on the town my ancestors came from. So, I had to have this book.

I continued to browse some more, but didn’t find anything else. So, I took the book to the counter and waited for Faith to finish with another customer. When she had finished, she said, “I see you found something. I thought you just might.”

“My . . . My . . . My ancestors are from this part of England and this book has . . . has . . . has a full chapter on the town.”

“I’m glad. It’s always fun to find something like that.”

I paid for the book and it wasn’t cheap. Then as I was leaving she said, “Come back and see us. We receive things like this all the time.”

“Thank you. I . . . I . . . I will.”, I replied.

Over the next week I read the book and learned some interesting things about Cornwall. But, I also couldn’t get the girl from the book shop out of my mind.

The following Saturday morning I found myself back in front of The Witch & The Wizard, and as I walked in the same girl was there and said, “Welcome back Mr. Fox.”

I looked at her and said, “It’s . . . It’s Faith. Right?”

“Yes it is.”

“How . . . How do you know my name?”

“It was on your credit card.”

“No. You called me by name before I . . . I paid for the book.”

“Then you must have told me.”

“I guess maybe I . . . I did.”

“If I can be of help let me know.”

“Thank you. I . . . I will.”

I went back to the room where the history books were and started looking through them and there were a number of new ones. But, this time I didn’t find anything. So, I walked back to the front of the house and as I approached the counter there were now two girls there, Faith and another equally pretty girl. Both wore long skirts, granny boots, and silk high-necked blouses. This new girl was also very pretty, a redhead with green eyes, and the whitest skin that I’d ever seen.

As I walked up to the counter Faith said, “I see you didn’t find anything today.”

“No. I . . . I guess it just wasn’t my day.”

“Maybe next time.”

“Maybe.” Then I said something that completely surprised me. I’m usually very shy and with my stuttering problem I usually have problems talking to people, especially pretty girls. But, I said, “Faith. Would . . . Would . . . Would you have lunch with me?”

Faith looked at the other girl with a little frown. The other girl just smiled at her. Faith then looked at me, smiled, and replied, “I usually just eat upstairs. But, yes. I’d love to have lunch with you.”

“Any good places close by?”

“There’s a coffee shop just down the street that has really nice lunches. Let me get my wrap and I’ll be right back.”

She turned, whispered something to the other girl, opened a door behind the counter, and went up the stairs that were behind the door. I stood there very nervously, with the other girl, waiting for Faith to come back. The other girl kept looking at me and smiling. Both of these girls had infectious smiles, so I couldn’t help but return her smiles.

Faith was back in a couple minutes and as we were leaving she said to the other girl, “I won’t be very long. When mom gets back, tell her where I went.”

The other girl smiled, and replied, “Take all the time you want.”

I’ll spare you the details of the next couple of months, but Faith and I hit it off and started dating. The hour long drives to see her were worth every minute and then some. I even spent a few Friday and Saturday nights at a local motel just to spend the weekend with her.

I found out that Faith was twenty-one, a year younger then I was, and a Junior in college. The other girl was her younger sister Rachel. I also met her mother and grandmother, and I know where Faith gets her good looks from. Her mother and her Aunt Abbey, who I also met, own the book store, and Faith and Rachel work there when not attending classes.

2. Something revealed.

We’d become a couple, a real couple, and I was really feeling something for this girl..

One weekend at the end of October she asked me not to come up on Friday, but on Saturday. Her excuse was that she had something to do Friday night. Some girl stuff.

That Saturday we had a very nice lunch at a little restaurant in town, and as we were leaving she took my hand and led me to a small park which I’d never noticed before. We found a bench, sat, and she cuddled up next to me. We sat there in silence for a few minutes, then Faith moved so she could look at me and in a serious way said, “Honey. There’s something that you need to know.”

I looked at her and said, “So, just . . . just tell me.”

“The first thing may . . . may cause a problem in our relationship, but I really hope it doesn’t.”

“So, then why . . . why tell me?” Did she have another boyfriend?

“Because you have a right to know.”

“A right to know?” I just sat there and looked at her.

“The reason that I asked you not to come up yesterday was it was All Hollows Eve.”

“So?”

“It’s a very special day to me.”

“A special day?”

“Yes. It’s a special holy day.”

“A holy day?”

Looking directly into my eyes, she very softly said, “I’m a Witch and it’s a very special day.”

I sat back, looked at her, and didn’t say anything for a minute. Then I said, “Are you all right?”

“I’m fine. But, really, I am a Witch.”

“A Witch. There’s no . . . no such thing.”

“That’s what my father said to my mother when she told him that she was a Witch.”

“Your . . . your mother is a Witch. And, I . . . I suppose that Rachel is too?”

“Yes. And, my grandmother.”

“And, your Aunt Abbey?”

“No. She’s not.”

“Faith. There is no . . . no . . . no such thing as Witches.”

Faith took my face in her hands, whispered something, then said, “Say, the quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog.”

“What?”

“Go on. Just say it.”

With my stuttering problem we both knew that I’d stumble over the words, or I thought that I would. So, reluctantly I said, “The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog.” I looked at her for a second, then I said it again.

I guess the look on my face, when I realized that I had said the sentence without stuttering, brought a smile to her face. Then I said, “What did you just do?”

“I cast a spell.”

“A spell?”

“Yes. To stop your stuttering.”

I look at her, shook my head, and said “No way! It’s a trick.”

“You just don’t believe me. Do you?”

“I just . . . “

“Honey. Believe me. I am a Witch. See that bush over there? The one that appears dead.”, she said pointing to a bush that didn’t have any leaves on it.

I looked to where she was pointing, and said, “Yes.”

She then quietly said something that I didn’t understand. I watched as the leaves appeared on the bush. I looked back at her and just couldn’t say anything.

She then said, “No honey. I’m not crazy. I am a Witch. I can cast spells, read minds, and do other things.”

“That’s how you knew my name!?”

Looking a little ashamed, she whispered, “Yes.”

I guess the look that was now on my face had her worried, because she went on to say, “Honey. I don’t want to lose you, but you needed to know.”

“You really are a Witch. Aren’t you?”

“Yes.”

I just sat there looking at her and thinking, ‘This girl, a girl that I was coming to really like, no love, had just dropped a bomb. She had just told me that she’s a Witch, something I didn’t believe existed, and had proven she was. How did I feel? What was I going to do?’

She was sitting there quietly crying. Looking at her, I knew how I felt. But, what was I going to do?

I put my arm around her, pulled her close, and said, “Why did you tell me this?”

She looked at me, the tears streaming down her cheeks, and said, “Because . . . Because I love you. I really love you. And, you needed to know before our relationship goes any further. If it does.”

“You . . . You love me.”

“With all my heart and soul.”

I just looked at her for a few seconds, wiped away her tears, took her in my arms, and held her. Finally I whispered, “I’m not sure about the Witch thing. But, Faith . . . I love you too.”

She pulled back from me, looked into my eyes, threw her arms around me, and gave me a very long, very deep, kiss. When we broke the kiss, I looked at her and she was crying again. I wiped those tears away and asked, “Why the tears?”

“I’m just so happy to be with you. So happy that you didn’t run away.”

“Why would I run away?”

“I’m a Witch. Someone that most people don’t believe even exists.”

“But, you’re also something else.”

“Something else?”

“You’re a very special person. A person that I really enjoy being with. The Witch thing is going to take me awhile to get use to. I’m still not sure that I believe this whole thing or if I can get use to it. But, I’ll try. You’ll just have to give me some time.”

“You have all the time in the world.”

“But, if you can read minds you know everything that I’m thinking.”

“No. I do it every time a new customer walks in, so that I can try and help them find what they want. With you, I found out that your name was Carl Fox and that you loved history. In particular the history of the West Country of England. But, when we started seeing each other I blocked your thoughts. I wanted everything between us to be spontaneous.”

“So, you don’t know my most intimate thoughts?”

“No. And, I want to keep it that way.”

As we walked hand in hand back toward the book shop I asked her, “I thought all Witches were ugly and did bad things.”

“Mom said that you’d say that. My father said the same thing when she told him.”

“Your father wasn’t a Witch?”

“A Wizard. No. He was like you.”

“You’ve never talked much about your father.”

“I know. Someday I’ll explain everything.”

“You’re not ugly and so far you haven’t done anything bad to me. So, what kind of Witch are you?”

She smiled, and said, “I’m a white, or a good, Witch. Most of us are. Thank the goddess there are very few bad, or black, Witches. And, I’ll never do anything bad to you.”

With a grin I asked, “Now, where do you keep your broomstick?”

“You’re impossible. I suppose you think I also have a black pointy hat.”

“Of course.”

She stopped walking, looked at me, and said, “Listen you. The stories and pictures of the ugly Witches were meant to scare little children. We don't wear pointy black hats or boil little children in caldrons."

“Ugly you’re not.” Then I kissed her, and said, “But, you’d look cute in a pointy black hat.”

In early January, as I was helping Faith put some books on a shelf, she asked, “Honey can you spend the weekend?”

I asked, “I am.”

“No. Next weekend.”

“I was planning to.”

“I know. But, would you stay here in the house with me?”

“Here? In the house?”

“Yes. Mom, grandma, and my aunt are going to be gone for a long weekend on a buying trip.”

“And, you want me to spend the weekend here with you?”

“Yes.”

I would normally jump at a chance to do something like that, but knowing that her mother was a Witch had me a little concerned. So I asked, “Won’t your mom know?”

“She already does.”

“Oh?”

“It’s hard to keep secrets from her. She already knows that we’ve been sleeping together. And, I also think she knows how we feel about each other. I had a talk with her and told her that I was going to ask you to stay while they were gone, and she was actually was surprised that I hadn’t asked you before this.”

I guess from the look on my face she figured that I was worried.

“Don’t worry. She’s fine with it. Besides we’re adults. So, will you?”

“Yea . . . sure. But, what about Rachel?”

“Don’t worry about her. She’ll leave us alone.”

After my last class the following Friday I headed to Faiths’. When I arrived, Rachel was at the book shop counter and greeted me with a smile that would melt the heart of any guy and a, “Hi Carl.”

“Hi Rachel. How are you?”, I replied.

“I’m fine. Faith’s upstairs. Go on up. She’s expecting you.”

“Thanks. Want to go out to dinner with us?”

“I’d love to. But, I’ve got plans.”

I walked through the door behind the counter and up the stairs to the second floor. As I opened the door, Faith met me with a very nice kiss, and just said, “Hi.”

“Hi.”, I replied, “Are you really sure that staying the weekend is all right? I’ll go to the motel.”

“It’s fine. As they were leaving, mom said, ‘You and Carl have fun this weekend.’ I got a look from Aunt Abbey that she really didn’t approve, but that’s just her.”

“All right. But, I’m just a little nervous about spending a night in my girlfriend’s bed in her mother’s house.”

“It’ll be fine. Come on. Lets go help Rachel close the shop, then we can go out for dinner.”

We closed the shop and Rachel was out the door, like a shot, heading to one of her friends. As Faith locked the door to the shop, I asked, “No burglar alarm?”

Faith just looked at me, raised an eyebrow, then said, “A burglar alarm in a shop owned by Witches?”

“Oh yea. I guess that wouldn’t be a problem. Would it?”

“No. You really wouldn’t want to break in here.”

Faith and I had a nice meal at a small restaurant in the town’s business district. Over the past few months we hadn’t talked much about her being a Witch. I wanted her to tell me in her own time. But, as we were eating, I stopped, and just looked at her. She finally asked, “Why are you staring at me?”

“I was just wondering how long have you known?”, I asked.

“Know what?”

“That you were a Witch.”

“I guess always. Why?”

“I just want to know more about you.”

“I’m glad. But, not here. Wait until we get back to the house.”

We finished our meal and took a walk around town. This town does have a number of really great shops. We stopped in front of a jewelry shop and I stood behind Faith, as she was looking in the window. I knew what she was looking at. I took hold of her shoulders and whispered in her ear, “One day I want to give you one of those.”

She turned, looked at me, and asked, “Do you really love me?”

“You know I do.”

“Enough to marry me one day?”

“Yes.”

“Do you know what it’s like being married to a Witch?”

With a little grin, I said, “No. I’ve never been married to one.”

“Oh! You . . . You . . . “

She didn’t finish her thought, but threw her arms around my neck and kissed me.

We slowly walked back to the house and settled in the livingroom. Faith put on some music and we cuddled together on the sofa. We never did get around to talking about what it was like to be a Witch, our cuddling turned into some heavy necking.

About ten o’clock we heard the back door to the house open and close. Then we heard someone run up the back stairs and continue up to the third floor where the two girls’ bedrooms were. Faith whispered, “It’s Rachel. And, she’s home way too early.”

“Is that a problem?”, I asked.

“No. But, something’s wrong. I’ll be right back.”

Faith gave me a kiss, got up off the sofa, and headed for the third floor. I sat there for a few minutes hoping that she’d be back quickly, but it looked like she wasn’t going to be. I’d been in this room many times before, but I still sat there and looked around. Then I saw a bookcase that I’d never noticed before. I walked over to it and looked at the volumes that were in it. They were all old and I couldn’t read any of the words that were on the spines of any of the books.

I hadn’t heard Faith come back downstairs and I jumped a little when she said, “That’s my mothers’ private library.”

I quickly stood up, turned to look at her, and said, “I’m sorry. I was being nosey.”

“No. It’s all right. They’re very old and you love old books. And, if mom hadn’t wanted you to see them, they wouldn’t have been here.”

“So, I wasn’t crazy when I thought I hadn’t seen them before.”

“You are crazy. But, they were here, you just couldn’t see them.”

“So. Your mom does want me to know more about you?”

“Yes. I think she sees something.”

“Like at the jewelry store?”

“Kind of.”

“Is Rachel all right?”

“No. She had a big fight with her boyfriend and they broke up. And, she’s madder then I’ve ever seen her.”

“I figure having a fight with a Witch isn’t a good thing. Is it? Does he know about her?”

“No he doesn’t. And, in most cases you’re right. Having a fight with a Witch is very dangerous.”

With a smile, I said, “I’m glad you told me.”

“Don’t worry love. Both Rachel and I know how to control ourselves. My mother was very clear about our powers and using them properly. Besides neither of us wants to be sent to visit Aunt Hyacinth.”

“Aunt Hyacinth?”

“Actually it’s Great-Aunt Hyacinth. She’s my grandmothers’ sister and is very strict. And, being sent to stay with her isn’t something either of us want.”

I looked back at the books, and asked, “Can you read these?”

“Most of them.”, Faith replied, “They’re written in various old languages and not many people can read them. Here let me show you.”

She walked over and removed one of the volumes from the bookcase. We sat on the sofa, and as she untied a black ribbon that was holding the book closed, she said, “This book is one of a kind. It’s loose leaf, hand written and illuminated.”

She carefully opened it and showed me the pages. She was right, the language the book was written in didn’t look like anything I’d ever seen. The illuminations were very interesting. Some showed a groups of Witches. Some showed some other scarey characters.

I asked, “So, this is a Witches’ book?”

“Yes.”, she replied, “All of them are. They contain spells, the ingredients to potions, and a lot of history.”

“History?”

“They tell about the various covens. Some of the better-known Witches and Wizards. Some of the black Witches and Warlocks, and the nasty deeds that they’ve done. Stuff like that.”

“And, you can do the spells and make the potions?”

“A lot of them. And, like my mother and grandmother, I only practice my art to learn it. I’ve only used it once or twice.”

“So, you don’t do whatever it is Witches do?”

“What do Witches do?”

“I don’t know. Ride brooms and stuff like that.”

She got a big smile, kissed me, and said, “The concept of Witches has been so bent out of shape by what people have been told. Remember there are black Witches and white Witches. Black Witches are rare and practice black, or bad, magic. There are a lot more white Witches and we practice a benevolent style of Witch craft. Actually, we profess to an ethical code that won’t let us perform magic on a person unless they request it or in special circumstances.”

“But, you cast a spell on me to stop my stuttering without me asking.”

“I know, and I shouldn’t have. But, I needed to prove to you that I was a Witch. I’ll take it back if you want me too?”

“No. I’m glad that you did it. So, you’ve never used your powers unless someone knew you were doing it?”

“Not exactly.”

“Not exactly?”

“Once I helped a boy that was getting beaten up by a bully.”

“That was a good thing, wasn’t it?”

“I thought so. But, mom wasn’t happy because I interfered with a little bit of history.”

“So, the boy was meant to be beaten up.”

“I guess.”

“Anything else?”

“I used my powers at school once to change a grade. That got me sent to Aunt Hyacinth’s and I learned my lesson.”

“So, Aunt Hyacinth is really strict?”

“Very. And, the clothes she made me wear were not nice.”

“Clothes?”

“Old Victorian stuff. Corsets, long dresses with long sleeves and high necks, high lace up boots, and stuff like that. Also, we have to act like a perfect lady.”

“She’s sounds tough.”

“You have no idea.”

“Has Rachel ever had to visit her?”

“Three times.”

“Are you sure she doesn’t like you aunts’ treatment?”

“I don’t think so. The last time she was there was right after we met.”

“Why? What did she do?”

“She put the thought in your head to ask me out to lunch.”

“She didn’t?”

“She did. And, when mom found out, it was off to Aunt Hyacinths’ for a week. Which of course left me to mind the shop.”

“So, if Rachel hadn’t put that thought in my mind I wouldn’t have asked you out?”

“You might have. She knew that I liked you the first time we saw each other and also that you were shy.”

“You liked me?”

“I liked what I saw when you walked in the shop and I was glad when you came back. Rachel loves reading minds, especially mine.”

“And, your mom doesn’t get mad at her?”

“Oh, does she ever. After she had you ask me out, mom went crazy. Along with the stay at Aunt Hyacinths’, she was grounded for a month.”

“Ouch.”

She went on to show me a few more books and we talked about her being a Witch. It was a great learning experience.

Finally she got up and started turning off the lights, then walked back over to me, took my hand, and led me upstairs. I’d been in this bedroom a few times before, but only for a short time. As we walked into the bedroom, a couple of candles started to burn. I looked at her and just knew she’d lit them with magic. She just smiled.

We didn’t talk as we slowly undressed each other. I’d seen her naked body before, but tonight she just looked fantastic. The love we shared that night was out of sight. I couldn’t imagine anything better.

Waking up next to her on Saturday morning was interesting. She looked like an angel laying there, but I knew she was a Witch. She finally started to stir, so I leaned over and gave her a kiss. She opened her eyes, smiled, and said, “Good morning.”

“Good morning.”, I replied.

“Was last night a dream?”

“If it was, I don’t want to wake up.”

She wrapped her arms around me, pulled me down to her, and gave me a long, deep, kiss. That kiss led to us not getting out of bed for almost an hour. After we had cuddled for a while, she asked, “What time is it?”

“Just a little after eight.”, I replied.

“Good. I’ve got plenty of time to fix breakfast before we open up.”

Faith was opening the shop at ten and working until two, when Rachel was supposed to work until closing at five. That would give Faith and me all afternoon and evening and since the shop was closed on Sunday, we’d have most of that day together. Her mother wouldn’t be back until sometime on Monday.

Rachel was out somewhere all morning and when two o’clock rolled around she wasn’t back. Faith was starting to get a little upset. We had planned on seeing a movie at three. At a little after three we heard someone come in the back door and go upstairs.

Faith said, “It’s about time she got here. Can you watch the store for a minute? I need to talk to her.”

She didn’t even wait for an answer. She was through the door and up the stairs before I could say anything. I heard a little yelling from upstairs. And, Faith was back downstairs in about ten minutes and I could tell she wasn’t happy.

Neither of us said anything for a few minutes, then under her breath, she said, “Little sisters!”

“What happened?”, I asked.

“She and her boy friend got into it again. And, now she’s mad at me.”

“Mad at you. Why?”

“Because I yelled at here for not being here on time.”

“Is everything going to be all right?”

“No. Now, I’m mad at her for ruining my time with you.”

Faith was mad. You could feel the tension. I tried to calm her down with, “Love. It doesn’t matter. We’re here with each other and that’s all that matters.”

“It does matter.”, she said, “We had plans and she ruined them.”

We finally closed the shop at five and went out to dinner. Faith was still mad and wasn’t talking very much. When we had finished eating, I said, “Lets take a walk?”

“No.”, she replied.

“Faith. Stop being mad at Rachel. I’m just happy to be with you.”

“All right.”

We started walking and ended up at the same little park and sitting on the same bench where she’d told me that she was a Witch. We sat there in silence for a little while. Finally Faith said, “I’m sorry. But, she just ruined our evening.”

“Why is it ruined? We’re together.”

“I know. But, we had plans.”

“But, the most important thing is we’re here together right now and that’s all I need.”

She looked at me, smiled a little, then said, “You’re right. Just sitting here with you is all I need too.”

We then shared a long kiss, followed by a hug.

As we were walking back to the shop, I asked, “Just how mad is Rachel?”

“Remember last night I said that I’d never seen her that mad?”

“Yea.”

“Since mom left me in charge, I grounded her. And, she’s really mad.”

“She’s over eighteen. How can you ground her?”

“Mom’s rules. And, Rachel knows, that as long as we live in mom’s house, mom’s rules overrides anyone else’s rules or laws.”

We were back at the house at about nine and Faith checked on Rachel. When she came back down to the livingroom, she said, “She’s not talking to me. She’s in her room reading.”

“I hope she doesn’t stay mad too long.”

“She’s very strong willed, but she won’t stay mad long.”, Faith said, then with a big grin added, “Maybe only a couple of months.”

I just shook my head.

Faith and I again just cuddled up on the sofa and enjoyed each others company. About eleven, she got up, took my hand, and led me up to her room. As we walked in, just like the night before, the candles magically lit. I watched her as she slowly undressed. She was beautiful.

3. A switch.

We had been in bed making love for about fifteen minutes and she was on top. All of a sudden there was a bright flash of light, and I was looking down at my own face and feeling things that I’d never felt before.

“That little Witch!”, the body that use to be mine said.

“What the hell just happened?”, I said, or the body that use to be Faiths’ did.

“That little Witch did a mind swap on us.”

Very confused, I could only say, “How?”

“Oh. There’s a way. Just wait until I get my hands on her. Get off of me.”, she said as she, or I, or who ever, rolled the body I was in off of my, or now Faith’s, body.

This is getting confusing. I’m in Faith’s body and she’s in mine. At least I think that’s the way it is.

As my body started for the door, I said, “Faith. Wait!”

My body turned around and looked at me, and said, “What!?”

“Don’t leave me like this!”

“Love. It’ll be fine. I’ll be right back. I’ve got to get her to swap us back.”

“Can’t you do it?”

“No. I was part of the spell.”

“But, what am I going to do?”

“Just wait here. I won’t be gone long. Then we’ll straighten it out.”

“OK. But, please don’t be long, and you may want to put on a robe. Rachel may not like seeing you like that.”

“Seeing me like . . . ,” she started to say as she looked down at my, or now her, naked body. She grabbed her robe and it didn’t fit. She frowned, threw it off, grabbed mine, slipped it on, and was out the door.

I laid there trying to clear my head and figure out what I was feeling. I was in a girl’s body. Faith’s body. We’d been in the middle of a really heavy round of love making and I guess this body was still feeling the effects of it. I couldn’t figure out what I was feeling, but it was interesting to say the least.

I felt my face, it was soft and smooth, just like Faiths’. I guess it should be. After all it was really Faiths’. I looked at my hands and they were small and feminine. Then those hands went to some place that maybe they shouldn’t have. I carefully touch my breasts. My breasts!? It was weird touching something that you knew weren’t supposed to be yours, but now were. I brushed my hand across a nipple, it was sensitive, and it sent a wave of pleasure through me. The ones on my body were sensitive. But, not like this.

I carefully touched both of my nipples and it was amazing what I felt. I just can’t describe it. But, I liked it. I’m really glad Faith came back before I was able to go any further.

When Faith, in my body, walked back into the bedroom, I jumped and hoped that she hadn’t seen what I was doing. I could tell by the look on her face that she wasn’t happy. She stopped at the door, looked at me, and just shook her head.

I asked, “What!?”

“It’s just so weird walking in here and seeing yourself laying there.”

“Tell me about it.”

She walked over to the bed, sat down, and said, “We’ve got a problem.”

“No kidding.”, I said, “You’ve got my body and I’ve got yours. Just switch us back.”

“I can’t. Remember I was part of the spell and I can’t do it to myself.”

“Then get Rachel to do it.”

“She’s gone.”

“Gone!”

“Yea. She must have snuck out of the house just as she did the mind swap.”

“Where’d she go?”

“I’ve got no clue.”

“We’ve got to find her.”

“I know. But, that’s easier said then done.”

“What’s with her?”

“I think she’s really upset over her boyfriend and is taking it out on me, because I got mad at her for not covering the shop for me like we’d agreed.”

“Taking it out on us!”

“Yea. Us.”

“So, what do we do?”

“There isn’t much we can do, until either she decides to swap us back or mom comes home.”

“That won’t be until Monday! And, I’ve got that test and I can’t go looking like this.”

“I know.”

“So, what do we do?”

“I’m not sure.”

Faith moved around a little and the robe fell open. I noticed that I, or Faith, still had a partial erection. Faith looked at me, saw what I was looking at, and said, “Just how do you handle that thing?”

“I . . . I guess it comes with the practice.”

She smiled a little and shook her head. Then, she said, “Lets get a cup of tea and see if we can figure this out.”

I got out of bed, walked over to where she had thrown her robe, picked it up, and put it on. Feeling these breasts move as I walked was another interesting experience.

I think she saw me look down at my breasts as I was walking, because she said, “You’ll get use to them.”

“I hope not.”, I replied.

“You don’t like them.”

“On you. Not on me.”

We went to the kitchen and Faith, or I, or whoever, fixed us tea. As she was doing that, I asked, “So, you have no idea where Rachel went?”

“No.”, she replied, “She’s probably at one of her girl friends.”

“You can’t find her.”

“No. Not when she doesn’t want me to. But, mom could.”

“So, she’s going to be in big trouble when your mom gets home?”

“You’d better believe it.”

We sat and discussed what we had to do. First, we knew that there was no way to swap back unless Rachel did it or when Faith’s mother got back home. So, we didn’t even try to figure out another way to do it.

Second, was how to handle being in each others bodies even if it was for a short time. That came down to just doing it.

Third, we had to figure out what to do with my test on Monday. Faith had no idea what Macro Biology was about, and there wasn’t time to teach her anything about it so that she could take and pass this exam. And, there were no makeup tests on this one. She was smart, but didn’t have any background in biology.

Faith sat and thought for a few minutes. Then, I saw her start to get a little smile. Finally she said, “Maybe. Just maybe.”

“Just maybe what?”, I asked.

“Well. I can read your mind.”

“But, there’s no way I can be in the room sitting next to you to read the questions.”

“Let me finish.”

“Sorry.”

“There may be a way that you can read my mind.”

“How?”

“I’m not sure yet. But, I remember my mom talking about it once. So, there’s got to be a way.”

“How are you going to find out?”

“Do a lot of reading tonight. And, it may take all night.”

“Why not just do it in the morning?”

“I want more time just in case I can’t find it.”

“To do what?”

“Get some help. If I can.”

“From who?”

“Maybe try and get in touch with mom.”

We walked into the livingroom, and Faith took a couple of books out of her mother’s bookcase. We sat on the couch, and she started looking through the books.

After about forty-five minutes the tea started working on my bladder, I got up and said, “I’ll be right back.”

It took me a lot longer then normal to just take a pee. And, it felt, for the lack of a better word, different. Not standing up, nothing to shake, and having to wipe.

I walked back into the livingroom and Faith was standing at the bookcase putting the books back. She turned, looked at me, smiled, and said, “I found what I was looking for.”

“And that was?”, I asked.

“A spell so that you can read my mind.”

“Oh. I was hoping that you had found one to swap us back.”

“Remember. I can’t do that to myself since I was part of the spell.”

“Yea. I was just hoping.”

“What’s wrong, don’t like being in my body?”

“It’s weird. I suppose you like being in mine?”

“It’s not bad. It’s interesting to see what it’s like from your side.”

I just shook my head.

She walked over to me, took my now small hand in her now large hand, and as she led me toward the steps said, “We’d better get some sleep.”

I followed her upstairs to the bedroom, and as we were getting back in bed, she leaned over to kiss me. I pulled back a little, and she asked, “What’s wrong?”

“I . . . I guess kissing myself.”

“Why? You’re in my body and I’m in yours.”

“I know. But, I’m seeing myself trying to kiss me.”

“Close your eyes.”

I just looked at her or me.

“Go on.”, she said, “Just close your eyes.”

I slowly closed my eyes. I felt her move closer to me and our lips touch. It was strange, she kissed me in the way a guy would kiss his girl. It felt strong, but also very nice. I relaxed a little and felt the feeling behind the kiss. The love. It was a long kiss, not a sensuous one, but there was a lot of feeling behind it.

When she pulled back, I opened my eyes, and she was smiling. She asked, “Was it that bad?”

I just shook my head no.

“Just remember,”, she added, “I may be in your body right now, but I’m still me. And, I love you very much. Also, I just love the way you kiss.”

In the morning, as I was waking up, I felt someone cuddled up to me. First I had to shake out the cobwebs and remember that I wasn’t in my own body, but in Faiths’. Then I had to realize that it was Faith, in my body, cuddled up to me.

I also had to figure out what I was feeling that was hard and pressing against my lower back. Then I remembered. I sometimes get a morning erection.

I stirred a little and heard my voice say, “Good morning lover.”

“Good morning.”, I replied in Faith’s voice.

“Are you all right?”

“Yea. Still trying to get use to this body and my old one pressed up against me.”

“You will. We’ve got all day today for that to happen.”

I rolled over and looked at Faith. Seeing my own face looking back at me was still weird. She gave me a kiss and this time I didn’t pull back. It wasn’t bad. No. Actually it was nice.

Then she asked, “What do I do about this thing between my legs?”

“Huh?”, I asked.

“Does it always get hard like this in the morning?”

“Sometimes.”

“So, what do you do about it?”

“Well, what I’d like to do when it’s that way is too weird to even think about.”

“What’s that?”

“Ah . . . make love.”

“You mean making love to me is weird?” And, I felt a hand touch my breast.

“Yes. . . . No. . . . But . . . But, I’d be making love to my own body.”

“I don’t think I’d have a problem making love to my body. It’s pretty. It’s soft. And, it just begs to be made love to.”

“Wait. You mean that you want to . . . “

I didn’t get a chance to finish. She kissed me, a long, deep, kiss and started playing with my breasts. Something inside me said to stop her, but something else even stronger said . . .

Twenty minutes later we were laying next to each other, and Faith said, “That was really different.”

“Do you always feel this way when you have sex?”, I asked.

“I don’t know. How do you feel?”

“Ah . . . sort of wonderful and warm all over. I saw lights. Colored lights. I even though I was going to pass out. And, if that was a female orgasm. I only have one word. Wow!”

She grinned, and said, “You did make some interesting noises.”

“Noises?”

“Yes love. Noises. I can’t explain them, but it sure sounded like you got into it and were enjoying what was happening.”

“I just never felt anything like this before.”

“I know. Do you always feel so powerful and in control when you’re on top?”

“I guess. But, God this is so weird.”

“No. It wasn’t weird. It was nice. Very nice. And, I really like knowing what it’s like to be on the male side. Maybe I won’t have them change us back.”

“What!?”

“I’m kidding.”

“You’d better be.”

We finally got out of bed and I took a shower. Washing this body was another interesting experience. Faith and I had never showered together, the shower here isn’t big enough, but I’d sure like to once we change back. I had a couple of things that kept running through my mind. Why was Faith so at ease with this whole thing? And, why wasn’t I freaking out being made love to by Faith in my body? I had no answers.

Getting dressed wasn’t too bad. The bra and panties were easy. The pantyhose were something else. I ruined the first pair I tried to put on. She just shook her head and helped me with the second pair. She always wore long skirts, some were black and some were pretty prints. She chose a print for me. Then she picked one of her prettiest high-necked, long sleeved blouses. Then came the ever-present granny boots and cameo necklace.

I know the long skirt, high-necked blouse, and granny boots don’t sound sexy. But, for some reason on her they looked fantastic. She did have other clothes, some very pretty outfits.

After we had breakfast, we went into the livingroom. Faith went to the bookcase and took out a book. She’d marked the page she needed and turned right to it. Then she said, “All right lover. After I cast this spell you will be able to read my mind and I’ll fix it so that it will be only my mind. Otherwise, without a lot of practice you wouldn’t be able to filter out all the other thoughts around you.”

“You know.”, I said, “The closest that I’ll be able to be to the classroom is the lounge area just down the hall. Will I be able to read your mind through the walls?”

“You should, but will try it. It’s going to take a little while for you to get use to talking to me without actually speaking. So, were going to work on that today.”

“So, what do we have to do?”

“You. Nothing. Me. I get to cast a spell.”

“Is it going to hurt?”

“No silly. It’s not going to hurt. You won’t even know it happened until I think something. You ready?”

“I guess.”

I watched as she carefully read something aloud out of the book. When she was done, she closed the book, and I thought she said, ‘Did you feel anything?’

“No. Did you do it? Wait. Your lips aren’t moving.”

‘I know. I’m just thinking the words.’

“Really?”

‘Yes. Now you try it.’

I looked at her and thought, ‘Like this?’

She smiled as she thought, ‘Perfect. What I think we should do, is use nothing but thought to communicate the rest of the day, unless we’re around other people and need to.’

“Other people.”, I said out loud, “I don’t want to be around anyone else.”

‘Lover. If we’re going to make this work tomorrow, you need to be comfortable around others as me.’

“Yea. You’re right. What are we going to do?”

‘First. Thoughts only. Then we’ll see how far we can do this.’

‘Sorry. I forgot.’, I thought, ‘What do you want me to do?’

‘You just sit here. I’ll go outside, and we’ll see how far I can go and still use thought to communicate with you.’

With that Faith, in my body, gave me a kiss, went down the back stairs, and outside. As she walked through the back door, I heard here think, ‘Faith. Can you still hear me?’

I thought, ‘I’m not Faith.’

‘Lover, you are until sometime tomorrow. So, get use to it.’

‘And, I suppose you’re Carl?’

‘Until tomorrow.’

‘Where are you now?’

‘Almost half way down the block.’

‘How am I going to know when it stops working?’

‘It’ll just stop.’

‘How far are you going to go?’

‘Maybe to the coffee shop.’

‘If it works that far it should work at school.’

‘I know, and I’m almost . . . ’

‘Faith? . . . Faith? . . . Oh all right, Carl?’

‘That’s better.’

‘So, how far did you get before it stopped working?’

‘I’m down by the coffee shop.’

‘That far?’

‘This is going to work. Now, come join me and bring your purse.’

‘No way.’

‘Lover. Remember what I said about getting use to being around people? This is a good place to start. There aren’t many people here right now.’

‘But, I’ve got to walk there by myself.’

‘I just did and there’s hardly anyone on the streets.’

‘I know. But, you’ve accepted being me a lot better then I’ve accepted being you.’

‘Sweetheart. You’re still the same person, just in a different body.’

‘I know. It’s the different body thing that I have problems with.’

‘You can do this. Just believe in yourself.’

Five minutes later as I was walking toward the coffee shop, I thought, ‘Faith. I mean Carl. Where are you?’

‘Inside, sitting at the table in the back corner. I’ve got you a chi tea.’

‘I don’t like chi tea.’

‘Faith does and they know that here. The girl behind the counter is Beth Ann. She’ll say hello to you. Just say hello back and smile when you do it.’

A few minutes later as I walked into the coffee shop the girl behind the counter said, “Hi Faith.”

“Hi Beth Ann.”, I said with a smile.

“Your boyfriend has already got you a tea.”

“Thanks.”

It was strange to hear someone call me Faith and tell me about my boyfriend. I walked back to the table where Carl was sitting. He got up and helped me with my chair. As I sat, he said, “See it wasn’t that bad was it?”

I thought, ‘In your dreams love. I almost peed my pants.’

“You can talk now.”

“Oh yea. I almost . . . ”

“I heard you the first time.”

We sat and drank our tea and coffee. As we were leaving, Carl said, “We need to walk around town and go into the stores until you’re comfortable doing it. Then after lunch, we’ll go to the mall.”

“I don’t think I’ll ever get comfortable doing this.”

“You will. It’s going to take a positive attitude to make this work. I could probably find a spell that would make you think like a girl, but I don’t know what it would do in taking the test.”

“I’ll try. I guess it’s the only way this will work.”

“Good girl. And, I’ll try and give you the names ahead of time of the people that you’ll need to know.”

We spent the rest of morning walking around town, and in and out of every store. Carl made me look and handle lingerie. Try on some clothes. Look at cosmetics. Then it hit me. I looked at him, then thought, ‘How are you going to act like me?’

‘Being a guy is easier then being a girl.’

‘Yea right.’

‘Believe me. It is. Have you been watching me?’

‘Yea.’

‘What have you seen?’

‘I guess me.’

‘Exactly. Things’ girls do are more complex then what guys do.’

As we were walking I had a few people, that know Faith, say hello to me. Carl always told me ahead of time who it was, so that I was able respond without hesitation. He also corrected some of the things I did that weren’t feminine.

After lunch and a visit to the ladies room, which took some coaxing, we went back to the house and got the car. The mall was about ten miles from the house and Carl drove.

There were a lot of cars at the mall, which told me there were a lot of people inside. And, I guess I was starting to get use to looking at my body, because when I looked at Carl it was no longer strange seeing myself. But, I still asked, “Do we have to do this?”

“Yes.”, he answered, “The classroom buildings are crowded at times, and you have to get use to being close to people as a girl. Besides, it’ll help me be more like you.”

“All right.”

We both got out of the car and walked into the mall. Like I had figured, it was crowded. But, I heard Carl think, ‘Love. Just relax and it’ll be fine. And, I’ll help you.’

I thought back, ‘I think, after all of this, I’m going to help you kill Rachel when we find her.’

‘Don’t worry. Mom will take care of it.’

With a grin, I thought, ‘Oh. You mean my mom?’

He looked at me and just shook his head.

We spent about three hours at the mall, window shopping and people watching. I had to remember not to hold doors open, that was Carl’s job. But, I think the most important lesson I learned from Carl was to not smile at guys.

As we were leaving the mall, he asked me, “Well. Was it that bad?”

“No.”, I replied, “It got easier and easier.”

“That’s my girl. I knew you could do it.”

“Your girl?”

“You are until mom gets home. Aren’t you?”

“I guess I don’t have a choice. Do I? Ah. Who’s going to watch the shop tomorrow while we’re gone?”

“Oh. That’s right. The class is an early morning one. Right?”

“Yea. At nine.”

“We normally open at ten and we should be back around eleven. I just guess we’ll just open a bit late.”

When we were back at the house, Rachel still wasn’t home. Carl made a nice dinner for us and we talked about the test tomorrow. I told him that it should take less than an hour. And, that there may be a few people that might say hello to him. But, that I usually didn’t talk much and usually only said ‘Hi.’

Carl removed the spell, so that we were no longer reading each others minds. He said, that it wasn’t fair to know each others thoughts unless we wanted to share them.

After dinner, there was a gentle rain falling, so we couldn’t go for a walk. We went into the living room. Carl put on some nice music, and when we went to sit on the sofa he grabbed me and sat me on his lap. He went to kiss me, I stopped him, and asked, “Faith. Why are you so at ease with this whole mess?”

“It’s Carl.”

“No. Right now I want to talk to Faith.”

“What’s wrong?”

“Why are you so at ease with this whole crazy thing?”

“I’m not really sure. I know I’m finding it interesting being a guy. Seeing what it’s like from your side. I also figure that we’re stuck until either Rachel decides to change us back or mom comes home. There’s nothing we can do about it, so why not make the best of it.”

“But, don’t you find it weird being in my body and doing things with me in your body, especially having sex with yourself this morning?”

“It was a little weird to start with. But, I also look at it as a new experience. This morning was a very interesting experience making love with you, not just having sex. I enjoyed it.”

“I know. I enjoyed it too. But, it was still strange doing it with myself.”

“Love. I know. It may have been your body, but it’s my mind. Just enjoy the experience. You may never get another chance to see life from the other side.”

I looked at Carl for a minute, then asked “So, you look at this as an experience to be enjoyed and shared?”

“Yes. And, I think you should try and look at it that way too.”

I don’t know why. Maybe it’s because I love Faith so much and want to share everything with her. Maybe it’s because I’d been in her body for almost twenty-four hours and was feeling feminine. Feminine? Since I was still sitting on his lap, I wrapped my arms around his neck and shared a very nice, very deep, kiss with him.

When we broke the kiss, he looked at me, smiled, and asked, “Are you my girl?”

“I guess I am until tomorrow.”, I replied, “But, I’m always your lover.”

He pulled me closer and we shared another long kiss. That kiss turned into some very heavy necking and petting. I thought I’d felt some interesting things this morning, but I couldn’t believe the emotions that were flowing and physical things that I was feeling.

It wasn’t long until I had his shirt off and he had my blouse and bra off.

His touching and kissing of my breasts were doing things to me that I can’t put into words. But, things were happening inside me that were making me want more.

My hands were places on him that I’d never touched on a guy, except myself. I knew he was enjoying what I was doing to him, as much as I was enjoying what he was doing to me.

Finally, in a husky voice, I said, “If you don’t take me to the bedroom and make love to me right now. I’m . . . “

I didn’t get a chance to finish. It wasn’t long until we were in Faith’s bedroom and the remainder of our clothes were soon strewn all over the floor of the bedroom. I looked at what he had between his legs in a way that I’d never looked at another guy’s equipment, as something to be used for pleasure. Pleasure for both of us. Pleasure in many ways.

After we had consummated our love, we just lay there looking at each other for a long time.

Finally he whispered, “Lover. I don’t believe you.”

“What don’t you believe?”, I asked.

“Everything we just did.”

“Honey. I love you. I felt things when we were downstairs that I can’t explain. Things that made me want you. Made me want to make love as a woman. It was wonderful. You made me feel wonderful. I just can’t believe that you feel like this every time we make love.”

“I must. It’s always made me want more. You’ve always made me feel wonderful before we were switched. And, I’ve tried to do the same to you since. What you did to me just now was amazing. You’re a great lover as a girl. Knowing what you feel when we make love, helps me be a better lover.”

We kissed and started necking again. One thing led to another and it wasn’t long until I was on top and we were enjoying each other again.

I finally collapsed on top of him, gave him a deep kiss, and whispered, “I love you so much.”

He smiled, and whispered, “No more then I love you.”

Completely naked, we fell asleep in each others arms.

We were up early on Monday morning, as we had an hour long drive to campus and had to be there before nine. I got in a nice long shower. When I was done, I slipped into a pretty bra and panty set, that he’d picked out for me, and walked back into the bedroom. I saw the clothes that Carl had picked out laid out on the bed. Not the long skirt and blouse that Faith usually wore, but a pair of jeans, a very pink sweater, and a pair of cross-trainers. I dressed while I waited for Carl to finish his shower.

After Carl had dressed, he helped me with my makeup. Then just before we left, Carl redid the spell so that we could read each others minds. I heard him think, ‘Maybe we should have just left the spell in effect last night.’

I thought, ‘No way lover. I didn’t want you knowing what I was really thinking.’

‘Why not. You would have known what I was thinking too.’

‘Maybe it’s better that we don’t know what each others thinking when we’re making love.’

‘Why. Did you enjoy doing it as a girl that much?’

I just smiled.

On the drive to campus I started getting nervous and Carl knew it. He said, “Love. It’s going to be fine.”

“I know.”, I said, “Or, at least I hope it will. But, I’m going to be alone for an hour.”

“No one will bother you.”

I looked at him, and thought, ‘I hope you’re right.’

‘I am love. This is going to work.’

We were on campus at about eight-thirty and had to walk a good distance to the classroom building. Which we did hand-in-hand. We walked up in front of the classroom door, stopped, looked at each other, and I said, “Good luck. I’ll be in the lounge.”

“With you close.”, he replied, “It’ll be a snap.”

Then I thought, ‘Remember. Third row from the front. Center isle. Right side. Isle seat.’

‘I know. You’ve told me a dozen times.’

‘Sorry.’

Carl gave me a little kiss, turned, and walked into the classroom. I walked down the hall and into the lounge. I got looked at by some of the guys, which unnerved me a little.

The book that I had with me had all blank pages. We knew that if the book had text in it, and if I started reading it, that it just might mess things up. I sat down, opened the book, and pretended to read. But, I was thinking, ‘Carl?’

‘Yea.’

‘Whenever you’re ready.’

‘He’s handing out the tests right now.’

‘Okay.’

‘Here we go. First question . . . ‘

Forty-five minutes later Carl was handing in the test and walking out of the classroom. As he walked into the lounge, I heard him think, ‘So, how do you think we did?’

‘Good.’, I thought, ‘There were only two questions that I wasn’t one-hundred percent sure about.’

‘So, not bad.’

‘Nope. I feel good about it.’

‘Oh. You know that red head that sits across the isle from you.’

‘What about her?’

‘She really likes you.’

‘What did you do? Read her mind.’

‘I didn’t have to. I could tell by the way she looks at you.’

On the way back to the house Carl removed the spell, but just before he did, he thought, ‘I want you so bad right now.’

I looked at him, grinned, and thought, ‘Stop being so bad. You’re beginning to think like a guy.’

4. Did I really say that?

When we got back to the house, Faith’s mother, grandmother, and aunt, where already back. As we walked in her mother looked at me, and asked, “Young lady. What’s going on? Why isn’t the shop open?”

Carl said, “Mom. That’s Carl. I’m over here.”

She looked at him, back at me, then back at him, and said, “Just what is going on!?”

“It’s a long story.”

“We’ve got the rest of the day.”

“Can you do something for us first?”

“What?”

“Switch us back into the right bodies.”

“I guess I’d better.”

Faith’s mother concentrated for a second. There was the flash of light again and I was looking at Faith body. So, I must be in my body.

“Now.”, Faith’s mother asked, “What’s going on?”

Faith went on to tell the three women the whole story including where we had been. I knew she didn’t like telling on her sister. But, her mother needed to know.

When Faith was done, her mother asked, “Do you know where she is?”

“No.”, Faith replied, “She didn’t come home last night, and we couldn’t find her.”

“I’ll find her. I know that she feels about her boyfriend almost the same way you feel about Carl. So, I don’t know what to do with her.”

“Mother!”

“Honey. We couldn’t miss the signs of how you and Carl feel about each other. Why do you think we didn’t mind him spending the weekend?”

I could tell that Faith was a little embarrassed by what her mother said. And, so was I. Actually I was very uncomfortable.

Her mother continued with, “We’ll find Rachel. You and Carl open the shop. And, if he would like, he’s welcome to stay for dinner.”

As Faith and I were opening the shop, I said, “It feels good to be back in my own body.”

With a fake little pout, Faith said, “So, you didn’t like being me?”

“I didn’t say that. I just said it feels good to be back in my own body.”

“Would you do it again?”

“I don’t know. . . . Maybe.”

That evening, after dinner, I met Aunt Hyacinth. I hope I never get this woman mad at me. She comes across as very strict. When I was introduced to her, she looked me over very closely, and said more than asked, “So, you’re the one that has stolen my great-niece’s heart?”

I looked at Faith and the look on her face said it all. She wasn’t happy about what her great-aunt had just said and maybe was a little concerned about what my answer would be.

I got the feeling that this might be the beginning of the great inquisition and I didn’t want that. So, I looked Aunt Hyacinth directly in the eyes, and said, “Yes ma’am. I guess I am.”

“Well. At least you’re honest.”

“Yes ma’am. I guess I am.”

“And, just what are your intentions toward her?”

Faith took my hand and squeezed it. I knew she was worried about what I would say. But, I couldn’t help but be truthful and I said, “Hopefully to one day marry her.”

As I said this, I saw Faith’s mother look at me and smile, her grandmother nod her head, her Aunt Abbey frown, and Rachel’s eyes get big as she put her hands to her mouth. Faith squeezed my hand even harder.

“Really!”, Aunt Hyacinth said, “Young man, you are very honest and straight forward. I like you.”

As I smiled at her, I said, “Thank you ma’am. I like you too.”

As Faith was pulling me out of the room, she said, “Ah . . . Excuse us everyone. We have something to do.”

When we were out of ear shot of everyone, Faith turned me to look at her, and said, “Are you crazy? I can’t believe what you said to Aunt Hyacinth in front of everyone.”

“I was just being honest.”

“You . . . you were?”

“Yes.”

“Where . . . where you really asking me what I think you’re asking me?”

“What’s that?”, I said with a big grin.

“You brat! You know.”

“What?”

“Did you or did you not, in front of my family, just ask me to marry you?”

“Hm. I did? . . . Could I marry a Witch? . . . I don’t know if I could do that? . . . Mmm . . . Yea. I think I just might be able to do that.”

I got down on one knee, took both of Faith’s hands in mine, looked up at her, and said, “Faith. This has happened so quickly and it’s time. I love you with all my heart. Will you be my wife?”

She was down on her knees in a flash, wrapping her arms around me, and kissing me. When we broke the kiss, I asked, “I take it that was a yes?”

She took my face in her in her hands, looked at me, and said, “Carl you are so wonderful and I love you with all my heart. Yes. I’ll marry you.”

We kissed again.

“Think I should ask your mother?”, I asked.

“Ask her what?”

“For permission to marry you.”

Hand in hand we walked back into the livingroom. The four women, Faith’s mother, her grandmother, and her two aunts, were sitting, and they turned and looked at us. Rachel, who was standing, and I think getting a royal chewing out, also looked at us.

The look on Faith’s mother’s face told me that she knew what had just transpired between her daughter and me. And, when she asked, “Carl. Do you have something you want to ask me?” I knew she did.

“Yes ma’am. I guess I do.”, I replied.

“Would you like to do this in private?”

“No ma’am.”

She smiled at me, and I said, “Mrs. Brightman. Your daughter and I love each other very much. I’ve just asked her to marry me and she said yes. All we need now is your permission.”

The smile that Faith’s mother and grandmother had got bigger. I wasn’t sure about the look on Aunt Abbey’s face. I even saw a smile on Aunt Hyacinth’s face. But, Rachel was something else. She ran from behind the women, wrapped her arms around Faith, and said, “I’m so happy for you.”

Looking at her mother and hugging Rachel, Faith said, “Mom hasn’t said yes.”

“Honey.”, her mother said, “I couldn’t say no to you and Carl. I know how you feel about each other. The only thing that I ask, is that you sit down with him before you’re married and tell him all about yourself.”

“Even?”, Faith asked.

“Yes. Even that.”, then looking at me she said, “So, Carl, yes you have my blessing to marry my daughter.”

Faith broke the hug with Rachel, wrapped her arms around me, and kissed me. Then it was hugs all around. When Rachel hugged me again, she whispered, “I’m really sorry I did what I did. I was mad at Faith and hurt by my boyfriend, and I just did something that I shouldn’t have.”

I whispered back, “It’s all right. I really didn’t mind it. Besides it was interesting. And, thanks for setting the two of us up.”

Rachel pulled back a little, looked at me, smiled, then hugged me again, and whispered, “You’ll fit in this family just fine.”

Finally everyone left the two of us alone and we cuddled on the sofa. We sat there for a long time just holding each other. Finally I said, “Did Rachel go with your Aunt Hyacinth?”

“Yes. We may not see her for a while.”

“I hope not. She didn’t mean any harm. Besides, she’s the one that got us together. And, it was an interesting experience.”

“An interesting experience?”

“Sure. How often can a guy be a girl?”

Faith didn’t say anything, but looked at me, got that sly little smile of hers, and just cuddled closer.

I asked, “What?”

“Oh nothing.”, she replied.

“Tell me what nothing is about?”

“Are you sure?”

“Sure about what?”

“About not wanting to be a girl again.”

“I don’t know.”

“Remember mom telling me that I needed to tell you everything about me?”

“Yea.”

“Well, there’s something about the men in this family.”

“Something about the men?”

“Uh huh. You weren’t the first male in this family to be a girl.”

I sat there in silence as she told me the story of how her parents had met. How her father had learned about her mother being a Witch. About the football player that was a Warlock. How they had found out about an ancestor named Abigail and what had happened to her. About her mother talking her father into becoming Abigail. And, what they had done to the football player.

When she was done, I wasn’t able to say anything. I just sat there looking at her. Finally she said, “You believe me. Don’t you?”

“Yea.”, I said, “I believe you. I believe anything you tell me about this family. But, your father sure did spend a lot of time as this Abigail.”

“Yes. He does spend a lot of time as Abbey.”

When she said that it was like a light went on. Was Aunt Abbey really her dad? All I could say was, “Abbey?”

“Yes. Abbey.”

“Aunt Abbey?”

She just smiled and nodded yes.

“Your . . . Your Aunt Abbey is your dad?”

“Yes.”

I just sat there, looking at her, and thinking, ‘This family just gets stranger and stranger. What’s next?’ Then I said, “That explains some of her looks, like when I asked for permission to marry you.”

“Exactly.”

I sat there and looked at her some more. She finally asked, “Are you all right?”

“I think so.”, I replied, “I’m just trying to think this through. This family is so different and I’m just trying to understand everything that you just told me.”

“Too different?”

“No. If I didn’t love you so much, then yes. I’ve gotten use to you being a Witch. Maybe I’ll even get over swapping bodies with you. Being able to read your mind was actually fun. But, your Aunt Abbey really being your dad is totally off the wall. That is going to take me a while. But, . . . ”

“But?”

“You aren’t going to do any strange thing to me. Are you?”

She smiled, as she said, “Lover. No. You know I’m like my mother. I love to learn my art. But, I don’t openly practice it unless I need to. Rachel on the other hand gets herself into trouble.”

“Good. I don’t want to be some kind of strange thing.”

“I wouldn’t do that to you. I’d never use magic on you unless we talked about it first.”

I looked at my watch, and said, “It’s really late. I’ve got to go.”

“It’s too late to drive back to school tonight. Besides I want to spend another night with the male you.” Then with her sly little smile, she added, “That’s if you want to?”

“I want to . . . But, I don’t know. Now that I know about your dad.”

“It’ll be fine. She was upset when mom said that you could stay the weekend, but she got over it. Especially after mom reminded her about their college days.”

Later as we were cuddling together in bed, something hit me, and I said, “Wait a minute!”

“What love?”, Faith asked.

“Your Aunt Abbey. She was your dad. Right?”

“Is my dad. Yes.”

“Ah. Who did he swap bodies with?”

“He didn’t.”

“He didn’t?”

“No. Mom just changed him into Aunt Abbey.”

“Just changed him?”

“Yes. One of mom’s books has a spell, actually a series of spells, that will change a person.”

I laid there looking at her for a few seconds, then said, “So, there isn’t someone walking around in your fathers body?”

She smiled, and said, “No. He’s in his own body. It’s just been changed.”

I just shook my head.

“Love.”, Faith said, “Magic can be very strong. Could I change you into something really different, like a piece of clothes? Yes. It would be harder then just changing you into a girl. But, it’s something I could do. Would I do it? No. Not unless we discussed it first.”

“Do you understand everything there is about being a Witch?”

“No. And, I probably never will. I’m constantly learning new things. Learning how to do things better and easier.”

“Do all Witches have the same powers?”

“No. Some are very strong. The powers that my grandmother and Aunt Hyacinth have are very strong. Mom’s aren’t far behind, and Rachel and I are somewhere behind her. There are some whose powers are very weak. And, I like to think of it as an art. An art that I’m always improving on. Why all the questions?”

“You’ve got my mind working and I just want to know more. I want to know about my future wife.”

She smiled, and said, “I’ll tell you everything that I can. I really do want you to understand.”

“I know. And, I want to understand.”

She sat up a little, looked at me, smiled, bent down, and kissed me. That kiss led to more. Much more.

The next morning we went to the jewelry shop in town and picked out a very pretty engagement ring for her. As we were walking back to the book shop, she asked, “Do you mind if I design our wedding bands?”

“Is this another talent of yours?”

“I like to play around designing jewelry. It helps pass the time when the shop isn’t busy.”

“I don’t mind. In fact, I think it would be very nice.”

The following months were interesting. Every Friday after class I’d drive to Faith’s and spend the weekend. I became accepted as a member of the family, even by Aunt Abbey. In fact I became close to Aunt Abbey and we even talked about why she decided to stay a woman. I also learned more and more about Faith and her being a Witch.

Once school was out for the summer, I moved in with Faith and her family. The longer I was there, the more I felt a part of the family. Whenever Faith worked in the shop, so did I. I loved doing this. Along with spending time with her, it allowed me to look over books as they came in and I actually found a few that interested me.

5. A sad time.

One night as we were sleeping, Faith sat straight up in bed and screamed.

Of course this startled me wide awake, and I asked, “Honey. What’s wrong?”

“Something . . . Something just happen to my grandmother.”

“What?”

“She . . . She just died.”

“What!?”

“She just died.”

I didn’t ask how she knew. But, for some reason I knew she was right. We heard others in the house get up and we joined them in driving to her grandmother’s house. When we arrived at the house, her mother said, “Wait here and I’ll check on her.”

Faith’s mother went upstairs and was back in a few minutes, crying. She was able to only say, “She’s gone.”

That brought tears from everyone. Faith and I just held each other. She and her grandmother had been very close.

I won’t go into the details of the funeral that I witnessed, because I didn’t understand it. What did surprise me was that everything was in white. White candles, white alter, and white flowers. Faith’s mother later told me that white is the color of death and mourning, and in this case it is also a reminder of rebirth. As her mother was now in what they call Summerland waiting rebirth.

The funeral was held in a clearing in the woods and there were an amazing number of people there. As everyone stood in a circle around a caldron, the coven’s High Priestess and High Priest conducted a very interesting ceremony. At the end of the ceremony the High Priestess took a witch’s broom and stirred the caldron with it. A column of white smoke rose straight up from the caldron and when the Priestess released the broom, it rose into the column of smoke and disappeared.

This became more of a wake then a funeral. Everyone was talking about Faith’s grandmother. About the things she had done and the things she’d done for them. Faith wouldn’t let go of me, so I walked around with her as she talked to everyone. I heard some very interesting things.

As the funeral was breaking up, the High Priestess and Priest walked up to Faith. The Priestess handed Faith something wrapped in cloth. Faith looked at it, then at the High Priestess, and the High Priestess said, “Your grandmother’s Book of Shadows now comes to you. Use it as you use all of your powers. For good.”

“But, it should be burned?”, Faith asked.

“Yes. But, your grandmother willed it to you. To have until her return from Summerland.”

Faith unwrapped the cloth that was covering the book. She looked at the book and started to cry. The High Priestess put her hand on Faith’s shoulder, and said, “Your grandmother loved you as much as you loved her. Just remember, she is waiting in Summerland to be born again at the same time and in the same place as those who knew and loved her in life.”

Faith stopped crying and actually smiled a little. The first smile I’d seen since her grandmother had died.

Two days after the funeral, as Faith and I were working in the book shop we heard someone come downstairs and open the door. It was Rachel, and she said, “Faith. Mom would like you and Carl to come upstairs. And, she said to close the shop until we’re done.”

Faith and I closed the shop and went upstairs to the livingroom. Faith’s mother, Rachel, Aunt Abbey, and Aunt Hyacinth were there along with a man who I’d only seen a couple of times. He was a family friend and a lawyer. Faith’s mother said to us, “Hi kids. You remember Mr. Danson?”

“Of course.”, Faith said, “How are you Mr. Danson?”

“I’m fine. And, you?”, he replied.

“Still sad, but getting better. This is my fiancee Carl.”

“Yes I know. I met him at your grandmother’s funeral.”

Faith looked at her mother, and said, “Rachel said that you wanted to see us.”

“Yes honey.”, her mother said, “We need to read your grandmother’s will and I know that it involves you.”

“Me?”

“Yes honey.”

Faith and I sat there and listened to Mr. Danson read the will. I was totally surprised as to what I was hearing. Her grandmother had given Faith, her mother, and Rachel each a large sum of money. But, Faith had also been given not only her grandmother’s house and all it’s furnishings, but a number of investments.

When Mr. Danson had completed the reading the will, I looked at Faith and she was crying. I took her hand and held it. She whispered, “I’d do anything to bring grandma back.”

“I know.”, I said, “You loved her very much.”

Once she calmed down, Mr. Danson had her sign some papers and then handed her a set of keys. Most of the keys were normal, but one was a large old-fashioned key.

Later that day Faith and I walked over to her grandmother’s house. This house was one of the older two story houses in town and was right on the ocean. It had a covered porch that wrapped all the way around the house and the front door faced the ocean. There was also a widow’s walk.

As we stood on the porch, Faith just looked at the door. This was the first time that we’d been to the house since her grandmother’s death and I knew she was having a problem going in. I took the keys out of her hand, found the one that unlocked the door, and opened it.

I offered Faith my hand, and said, “Come on. I’m here for you.”

She took my hand, smiled a little, and walked with me into the house. I’d been here a number of times and just loved the way this house was decorated. We started walking around looking at everything. I could tell that some of the things were brining back memories to Faith. There were tears and smiles at the same time.

The first floor of the house had a large livingroom, a sitting room, diningroom, and a large, modern, eat-in country kitchen. The second floor had three bedrooms and two baths. There was an attic that was accessible from a stairway behind a door in the second floor hall. The widow’s walk was accessible from the attic using a steep stairway from the attic.

As we were looking around the second floor, Faith opened the door to the master bedroom and just stood there. This had been her grandmother’s bedroom. I stood behind her, with my hands on her shoulders, and whispered, “You don’t have to use this room.”

“I know.”, she said, “But, I think grandma would want me to. And, you can use one of the others.”

“What!?”

She turned around and was smiling. This was the biggest smile I’d seen in a while. And, I knew she was kidding about separate bedrooms. At least I hoped she was.

Then she said, “If you think I’d stay in this big bedroom by myself. You’re crazy.”

Then she got a serious look on her face, and said, “Lets go to the basement. There’s something that I need to show you.”

We walked down to the basement. It was a very nicely finished basement with most of it done like as a family room. I’d been down here a number of times, but something was different. Before there had only been one door off the family room, now there were two. The original door had led to the utility room where the washer, dryer, and furnace were.

The other door was a large old wooden door with an old padlock on it. Faith walked over to it, turned, looked at me, and in a very serious tone said, “You aren’t to tell anyone about what I’m going to show you. And, please never go into this room without me.”

I didn’t say anything and I knew she was very serious about what she had said.

She unlocked the padlock with the old key that she’d been given and then opened the door. Yes, it creaked as she opened it. She took my hand and we walked in. It was dark, but as soon as we walked in a large candle in each corner lit. Once my eyes became accustomed to the dim light I could tell this room might be something special.

Faith said, “This is where the coven meets.”

I nodded, and said, “I thought they met in the woods?”

“No. We only meet there for very special things.”

I saw a table in the middle of the room with a number of chairs around it. There was a book case with old books in it, and a large buffet against one wall with a number of interesting things on it. There were a number of things on the walls, including a large pentagram just like the one on the front door of the book shop. In one corner, behind a candle, was a witch’s broom.

As I looked at it, I said, “I thought you said that you didn’t ride a broom?”

She looked at me, smiled, and said, “I never said that.”

“So, do you?”

“I have. In the old days they did it a lot. We keep a broom around for ceremonies and special things.” Then as she reached out her left hand the broom floated to her, and she added, “But, I could ride it if I needed to.”

I looked at the broom, then at her, and said, “You continue to amaze me.”

She held the broom out to me, and said, “Here. Take it.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes. Go on.”

I carefully took the broom from her and it felt weightless. I also felt something, something I wasn’t sure of, but it was the same thing I’d felt the first time I had visited the book shop. She then said, “Let go of it.”

I let go of the broom and it just floated where I’d left it. Faith then waived her hand toward the corner and the broom went to the corner where it had been.

I asked her, “What did I feel when I touched the broom?”

“The broom is magic.”, she replied, “It was determining how strong your magic is.”

“Like none.”

“For now.”

Faith then showed me a couple of the books in the bookcase and as we were getting ready to leave, she turned and looked back into the room, then said, “I feel grandmas’ presence in here.”

“I can believe that.”, I replied.

I then felt a very serious mood come over Faith as she said, “There’s something else that she and I talked about that I need to ask you while we’re still here.”

“What’s that?”

“Grandma saw something special in you and I think I did too, but didn’t realize it at the time.”

“And?”

“I’d like to be your teacher.”

“My teacher?”

“Would you like to join the coven?”

“Become a Witch?”

“No a Wizard?”

“I . . . I thought that you had to be born into it?”

“Most are. But, a few aren’t. Some find out about the religion, find a coven, love what they find, find a teacher, and become a member.”

“So, I’d become a member of the coven as a Wizard?”

“Yes. But, you’d start out as a member of the Outer Court, or those who are learning the ways. Later you could join the Inner Court as a First degree member.”

“So, you look at it as a religion?”

“Yes. Because it is.”

“Where do you fit in the coven?”

“I’m a Third degree member and also a member of the Council of Elders.”

“Council of Elders?”

“The Council of Elders is made up of all those who have reached the Third degree.”

“So, you really are deep into this.”

“Very. In fact, I’m also the Maiden of the coven.”

“Which is what?”

“If you think of the High Priestess as the highest ranking Witch in the coven, I’m the second highest ranking Witch.”

“And, you want to be my teacher?”

“Yes.”

“I think it might be interesting. So, when do we start?”

“As soon as I talk with the High Priestess.”

She kissed me. Then as we walked out of the room the candles extinguished themselves. She closed and locked the door. Then she turned to me, and said, “When grandmother gave me the house, she also gave me the stewardship of the coven’s meeting place. And, I want you to please, please promise me that you’ll never go in there without me. It could be very dangerous for you if you do.”

I knew that she wasn’t kidding with me, and I answered, “I promise I won’t.”

When we were back upstairs, we went into the livingroom and sitting on the coffee table was the book that the High Priestess had given her at the funeral. She picked it up, unwrapped it, and said, “This is grandmas’ Book of Shadows.”

“Book of Shadows?”, I asked.

“It’s grandmas’ personal collection of magic, beliefs, spells, Witchcraft laws, and things like that. I have my own, but this one is special. And, she intrusted it to me.”

“So, it has a lot of power?”

“Yes. It’s very powerful. Grandmother knew a lot of special people, as you saw at her funeral, and they shared many things with her.”

“Wouldn’t it be dangerous if it fell into the wrong hands?”

“No love. First it will only open for its owner, and if anyone would happen to get it open they would only see blank pages.”

“Really?”

She opened the book and handed it to me. As I took the book the printing on the page faded away. I turned to another page and it was also blank. I handed the book back to her and the words reappeared.

Two days later we moved into the house. It’s a big house, but we both felt comfortable here. It’s also very old. It belonged to a sea captain who captained a sailing vessel.

A few days later the lawyer gave Faith a complete financial report of her inheritance. Faith and I sat at the kitchen table and went over the report and when we were done, I said, “Your mother and Rachel are very well off. And, you young lady. You are a very wealthy woman. Your grandmother, or someone, made some very wise investments. I just hope it wasn’t some Witchly insider trading.”

“It wasn’t.”, she said with a smile, “I knew there was a lot of money in the family somewhere. And, it’s ours. Not just mine.”

“No lover. It’s yours.”

“No. It’s ours. Or, will be ours as soon as we’re married.”

I could tell that there was something on Faith’s mind, so I asked, “What are you thinking?”

“I . . . I really don’t want to wait any longer. I want to be your wife.”

6. A happier time.

Now, I’ve never said much about my family and there isn’t much to say. We’re kind of estranged, and it’s mostly my doing. I don’t like to fly, so I very seldom went home. It’s a two-thousand mile trip and I just don’t like making it. I don’t even go home between school years. I’d find a job and take a few classes. When I told them that I was going to get married, it was anticlimactic and I knew that no one would come for the ceremony.

Two months after her grandmothers’ death, just like her parents, Faith and I were married in two ceremonies.

The first was just a civil ceremony with Faith’s mother, sister, Aunt Hyacinth, and the rest of the coven as witnesses. Aunt Abbey’s absence was unusual, but there was a man there that I’d never seen before. After the quick ceremony, in which we exchanged very plain gold wedding bands, Faith introduced me to the man by saying, “Honey. This is my father.”

I just stared and couldn’t say anything. But, he did, “Carl. You take good care of my daughter.”

I was finally able to get out, “Yes. . . . Yes sir I will.”

Faith was grinning, and said, “He won’t bite.”

“No I won’t.”, he said, “I just had to be here as her father for this.”

“I just wish someone had warned me.”, I whispered.

“I’m sorry, but I didn’t know until I saw him here.”, Faith said, “I guess they wanted it to be a surprise.”

That evening we had the second wedding, a Witch’s wedding. A Witch’s wedding really isn’t a wedding in the true sense of the word, but a binding ceremony or handfasting. It was very interesting. It was held in the woods at the same place as the funeral was, and there were a lot of people there. Faith was wearing a very pretty, black and red, satin gown. I found out later this was the same gown her mother had worn.

Our binding ceremony was preformed by the coven’s High Priestess and High Priest. At the very end of the ceremony, after we had shared wine and bread, there was a binding of our hands together, as the High Priestess said, “By the power vested in me by Lord and Lady, I now pronounce you husband and wife. May your love so endure that its flame remains a guiding light unto you.”

After the formal ceremony, Faith and I exchanged another set of gold wedding bands, the bands that she had designed. The rings were gorgeous. Each had a diamond in them and Faith said that she had based them on an old Celtic wedding ring that represented Avalon, the mystic isle of magic, but that she had added something special. I had to look very close to see what she had added. It was a pentagram cleverly hidden in the design.

I asked her, “Who made these for you.”

With that sly smile of hers, she said, “Magic works on inanimate objects too.”

I just shook my head.

We took a nice long honeymoon and then settled into married life.

The coven did meet at the house on a regular basis. There was Faith, Rachel, their mother, the High Priestess, the High Priest, a few other women, and a couple of men. Usually Aunt Abbey and I kept each other company during the meetings.

One night as Faith and I were cuddled in bed, she asked, “Have you ever thought of becoming a girl again?”

I had. It’s always been in the back of my mind ever since Rachel had swapped our minds. I had found it very interesting being a girl. And, I guess the way I said, “Ah . . . No. Not really.”, didn’t sound convincing.

“You have, haven’t you?”, Faith said.

“Ah . . . Kind of. Why?”

“Just wondering.”

“Why?”

“I thought you enjoyed being in my body?”

“It was interesting. Do you want to swap minds again?”

“No.”

“Then what?”

“I could change you into a girl. Like my mom does my dad.”

“Why?”

“I just thought that you might like to do it again. . . . Oh. Never mind. I’d shouldn’t have brought it up.”

She rolled over and went to sleep, leaving me to wonder why she brought this up and why I thought it might be interesting to do again.

All Hallows Eve was a month away. This was a special time for Faith, and this was going to be more special then even she knew.

Faith had been very diligent in my teaching and she had made it very interesting. One of the first things she taught me was the religion, which she practiced, was called the Old Religion. It’s the old witchcraft religion that has existed for hundreds of years and finds its roots in pre-Christian paganism of Europe. The more I learned about it, the more I liked it.

Then two weeks before All Hallows Eve, the High Priestess and High Priest of the coven were at our house meeting, in private, with Faith, Faith’s mother, and Aunt Hyacinth. When they came back into the livingroom I could tell, by the looks on their faces, that it had been a serious talk.

7. A High Priestess.

After Faith and I had said goodnight to everyone, I asked her, “Why so serious?”

Without a word, Faith took my hand and led me to the sofa. She sat down and pulled me down next to her. I looked at her and she still had a serious look on her face. More serious then I’d ever seen before. So, again I asked, “Okay. Why so serious?”

“The High Priestess is leaving the coven to start a new one.”

“What! Why?”

“The coven is too large.”

“Too large?”

“If a coven gets too big, a new one is started. And, ours, when you join, will be just too big. Thirteen is an ideal number and we’ve had more members than that for a while. So, the High Priestess is going to leave, take a few of our current members, and start a new one.”

“But, you’re all friends.”

“And, we still will be. There’s more.”

“More?”

“Yes. The High Priestess said that I should become the new High Priestess of this coven.”

“But, you’re one of the youngest members.”

“I know, and that’s what I said. But, she said that I was the most learned member and also one of the strongest. I’ve been the Maiden of the coven for a long time and I already know the ritual duties of the High Priestess.”

“What did your mother and Aunt Hyacinth say?”

“They agreed with the High Priestess. My mom also said, that with all the studying that I’ve done in the old books and how I’ve treated my art, that I was the obvious choice.”

I just sat and looked at her for a long time, then I asked, “What did you decide?”

“I didn’t.”

“Why?”

“Because I wanted to talk with you first.”

“So, what does all this mean?”

“It means that I’m responsible for teaching, preform the ceremonies, keeping the Holy Days, and things like that.”

“So, it’s a very important position?”

“Yes. That’s why I wanted to talk with you.”

“Love. I know that this is very important to you and if you want to do this, I’m completely behind you.”

She smiled, said, “I knew you’d say that.”, then kissed me.

When we broke the kiss, I asked, “How do you feel about it?”

“Nervous and a little scared.”

“Why?”

“It’s a very big step and a lot of responsibility.”

“With the support that you’ll receive from the coven, you’ll do great.”

“You think?”

“I know you will. So, when does all this happen?”

“Probably on All Hollows Eve. The coven has to approve it first.”

Faith then picked up her grandmother’s ‘Book of Shadows’, and said, “I wonder if this was an omen.”

“An omen?”

“Of this happening.”

“You think?”

“I do. This book has a lot of power. I felt something the first time I touched it. I wasn’t sure then, but I think I now know what it was.”

She cuddled up next to me and we sat there not saying a word.

Faith had been a great teacher and I was ready to become a member of the coven. She had also told me that it would be a while until I started learning magic, but it would come in time.

All Hollows Eve was an interesting time. The coven met in the woods at their usual place and there were two ceremonies. The first was the one that admitted me to the coven as a member of the Outer Court. The second ceremony was much more elaborate and solemn, and was held at Midnight. It was the one that made Faith the High Priestess of the coven. I can’t go into the details of either ceremony as they are very secret, but Faith looked stunning in her long black dress and black cape with a blood-red satin lining.

The next morning, as we were laying in bed, I was watching her sleep and I just thought about how proud I was of her and how much I loved her.

Faith spent a lot of time reading her grandmother’s book. I’d be reading at the same time that she would be, and I’d hear her say something like, “Hm.” I’d look up and see her smiling like she had just read something important. I think that this book not only provided her with a great deal of information, but was also a great comfort to her.

One Friday afternoon a few weeks later we were walking through the park and we stopped at our favorite bench. It was a little cool, so she cuddled up to me and we sat there quietly for a little while. Finally she turned and looked at me with that look that said she was planning something. So I asked, “What are you planning?”

“Planning?”. she replied, “I’m not planning anything.”

“Yes you are. What?”

“Do you want to do something special next week?”

“I don’t know. What?”

8. Aunt Hyacinth.

Faith had asked me if I wanted to do something special next week, and I had replied, “I don’t know. What?”

Her reply was, “Go visit Aunt Hyacinth.”

“What did I do wrong?”

With a big grin, she said, “Nothing lover. She has some things for me and I thought it might be nice to visit her for a few days.”

“You had me worried.”

“You have nothing to worry about. You made a great first impression on her and she likes you.”

“That’s good to know. When do you want to go?”

“Next week.”

Faith talked me into flying instead of driving. The drive was almost twelve hours, the flight only a couple. But, and she knew this, I was very nervous about flying.

As we were packing on Tuesday for our flight on Wednesday, without looking at me she said, “There’s something else I’d like to do before we leave.”

“What’s that?”, I asked.

“I found something in my grandmother’s book that I’d like to try.”

“And, that is?”

“Do you remember me telling you about the series of spells my mother uses to change my father into Abbey?”

I started getting an uneasy feeling about this, so as I replied, “Yes.”, I was thinking, ‘Where is this going?’

“I found a spell in my grandmother’s book that will do it all at once.”

“All at once?”

“Yes.”

“And?”

“You know that I like to learn things and practice my art.”

“Yea.”

“This . . . This is the first time that I’ve really needed to involve someone else.”

“Me?”

She finally looked at me, smiled that cute smile of hers, and replied, “Yes. You enjoyed being me. Didn’t you? Would you do it again? And, then go with me to visit Aunt Hyacinth as her?”

I looked over at her and thought, ‘It was fun and different. But, do I want to do it again?’ And, then I just asked, “Why?”

“I just thought it would be fun to visit Aunt Hyacinth as girlfriends. Besides, it would give me a chance to try the spell and for you to experience being a girl again.”

“Try the spell?”, I asked, “Aren’t you sure it’ll work?”

“It’ll work. Grandma would never put anything in her book that didn’t work.”

“I won’t be stuck as a girl. Would I?”

“No sweetheart. It can be reversed or I wouldn't even suggest it."

I looked at her for a few seconds. And, she just continued smiled at me. Then I asked, “How does this work?”

“I chant the spell while I visualize what I want you to look like. You go to sleep and wake up as what I visualized.”

“What you visualize?”

“Uh huh.”

“So, you’re going to turn me into an ugly girl?”

“Never. I already have an idea what you’ll look like.”

“What?”

“You’ll have to wait and see.”

I just looked at her some more. And, she just continued with her little smile.

“How do you change me back?”

“That’s the easy part. There’s a spell that reverses the first spell and changes you back to what you started as.”

“And, that’ll work?”

With an even bigger smile, she said, “Yes, love. It’ll work.”

“And, just when do you want to do this?”

“Whenever you’re ready for me to do it.”

“And, you really want me to go to Aunt Hyacinths’ as this girl?”

“Yea. I think it would be fun.”

“Fun? As two girlfriends?”

“Sure. You’d be able to see a little more what it’s like to be a girl. And, I’d have a girl friend to travel, shop, and have fun with.”

I thought, ‘She can be so damn convincing. It was fun last time, and why do I feel like it could be fun again?’ But, I said, “I’m not fun to be with?”

“Of course you are. But, having a girl friend to go to Aunt Hyacinths’ with would be a lot of fun.”

“We’ll see.”

I think she knew that she’d talked me into it. But, I wasn’t ready to admit it. As she turned back to her packing, she whispered, “I love you so much.”

I just stood here and looked at her for a minute, and then finished my packing.

That evening, as we finished cleaning up after dinner, she walked up behind me, wrapped her arms around me, nibbled on my ear, and whispered, “Are you ready?”

“Ready for what?”,I asked.

“You’ve forgotten already?”

“Forgot what?” I really hadn’t.

She turned me around and looked at me. I couldn’t keep a straight face, and she said, “You brat. You know what I’m talking about?”

“Yes. You really want to do this. Don’t you?”

“You know I do.”

“And, if I don’t like it, you’ll change me back right away?”

“Yes. But, I have a feeling that you’ll like it.”

“You do. Huh?”

With her cute little smile, she said, “Lover. I do.”

A few minutes later we were in the bedroom and I was laying on the bed completely naked. Faith was sitting next to me on the bed holding the Book of Shadows. And, I was getting nervous.

Faith looked at me, smiled, and said, “Lover. Relax. Everything will be fine. This is a very old and well tried spell.”

“I’ll try.”, I said, “Ah . . . Who else knows about this?”

“I talked to Aunt Hyacinth about it.”

“Why?”

“To see if she would mind if I brought a girlfriend.”

“A girlfriend that’s really your husband?”

“Yea.”

“And, what did she think of this?”

“She loved the idea and thought it would be fun.”

“Fun?”

“Sure. She likes having girls around.”

“Does your mom know.”

“Of course. They’re taking us to the airport tomorrow.”

“Oh . . . the airport. I’d almost forgotten about that.”

“Can we still do this?”

“I said I would.”

“Do you want me to give you a girl’s psyche? That way you’ll be a girl, have her feelings, and know how to act.”

“You can do that?”

“Sure.”

“Will I remember any of this?”

“You’ll remember everything. While you’re a girl, you’ll have the memories of your time as Carl. And, when we change you back you’ll remember everything you did as her.”

I laid there for a few more seconds, still nervous, but I finally said, “Go for it.”

Faith said, “Just close you eyes and relax.”

I did as she said. The relax part was hard. I heard her start to chant something. I became very sleepy, heard a buzzing sound, and fell asleep.

I don’t know how long I was asleep, but when I opened my eyes Faith was still sitting on the bed and smiling at me. She said, “Hi. You feel okay?”

I took stock of myself. I felt different, but not strange. I could tell that my current body was different then my male body had been. But, unlike when our minds had been swapped, it felt like it was the body that belonged to me. I sat up a little and looked at myself. I had breasts. A nice thin waist. My arms were thin, and my were hands small and feminine. My legs were long and my feet small. Where my male equipment had been, I was flat. The only body hair that I could see was down there and it was blond. My skin was a little darker, like a nice all over tan.

I finally replied, “Yea. I feel fine.”

My voice was very soft, feminine, and I thought sounded a little sexy.

Faith said, “You look really nice.”

With a smile, I said, “Proud of your work. Huh?”

“Go take a look at yourself.”

I got out of bed and walked over to the full length mirror. When Rachel had swapped our minds, it had felt really strange being in Faith’s body. But, this body felt natural. It felt like I’d been born in it.

I looked at myself in the mirror. My girl self. I had a very pretty face. Strikingly pretty blue eyes to go with my shoulder length blond hair. A small nose with a sexy little up turn. Thin, blond, nicely arched, eyebrows. Pouty lips. And, small ears. The ears already had earrings in them.

I also was able to get a good look at my body. It looked like a perfect female body. Nice breasts, a thin waist, broad hips, and long sexy legs.

Faith walked up behind me. Instead of me being a little taller then Faith, she was now a little taller than I was. We looked at each other through the mirror’s reflection, and she asked, “Like what you see?”

“Yea.”, I said, “Why don’t I feel strange like I did when Rachel did the mind swap?”

“Because you now have the psyche of a girl and know that this body is yours, because it really is.”

I looked at myself some more, also seeing Faith reflection. One thing I knew for sure was that I felt the same way about her as I did when I’d been Carl.

I turned around, wrapped my arms around her neck, stood on my toes, and kissed her. I broke the kiss, looked at her, and then she kissed me. A lovers kiss.

When we broke this kiss, I asked, “So, you can kiss me looking like this girl?”

She smiled, and replied, “Lover. I could even kiss you if you looked like a toad.”

“Lets don’t go there.”

“Don’t worry.”

“Why do I still feel about you the way I did when I was Carl?”

With a sly smile, she said, “I didn’t want to change everything about you.”

“When Rachel did the mind swap, we were still boy and girl. But, now it’s girl and girl.”

“So?”

“Maybe a little different?”

“Yea. But, I’m still me and you’re still you. Well almost you.”

“But, were both girls.”

“Do you want me to become a guy?”

“Ah . . . No. . . . Could you?”

“Yes. Do you have a problem with us kissing as girls? You did kiss me first.”

“I guess I did. Didn’t I. So, I guess I don’t.”

She smiled and kissed me again. The kiss did feel very nice, soft, and so good.

I finally walked over to my chest of drawers, took out a pair of panties and slipped them on. Then I put on a bra like I’d done it all my life. I found a pair of shorts and a nice top, and slipped them on. Then I slipped on a pair of mules with two inch heels, and the two of us went back down stairs.

As we walked into the kitchen, I stopped, looked at Faith, and asked, “What about the clothes that I packed?”

“What about them?”, she asked.

“There all guy stuff.”

“Lover.”, she said, pointing to herself, “Remember. Witch. There’s no guy stuff. Just cute girl things. Just like what’s in your chest of drawers and closet.”

“I should have known.”

I fixed us a cup of tea and we went out on the porch to watch the ocean. As we sat, I said, “Ah. You can’t call me Carl now. What’s my girl name?”

“You don’t know?”, Faith asked.

“Ah . . . Sidney? Is it Sidney?”

“Yes.”

“Why Sidney?”

“Your birth number is four and it’s one of the names that fit. You don’t like it?”

“No. It’s nice. I was just wondering.”

“I did something else.”

“What?”

“Think about flying to Aunt Hyacinth.”

I thought for a couple of seconds, then said, “What about it?”

“How did Carl feel about flying?”

“He’s afraid to fly. Why?”

“How does Sidney feel about it?”

“She loves to . . . Oh. . . . She’s not afraid to fly. She actually likes it.”

Faith smiled, and we cuddled together until it got too cold to sit out.

Some very interesting things happened that night in bed.

The following morning as we were getting ready, I slipped into a nice blouse and short skirt outfit. And, did my makeup like I’d been born doing it.

When Faith’s family stopped by to pick us up to go to the airport, it was interesting. They treated me just like I was a girl. The only thing that was said, was when Rachel gave me a hug at the airport, and she whispered, “I just knew that you’d make a pretty girl.”

After we were airborne Faith asked me, “How does it feel to fly?”

“No problem.”, I replied, “The worst time I had as Carl was with the take offs and landings. I use to close my eyes, grip the seat, and pray. But, just now I watched out the window and I felt fine.”

“I thought you wouldn’t have a problem.”

“Now. About last night.”

“What about it?”

“Where did all that come from?”

“Are you complaining?”

“Not in the least. But, I didn’t think you were built that way.”

“I’m built to make love to you.” Then as she touched my chest, she added, “I’m built to love who’s in here. The person who I love very much.”

The flight was uneventful and after we landed, we rescued our luggage and rented a car. The drive to Aunt Hyacinth’s house took about an hour and we arrived just before two. And, what a house. It was a very large old Victorian house. She met us at the door, with a big smile and hugs. The thing that struck me was how she was dressed. It was like a proper lady. A proper Victorian lady, in a very nice long dress with a high collar and long sleeves.

Then she held me at arms length and looked me over. She smiled, and said, “And, this must be Sidney.”

“Yes. Aunt Hyacinth.”, Faith said, “This is Sidney.”

“Well girls, lets get you settled in. Peter will get your bags and put them in your room. We’ll go into the sitting room and Martha will bring us something cold.”

“Thank you Aunt Hyacinth.”, I said. Then I asked, “Who are Peter and Martha?”

“My, aren’t we curious?”, Aunt Hyacinth said, looking at me, “They’re a live in couple that works for me. Peter takes care of the house and Martha does the cooking.

“Now, Sidney my dear, I really took a liking to you when I first met you or Carl, and I like this other side of you too. I know I came across a little strong back then, but you had won my favorite great-nieces’ heart and I wasn’t sure about you. But, now I know that she made a great choice.”

Faith and I just smiled.

When Martha brought in the drinks, she told Aunt Hyacinth that dinner would be ready at six. We sat and talked about various things including our flight, and I admitted to Aunt Hyacinth that I was finally comfortable flying. She looked at Faith, and said, “Is she ready for a broom?”

“Not yet.”, Faith replied, “But, it won’t be long.”

“A broom?”, I said a little surprised.

“Yes honey.”, Aunt Hyacinth said, “A Witch isn’t worth her salt unless she can handle the broom.”

“I see.”

“Don’t worry love.”, Faith said, “It isn’t hard.”

9. A formal dinner.

A little after four Aunt Hyacinth said, “My dears, why don’t you unpack and get ready for dinner.”

As she stood up, Faith said, “Yes Aunt Hyacinth.”

Faith offered me her hand and helped me stand. As we were walking out of the room Aunt Hyacinth said, “Remember girls. We dress for dinner.”

“Yes Aunt Hyacinth, I remember.”, Faith replied.

As we walked upstairs, I whispered, “Dress for dinner?”

“Yes. Dinners here are very formal. Other times she doesn’t care what we wear, but dinner is different.”

“But, we didn’t bring anything formal. Did we?”

“It’s not a problem. Aunt Hyacinth has everything that we’ll need.”

“It’ll fit me?”

“Sure. Remember. This is also a Witch’s house.”

Faith and I unpack, and put our things away. I was impressed with the clothes that I had for my girl self. Faith had chosen some very nice things. After we were done, I asked, “So, what do we wear for dinner?”

“Did you see how Aunt Hyacinth was dressed?”

“Yes.”

“Like that.”

“Really?”

“Like I said, dinner is always very formal. Also, the evenings if we’re staying in.”

“Oh.”

“Don’t worry love. There’s nothing to it.”

“So. What do we need to do?”

Before she could answer there was a soft knock on the door, and Faith said, “Yes?”

The door opened and it was Martha, who said, “Miss Faith. Miss Hyacinth wanted to know if you and Miss Sidney needed help dressing?”

“No thank you Martha. I think we can manage.”

“Just ring if you do Miss Faith.”

“Thank you Martha. I will.”

Martha closed the door.

I asked, “Need help dressing?”

“It takes someone to help you dress the way we need to for Aunt Hyacinth. But, I think we’ll be able to help each other.”

“It takes someone to help you get dressed?”

“You’ll see.”

“I don’t know if I want to.”

“It’ll be fine.”

I was beginning to worry a little bit about this dressing for dinner thing. Knowing how Aunt Hyacinth was dressed I figured that it might be along the same lines. And, I wasn’t far from wrong.

I watched as Faith removed some things from the chest of drawers and placed them on the bed. Then as she went into the closet and came back with two matching dresses and two pairs of shoes.

I asked her, “What’s all that?”

“What we’re wearing tonight.”, she replied.

I just looked at the clothes and tried to figure out what I was seeing. And, I wasn’t sure I liked what I was seeing. Then I said, “All of that?”

“Sure. Be happy you’re not here for one of her strict punishments.”

“It’s worse?”

“It is. Heavy cotton or wool dresses with high collars. High button shoes with really high heels. And, not just at dinner, but all day.”

She then picked a couple of things up off the bed. The one was easy to identify, a pair of black satin panties. The other item I wasn’t sure about. She handed them to me, and she said, “Go ahead and strip, put these on, and we’ll get started with the rest. Then you can help me.”

I took them from her and just looked at the one item.

She smiled, and said, “That’s a corset liner. You need to wear that to protect the corset and yourself.”

“A corset?”

“You’ll need it for the dress to fit properly. Besides it’s part of what Aunt Hyacinth calls, ‘dressing properly for dinner.’”

I undressed and slipped the panties on. They were satin and felt very nice. Then I looked at the corset liner, trying to figure out how to put it on. Faith again smiled, and said, “Just step into it and pull it up so that the top is right at your ribs.”

I did as she said. Faith then picked something up off the bed and turned around. I looked at it, and asked, “Is that the corset?”

“Good guess. When Aunt Hyacinth wants us dressed for dinner, it’s from the skin out.”

“But, do I really need a corset?”

“It goes with the dress and the rest. It’s no big deal.”

I have to admit that the corset was pretty. It was black and red, and was covered with a pretty design. I watched as she undid some sort of fasteners that looked to be very strong. She walked over to me, wrapped it around me and worked to close the fasteners up the front of the corset. As she did, she said, “This is called a busk and makes it easy to put it on.”

She adjusted it so it just covered my breasts, and commented that this type of corset was called an overbust corset.

Then she walked behind me and I felt her start to pull on something, and the corset started getting tighter. As she was doing this she said, “Since this is your first time, we won’t make it too tight or use the bar.”

I said, “Is it really necessary. It’s really too tight.”

“Yes honey. It’s necessary. And, it could be a lot tighter.”

“You’re kidding me?”

“No. I haven’t made it that tight. When you do mine, I want you to make it as tight as you can.”

“You like doing this?”

“Sure. Now, take a deep breath.”

I took a deep breath, I felt her pull some more, and it felt like I was being squeezed in a vise. Then, she said, “All done. Go look in the mirror.”

I walked over to the mirror on the closet door and looked at myself. I knew my girl’s body had a slim waist, but now it was small. My breasts were pushed up, showing some real cleavage, and my hips were more pronounced.

“You like it?”, Faith asked.

“I don’t know.”, I replied, “It gives me a great shape, but it’s really tight and a little hard to breathe.”

“Is it too uncomfortable?”

“I guess not. It’s tight, but not bad.”

“We can get it even tighter.”

I turned around, looked at her, and just shook my head no.

Then she said, “Run your garters down through your panties, then sit on the bed and I’ll help you with your nylons. Then you can help me into my corset.”

“Run my garters through my panties. Why?”

“So, if you really have to use the restroom you won’t have to undo your garters.”

“I guess that makes sense.”

I did as she asked, then walked over and carefully sat on the bed. The corset made me sit up very straight and it felt like it got tighter.

She carefully rolled the nylons up my legs and told me how to fasten the front garters. Then she helped me stand and she fastened the other four.

Faith then undressed and slipped on a pair of panties that matched mine. Then she stepped into her corset liner and adjusted it. She took her corset and wrapped it around herself, fastened the busk, and adjusted the corset so it just covered her breasts.

“All right love.”, she said, “It’s your turn to lace me into this thing.”

“How do I do it?”, I asked.

“Start at the top and work toward the middle pulling the laces like you do on a pair of shoes. Then do the same thing from the bottom toward the middle. And, when you think it’s tight enough, do it again. Then tie the laces in a bow. Think you can do it?”

“I’ll try.”

I started tightening the laces and got it to where I thought it was tight enough. I asked Faith, “Is that tight enough?”

“For a start. Lets go to the closet and we’ll finish.”

“The closet?”

“You’ll see.”

We walked over to the closet, she picked up a bar and placed it into two fixtures in the door frame. Then she said, “This is used to help get the corset tighter.”

“How?”, I asked.

“I hold on to it and take a deep breath. While I’m doing that, you tighten the laces.”

“Okay.”

We did this and I was amazed. I was able to pull the fabric together all the way along the back of the corset. When I had it tied off, Faith let go of the bar and slowly lowered her arms. As she did, she slowly felt her waist.

I asked, “Isn’t that too tight?”

“No. I like it this way.”

I stood back and looked at her. I was amazed at how small her waist was.

She walked over to the bed and it was amazing how easily she was able to move in the corset as she put on nylons and fastened the garters with ease. As I watched her I started feeling something and I guess it showed. Faith looked at me, smiled, and asked, “Something wrong?”

“No.”, I replied, “But, that was so sexy.”

“Sexy?”

“Yea. Just the way you put those nylons on.”

With a big grin, she just said, “I know.”

“You’ve done this a lot haven’t you?”

“I love to visit Aunt Hyacinth. She started corset training me when I was twelve and I’ve learned to love it. Before we started living together, I visited her almost every month or so, even if it was only for a day or two.”

“And, it wasn’t for punishment?”

“No. She made it fun.”

“Fun wearing a corset?”

“Yea. I enjoy the feeling and the look.”

“I always thought you had a great figure. But, I’m just as amazed as to how small your waist is.”

She smiled, and said, “We’d better hurry up or were going to be late for dinner. And, we don’t want to do that.”

“Why?”

“You don’t want to find out.”

I watched as she put on a pair of white granny boot with three inch heels, then she handed me a matching pair. I tried to put them on, but couldn’t bend far enough. So, she helped me put them on.

Then came a half-slip and our matching dresses. They were a floor length, sleeveless, dark blue satin. And, all I could think was that these dresses were drop dead gorgeous. There were no zippers on the dresses only a lot of small buttons up the back. After I slipped into my dress, Faith buttoned all the buttons. Then I helped her with her dress.

I looked in the mirror and the dress just covered the top of the corset and showed a lot of cleavage. I guess Faith had really given me a girl’s psyche, because I just loved how I looked. But, then it hit me, makeup, and I said, “Our makeup?”

“Get busy or we’re going to be in trouble!”

I guess the girl in me kicked in. I went to the dressing table and went to work. As I did, I said, “I assume an evening look?”

“Right on girlfriend.”, Faith replied.

When I was finished, I turned to Faith and asked, “Well?”

She looked at me, and said, “I couldn’t have done better.”

“I’ve never done it before.”

“I told you that you’d be a girl when I changed you.”

As we were just about to walk out the door, Faith said, “Jewelry!”

“Jewelry?”

She ran over to the dresser and opened a drawer. She took out two strands of pearls, handed me one, and said, “Put these on me.”

I quickly fastened the clasp behind her neck. Then she did the same for me.

The skirts on the dresses were straight and tight, so we had to lift them to walk down stairs. We walked into the dining room just as the grandfathers’ clock in the sitting room started striking six. Aunt Hyacinth was already there waiting for us. She smiled, and said, “My girls, don’t you look lovely.”

Together, Faith and I said, “Thank you Aunt Hyacinth.”

Looking at Faith, Aunt Hyacinth said, “Doesn’t it feel good to be back in corsets.”

“Yes, Aunt Hyacinth, it does. I missed it.”, Faith replied.

“You need to do it more.”

“I know and I will.”

Then looking at me, Aunt Hyacinth said, “And, Sidney, how does it feel to be corseted.”

“Interesting and different. I love the feeling of the nylons tugging on the garters. And, I may even get use to the tightness of the corset.”

“The love of corsets is a learned thing. Isn’t it Faith dear?”

“Yes, Aunt Hyacinth. It is.”, Faith replied.

“You need to work with Sidney. She may learn to like it.”

Looking at me with a big smile, Faith said, “That could be fun.”

Peter helped us with our chairs. It was hard sitting in the corset. It made you sit up straight and I found it was easier to sit forward on the chair.

We enjoyed a nice meal and chatted with Aunt Hyacinth. I also learned that with a corset on you can’t eat or drink much. As we were finishing desert, Faith asked, “Aunt Hyacinth. Do you mind if I show Sidney around town tonight?”

“No my dear.”, Aunt Hyacinth said, “I have a special meeting of the Council of Elders to attend. So, you two enjoy yourself.”

“Thank you Aunt Hyacinth.”, Faith and I said together.

Then Faith asked, “May we be excused?”

“Yes you may my dears. Also, I’m not going to be home all day tomorrow. But, Peter and Martha will be here for anything you need. And, I’ll see you the day after.”

As we got up, we both said, “Thank you Aunt Hyacinth.”

“Good night girls.”

“Good night Aunt Hyacinth.”

When we were back in our room, I asked Faith, “Why do I feel that I have to be so formal around Aunt Hyacinth?”

“It’s just the way she makes everyone feel.”, Faith answered, “When you first met her, you really impressed her by standing up to her the way you did. No one stands up to her like that. I was really worried, but she took it very well.”

“I do like her.”

“I know. She likes you too.”

We looked at each other for a couple of seconds, then just grabbed each other and shared a very long, deep, kiss. I loved feeling Faith’s body in the satin dress.

Why am I feeling like this? I’m a girl. She’s a girl. Why do I want to make love to her right here and how? Maybe it was my guys’ psyche sneaking in?

I think Faith might have been feeling the same way, because as we broke our clinch she said, “We’d better get changed and out of here, or we’re not going to.”

I unbuttoned the buttons down the back of her dress, then turned around and she unbuttoned me. We slipped out of the dresses and half-slips, and hung them up.

Then Faith said, “Turn around and I’ll unlace you.”

I don’t know why, but I just said, “No.”

“No?”

“I think I want to wear it a little longer.”

“You do!?”

“I ‘m kind of getting use to it.”

“Starting to like it?”

“I’m not sure. But, maybe.”

“Turn around and let me check something?”

As I turned my back to her, I asked, “Check what?”

“You’ve had it on for almost two hours and it may need tightening.”

“Really?”

“As you wear it, you get use to it and it loosens up a little. Also, you really shouldn’t wear it more than a couple hours the first few times. But, . . . “

I felt Faith check the lacings and she finally asked, “Do you want it tighter?”

“How much?”

“Oh. Not that much.”

“Go ahead.”

I felt her untie the bow and start tightening the laces. Then she said, “Lift your arms over your head.”

I did as she asked. Then she said, “Now inhale and hold it.”

Again, I did as she asked. I felt her really pull on the laces, then retie the bow. Finally she said, “Okay lover. You can relax.”

I let out my breath and lowered my arms. God was that tight. I had to breathe from the top of my chest.

Faith asked, “Is that tight enough?”

“I . . . I don’t know if I can move.”

“You’ll get use to it.”

“Sure I will.”

“You will.”

I slipped into a cute long skirt and a very nice off the shoulder top. Faith also left her corset on and, put on a knee length skirt and a cute top. We both left our granny boots on.

We quickly freshened our makeup and were out of the house for the rest of the evening.

Faith showed me around the town where Aunt Hyacinth lived. There were some very interesting old places and some interesting shopping areas. It was too close to closing time to really shop, so we decided that we’d come back tomorrow and really go shopping.

We stopped at a very nice coffee shop for a cup of tea and as we were sitting there, Faith asked me, “Is the corset any better?”

With a grin, I said, “What corset?”

“Is it that comfortable?”

“Not really. I don’t think I’d want to wear it all the time, but I’m beginning to like the feeling of being sensually squeezed.”

She just smiled and shook her head.

10. Two girls and a guy?

That night as Faith was helping me out of my corset, I asked her, “Why do I feel about you the way I do?”

“What do you mean?”, she asked.

“I’m a girl right now and you’re always a girl, and I want to make love to you so bad.”

“What’s wrong with that?”

“Two girls?”

“So, do you love me?”

“You know I do.”

“Do I love you?”

“Yes.”

“Have we done it before as two girls?”

“Yea.”

“How was it?”

“Wonderful.”

“And, . . . “

I turned around, looked at her, kissed her, then said, “I wish your corset had a zipper on it?”

“Why?”

“So, I could strip it off of you right now.”

She turned around, and said, “Get busy lover.”

As soon as I had her corset off and she had stripped off her corset liner and her panties, she grabbed me and gave me a long very deep kiss. Feeling our naked bodies touching really began to do things to me. Our hands found each others breasts at about the same time, and . . .

The next morning I woke up before Faith did, so I just laid there and watched her. Finally she started to stir and I kissed her. She opened her eyes, smiled, and said, “Good morning lover.”

“Good morning love.”, I replied.

“Did we do the things last night that I think we did?”

“Yes and more.”

“As two girls?”

“Yes.”

“Were you all right with it?”

“Why, is there something wrong with it?”

Her smile got bigger as she said, “Not in my book. And, not as long as it’s only with you.”

Somehow we got out of bed without attacking each other and got dressed. No corsets, but some very cute things.

We decided to go shopping and grab a late lunch at a riverside cafe that Faith knew. As we were leaving the house, Martha asked, “Miss Faith. Miss Sidney. Would you like me to make you some lunch?”

Faith replied, “No thank you Martha. Sidney and I are going shopping and we’ll catch a bite in town.”

“Very well Miss. Will you be home for dinner?”

“Yes. But, it may be late. Could you prepare something that we could just warm up when we get back?”

“Yes Miss. That would be no problem.”

“Thank you Martha.”

“You’re welcome Miss. Have a pleasant day.”

Faith and I went down to where the shops were and we were in and out of every one of them. It was late when we stopped for lunch, but the cafe was still busy. We were lucky and got a table by the river, and we watched the boats go in and out of the harbor while we waited for our meals.

After we’d finished eating, we sat there sipping on a second drink. Faith had become a little quiet, and was just playing with her straw and not looking at me. I knew she had something on her mind and she would tell me when she was ready. So, I just watched her and waited for her to tell me.

Finally without looking at me, she asked, “Would you be willing to do something?”

“That depends on what it is.”, I replied.

Looking at me, she asked, “Stay Sidney for a couple of days after we get back home?”

“Why?”

“I . . . I want to do something.”

“What?”

“I . . . I . . . I want to . . . “

“What to what love?”

“I want to be guy again.”

“A guy?”

“Yea.”

“Why?”

“It was very interesting when my mind was in your body and I want to try it again. Like you have with being a girl.”

“You liked being a guy?”

“In a strange sort of way. But, I just want to know a little more what it’s like to be a guy and not just in bed.”

“What did you like?”

“The power I felt.”

“But, being a Witch, you have a lot of power.”

“I know. But, it’s different.”

“Different. How?”

“I’m not sure. But, I know that when I made love to you I felt things I’ve never felt before and I’d like to experience it again.”

“Don’t want to be a boy. Do you?”

“No. Do you want to be a girl?”

“I’m having fun being Sidney right now. It’s interesting to see what it’s like and it’s been an eye opener. But, I’m missing our Carl and Faith time.”

“Me too.”

The next two days at Aunt Hyacinths’ were fun and interesting. Every day Faith and I enjoyed each others company exploring the town and the area around it. Every evening that we had dinner with Aunt Hyacinth, it was fully dressed, corset, nylons, long dress, proper makeup, and jewelry. On our last night with her, my dress was a very pretty, high necked, long sleeved, floor length gown in a maroon colored satin. The neck was very ornate and made out of pearls. Faith had put me in a very sever overbust corset, it was very tight and it forced me to sit very erect. I didn’t think I’d ever say this, but being dressed this way made me feel very feminine.

After dinner, the last day, we were in the sitting room chatting with Aunt Hyacinth over a glass of wine. Aunt Hyacinth looked at me, and said, “My dear. You have really surprised me. You have stayed as Sidney for your whole visit. You must be comfortable as this girl?”

I looked at Faith, then at Aunt Hyacinth, and said, “I don’t know if I’m comfortable as Sidney, but it’s been a very interesting experience. You and Faith have made it fun and a learning experience. I’ve seen how girls are treated by others, perceive things, and feel about things.”

“Fun? My dear, I would have thought that seeing a corset for the first time might have frightened you a little.”

“Frightened? No. But, I wasn’t too sure that I could wear it for long. But, once Faith had me laced into it and I got use to it, it wasn’t that bad.”

“Well my dear. The corsets and dresses that you wore while you were here are yours.”

“Aunt Hyacinth! I can’t accept those.”

“Yes my dear. I want you to have them. If you ever become Sidney again, you will need something pretty to wear.”

“But, . . . “

“No buts my dear. They are yours. I’ll have Martha pack them for you before you leave.”

I just looked at Faith, she smiled, and said, “Love. Aunt Hyacinth loves giving things away and I know you love the dresses. So, just accept them in the spirit that they’re given.”

I looked back at Aunt Hyacinth, and said, “Thank you very much Aunt Hyacinth. What can I do to thank you?”

“Nothing my dear.”, Aunt Hyacinth said, “You are already doing it. You are making my grand-nice very happy. Will I see my newest grand-niece again?”

“You might. You just might.”

The following morning we caught an early flight home. During the flight I was in deep thought until Faith whispered, “Honey. What are you thinking about?”

“Oh.”, I whispered back, “Ah . . . Just the past few days.”

“What about them?”

“Just how interesting they were. I think I’ve learned a lot about what it’s like to be a girl.”

“Did you like it?”

“Like I told Aunt Hyacinth, it was actually fun. I was worried the first time you put me in a corset. I wasn’t sure I could wear it or if I’d even like it.”

“But, you did.”

“I . . . I guess it made me feel more feminine. Even though I know I’m really a guy.”

“Would you do this again?”

I looked at her, and replied, “Only if it would make you happy.”

“Love. It has to make both of us happy.”

“I know.”

That afternoon as we were unpacking our things. I opened the case that Martha had packed and started hanging up the dresses and putting the corsets away. Then in the bottom of the case I found two pairs of shoes, the two pairs of very fancy granny boots that I’d worn. I said, “Your Aunt Hyacinth is something else.”

“Why?”, Faith asked.

“She also gave me the shoes that I wore.”

“She really does like you.”

I looked at her, and asked, “Which me?”

“Aren’t you really the same person no matter if you’re Carl or Sidney. She sees the good in you. You’re willingness to love me even though I’m a Witch, to try new things, and to be who you are.”

“Who am I?”

“Who are you? You’re Carl. Who loves me. Puts up with me. Who isn’t afraid to try new things. Who I love with every ounce of my being. And, is a very special person.”

“I’m not Sidney?”

“No. You’re not Sidney. But, I think Sidney is a part of you when you want her to be. I may have given you a girl’s psyche. But, it’s the psyche that you’d have if you were really a girl. But, under it all you’re still my Carl.”

“And, you want me to stay as Sidney for a few more days?”

“Only if you want to.”

“And, you’re going to become a guy?”

“I’d really like to try it again.”

“Then I’ll stay Sidney for you. . . . Wait a second! Who’s going to cast the spell for you?”

“No one. This spell I can use on myself.”

“I didn’t think you could do that.”

“Grandmas’ book has a lot of things in it that I never knew and I don’t think mom did either. This spell allows me to change myself into almost anything.”

“You can change yourself back. Can’t you?”

With a big smile, she said, “Yes love.”

“Did your mother ever become a man for Aunt Abbey?”

“I don’t think so. I don’t think she knew about this spell, so someone would have had to change her.”

“When do you want to do this?”

“After dinner.”

As she lay on our bed completely naked, Faith said, “Honey. This doesn’t take long. I hope you’ll be happy with what you see.”

“You really want to do this?”, I asked.

She smiled, and said, “Yes.”, and started chanting the spell. As she said the last word, she fell asleep.

I stood there and watched as her very sexy female body slowly changed into an equally sexy and muscular male body. It was like a movie in slow motion. Things happened to various parts of her body all at once. Her face became masculine and handsome. Her chest became broader and her breasts changed into a muscular chest. Her waist became thicker. Her hips narrowed. Her arms became heavier and her hands bigger. Her legs also became heavier and her feet bigger. And, it looked like she gained about eight or nine inches in height.

What happened between her legs really kept my attention. Watching her male equipment grow really fascinated me and I just stared. I guess it fascinated me a little too much, as I was startled when I heard a male voice say, “Like what you see lover?”

I turned and looked at what had been Faith’s face, and nervously replied, “Ah . . . I . . . Ah . . . “

“Don’t worry lover. I did the same thing when I changed you. Seeing your male equipment change into a woman’s was very interesting.”

The face I was looking at was a very handsome male face. And, if there was such a thing as love at first sight . . . Or, maybe it was because I knew it was Faith. But, I loved this person. This guy. I sure hoped it was my female psyche doing this.

I said, “Put on some clothes and I’ll be downstairs.”

Patting the bed, he said, “Why? You could just crawl in here with me?”

As I walked toward the door, I looked over my shoulder, smiled, and said, “I’m not that kind of girl.”

“That’s not what Faith tells me.”

I spun around, put my hands on my hips, and said, “You just wait until I see her! I’ll be on the porch.”

I turned back around and walked out of the bedroom. Ten minutes later he walked out onto the porch. Where he’d found the clothes he was wearing I didn’t know. Oh. Yea. I guess he is a Wizard. Anyway, he was wearing a pair of shorts and a tight T-shirt.

He walked over and sat in the deck chair next to mine. I looked at him, and said, “You sure picked a great look.”

“I thought you’d like it.”

“So, who are you?”

“Allen.”

“Allen?”

I looked at him for a few seconds, smiled, and said, “I kind of like that.”

“I thought that it went good with Sidney.”

“So, I can tell by your attitude that you gave yourself a strong male psyche.”

“Why not. I really want to know what it’s like to be a macho guy.”

“What if I don’t like macho guys?”

“Oh. I think you’ll like me.”

“Is that so?”

“Sure love. Girls love a macho guy.”

“Maybe they do. Maybe they don’t.”

“I’ve always heard that they do.”

“We’ll see. Mister macho.”

We sat there until it started getting cold. I got up to go inside, and as I walked past Allen he grabbed me and pulled me down on his lap.

I struggled, and said, “Don’t do that!”

“Why not.”, he said, “I can warm you up.”

“All I need is a sweater.”

“But, I’ll bet this will work quicker.”

He pulled me close and tried to kiss me. I struggled and turned away. He continued trying to kiss me. I continued to struggle. He kissed my neck. My shoulder. My cheek. I struggled to get away from him, but he was much stronger then I was. In fact I think he’s stronger then Carl. He finally found my lips and his kiss was like fire. At least it lit my fire.

The longer we kissed, the more I melted into his arms. I finally wrapped my arms around his neck and found myself returning his kisses with as much passion as he was giving them. These kisses became more and more passionate and we finally started undressing each other. He had my tank top and bra off in no time. His T-shirt was so tight that I ripped it getting it off. His hands felt good on my breasts and he knew just what he was doing. I hoped he was enjoying what I was doing as much as I was enjoying what he was doing.

Finally I couldn’t take it any longer. I got up off his lap, took his hand, and pulled him up off the chair. I was going to drag him upstairs to our bedroom, but I didn’t get a chance. He swept me off my feet, threw me over his shoulder, and carried me up to the bedroom.

He set me down, and I lost no time in stripping his shorts off of him. He hadn’t bothered putting on any underwear or I’d would have had that off in no time. As I knelt there, I looked at his male equipment and he was big. Bigger then I am, or my male self is, and he wasn’t even fully erect yet. Something inside me told me that I wanted him.

He reached down and helped me to my feet. Then he started to kneel down. He paused at my breasts and I enjoyed what his lips did. When he finally knelt on the floor, he quickly removed my shorts and panties. I’m glad I was close to the bed, because what he started doing with his lips and tongue was completely unbelievable. I fell backwards onto the bed. My head was swimming and my body was starting into sexual overload.

Eventually he joined me on the bed and what happened then was out of this world. The way he used his hands, his lips, and his tongue, just drove me wild. I returned his love, and I could tell that he really enjoyed what I did. Again, I did things that I never though I could do, at least when I was Carl. When we finally consummate our love, I saw fireworks and passed out. And, that was just the first time we made love that night.

There was something completely different making love this time compared to when we had our minds swapped. Back then it was hard getting over making love to your own body, but it was still a very interesting experience. Now I was in my own body, even though it was a feminine version and with a girl’s psyche. Having intercourse with Allen was an amazing experience. And, I think Allen felt the same way.

Allen really surprised me. And, I surprised myself. We enjoyed each other three times that night and they were long sessions. No, wham, bam, thank you ma’am. But, very long, very enjoyable sessions. We spent a long time bringing pleasure to each other. The only thing that Allen insisted on was being on top each time.

The following morning when I woke up, he was sleeping like a baby. So, I carefully got out of bed, slipped on a robe, and went downstairs. I made a cup of tea, went out on the porch, and sat at the table. My mind was going in many directions.

Last night I’d had sex with my wife who was now a guy named Allen. Of course I was a girl called Sidney. I had really wanted him to make love to me. I was completely turned on by him from the first second I saw him. I was even going to seduce him last night, but he had beaten me to it. I really loved everything that we had done. What was I feeling? Was it the girl’s psyche in me? I did feel love for him. The same love that I felt for Faith. And, I wanted more of him.

A short time later I heard Allen walk up behind me. I felt him move my robe off my shoulders and start to massage them. His hands were strong, but gentle. It felt good. He finally bent down, kissed my cheek, and whispered, “I love you.”

I turned to look at him, smiled, and said, “I love you too.” And, I kissed him.

When we broke the kiss, he looked at me, and asked, “What’s wrong.”

“I’m not sure anything is.”, I replied, “Just like last time, I’m trying to figure out why I feel the way I do. I know I’m Carl. I know you’re Faith. But, I know that I love Allen as much as I love Faith. I also know I loved being the girl last night. And, I loved what we did. What I felt. But, why?”

Allen pulled up a chair and sat. He looked at me, and said, “You’re feeling what a girl feels, just like I’m feeling what a guy feels. Even though I gave you a girl’s psyche, you still have Carl’s memories and some of his feelings. Those can’t be erased unless I change the spell, and then you wouldn’t remember anything about being a girl when I change you back.

“I think what’s happening, is that your male psyche is also feeling what’s happening to your female body and it’s causing some confusion. I’m feeling a bit of that myself. I know that last night I was feeling all male. Maybe it was the hormones, or the passion, or both.

“But, if it’s bothering you too much we’d better switch back.”

I looked at him, thought for a minute, then said, “No. I’ll be fine. You became a guy to find out what’s it’s like. You wanted to do that. And, I’ll be Sidney as long as you want.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes. I’ll be fine. I just needed a little reassurance.”

“As long as you’re all right. I don’t want to hurt you.”

“I know. I’m fine.”

Today we did things as a couple. We went shopping, not for clothes, but for groceries. We walked around town and Allen actually did some guy things. As we were walking through one park, a couple of kids were playing catch and one of them missed the ball. It rolled up to where we were, Allen picked it up, and tossed it back like he’d done it a hundred times before. We looked at cars. And, went into the one store we’d never really visited, the hardware.

We also spent some time at the beach, me in a two piece and him in a skimpy Speedo. Then we went to dinner at one of the restaurants in the tourist area. The looks that Allen was getting from some the girls and women bothered me. And, I guess it was starting to show, as Allen said, “Lover. What’s bothering you?”

“Nothing!”, I replied, “Why?”

“The way you’re looking at some of the girls. It’s like you want to kill them.”

“Oh. That. I just don’t like the way some of them are looking at you.”

“A little jealous are we?”

“No.”

“I think you are. Don’t you think I am?”

“You’re jealous of what?”

“Haven’t you noticed the way some of the guys are looking at you?”

“Ah. No. Not really.”

“They have been and I’m a little jealous. But, it also makes me know how special it is to be seen with you. I’m just happy to be seen with such a pretty girl.”

“Really?”

“You bet love. I’m proud to be with you.”

“I . . . I didn’t know.”

“And, if any of these guys tried to pick you up. They’d be answering to me.”

With a grin, I said, “I bet a Wizard makes a really great boyfriend.”

He just smiled.

Tonight was a repeat of the previous night. Except that I was on top and wow! I loved being with Allen both in and out of the bedroom. And, I really loved the sex with him, but I wasn’t sure if I could take this much every night.

The following morning I was feeling really good about what had happened yesterday. Not just the sex, but the whole day. I was no longer concerned about how I felt or why. I guess I was comfortable having Allen for a boyfriend, or was it a husband, and a lover. I also knew that it wouldn’t be long before I’d be Carl again and Allen would be Faith. After another great day together, as we were finishing dinner, Allen asked, “Think you’re ready to change back to Carl?”

I smiled, nodded yes, and said, “I think it’s time.”

“All right.”, he said, as he got up and offered me his hand, “Come on. We can do this together.”

We headed to the bedroom, both undressed, lay on the bed, and shared a kiss. He slowly chanted the spell, and we both fell asleep. When I woke up, I knew I was back to being Carl and everything felt normal. I looked over to where Faith was. She looked at me smiled, and said, “I love you.”

I replied, “I love you too.”

I rolled over and gave her a very nice, long, kiss. That kiss led to one of our normal, long, soft, sessions of love making. Afterwards we lay there cuddled together. Just looking at each other.

Finally Faith whispered, “I really do love you.”

I just smiled, kissed her again, and said, “I know and I really love you too. I missed our Carl and Faith time.”

“Me too.”

Then she asked, “Would you do it again?”

“Do what?”, I asked, “Make love to you?”

With her little smile, she said, “No silly. Become Sidney again?”

“I guess I’ll have to.”

“You’ll have to?”

“I’ve got three corsets and three gorgeous gowns that’ll go to waste if I don’t.”

“You’re so funny.”, she said, as she pushed me down on the bed and gave me a very nice kiss.

Nothing more was said about Sidney or Allen for a few days until we were out to dinner one night, and Faith asked, “What did you really think of your time as Sidney?”

I replied with, “Why don’t you go first and tell me how you felt when you were Allen?”

“Are you sure?”

“Why not?”

“It was really different then the time I was in your body. I guess it was because I was really the guy. Not just my mind, but in body. I loved what I felt. I loved what we shared. What we did together. I haven’t really figured everything out. I liked it, but I don’t think I’d want to be a guy.”

“You sure gave yourself a really strong libido.”

With a sly grin, she replied, “I know. I really enjoyed that part last time and wanted to enjoy it to the fullest. You didn’t like it?”

“I didn’t say that. I think you gave me a strong libido too.”

She didn’t need to answer. Her smile answered for her.

Then she asked, “Would you do it again?”

“Maybe. If we decided that we wanted that. I thought that it was interesting that you had a real thing for Sidney.”

“I did? Or, Allen did?”, she replied.

“You. You couldn’t keep your hands off of her. The love making was incredible. Even more incredible then what we did when you were Allen.”

“Oh?”

“Do you remember when you told me that there was something about the men in your family when you told me about your dad and Aunt Abbey?”

”Yea.”

“I’m really wondering if it’s something about the women in this family.”

“The women?”

“I think they love their men to be women or to become women once in awhile.”

Faith looked down at the table, then back up at me with tears in her eyes. We just looked at each other for a long time. Then I asked, “Am I right?”

“I . . . I . . . I don’t know. Maybe.”

“I think I am. Tell me what you were feeling when you and Sidney were together?”

“Don’t be mad?”

“No. I won’t be mad. I just want to know.”

“I was feeling a very strong attraction to her. And, I couldn’t control it. I want ed to make love to her all day and night. It was so strong that it scared me.”

“Scared you?”

“Yea. I was afraid that I’d never change her back to Carl.”

“Maybe we shouldn’t do this again. But, now I have to be honest with you.”

“With me?”

“I really loved being Sidney. I loved being with both you and Allen. I loved everything we did together, and not just the sex. Faith and Sidney interacted like two girl friends. It was fun doing things with you. Going shopping, out to dinner, just being with you.”

“You . . . You don’t want to become Sidney full time do you?”

“Part of the love of being Sidney was knowing that I’d be Carl again. I loved what I had with you and Allen. Both of you, I think, helped me find out what it felt like to be a girl. Maybe I am bisexual or at least Sidney is. You didn’t put that into her psyche, did you?”

She shook her head no, and said, “I just gave you the psyche that you would have if you’d been born a girl. The only thing I changed was your libido and that I made stronger.”

“Why?”

“Why did I make it stronger?”

“Yes.”

“I . . . I was being selfish. I wanted to have as much sex with you, in the short time we had, as possible. When I was in your body, it was when I felt the most power and I wanted to experience it again.”

“And, did you?”

“Yes. But, I also felt the power a girl has in a relationship. I think she actually has more control in the relationship then the guy does.”

We sat there and looked at each other for a long time. Then Faith finally asked, “You’d become Sidney again, wouldn’t you?”

“I think you know I would.”, I replied.

“And, you really don’t want to live as her?”

I didn’t directly answer her question, but said, “If we do this again, I want to do it when it feels right to do. When we want to do it.”

Over the next few weeks things were back to normal. We worked together at the book store. Faith continued my lessons in Witch craft. And, I had a very interesting talk with Aunt Abbey and why she liked being a woman instead of a man.

On a Saturday morning, about six weeks after we’d been to Aunt Hyacinths’, we were doing some house cleaning. I guess Faith could just cast a spell and do this, but she wouldn’t.

I was working in our bedroom, cleaning out the closet and seeing what could be donated or stored. I got to where the three gowns that Aunt Hyacinth had given me were hanging. I took them and set them on the bed. I guess I stood there and looked at them a little too long. Faith happened to walk past the door, she stopped, looked in, and said, “Want to wear them again?”

“Oh . . . I . . . No.”, I replied.

“Really? Don’t you miss the feeling of the corset and how the gowns feel? I know I do.”

I just looked at her.

“I thought so.”, she said, “You know we can do this anytime you want to.”

“I know.”, I said, “Do you miss Sidney?”

“It’s do we miss Sidney?”

“Do you?”

“I liked her, but of course I created her.”

“Want to bring her back for a while?”

“Do you want me too?”

“I guess.”

“No guessing. It’s either yes or no.”

“Yes.”

“Been thinking about it haven’t you?”

“Kind of.”

“When do you want to do it?”

“Anytime.”

As I woke up, Faith was smiling at me, and I knew I was Sidney.

Faith then asked, “Are you okay?”

“Sure.”, I replied with a smile, “I’m fine.”

She bent over, kissed me, then said, “Good. I also changed all of your male clothes to female. So, you have a lot of things to wear. Going to dress for dinner?”

With a big grin, I replied, “Yes Aunt Faith.”

She shook her head, and said, “You just wait until I lace you into a corset. The severe one.”

With a fake look of fright, I said, “Oh! You wouldn’t?”

“Young lady. Get yourself dressed and finish your chores.”

“Yes ma’am .”

I got off the bed, found a matching panty and bra set and slipped them on. Then a pair of shorts and a tank top. No shoes. I just ran around barefoot.

We finished our cleaning and did find a number of things to donate to charity. After we were back home, Faith said, “All right little girl. Time to get dressed for dinner.”

“You’re kidding?”, I said.

“No lover. I saw the way you looked at those dresses and I know you loved the corsets. So, you get to dress for dinner.”

“You’re not?”

“Do you want me to?”

“Sure.”

I’ll tell you this, Faith pulled no punches lacing me into the severe corset that Aunt Hyacinth had given me. She even had me hold onto the closet door frame so that she could really tighten it. And, as she was doing this, she said, “We’re going to have to add a bar to the closet.”

I laced Faith into her tightest corset and I was able to completely close it from top to bottom. Her comment was, “It looks like I’ll have to get a new one. This one just isn’t tight enough.”

“You’re kidding me?”, I asked.

“No. The one I wore at Aunt Hyacinth was tighter then this.”

After we were completely dressed, we fixed a nice dinner and as we were cleaning up, Faith asked, “So, young lady, what do you want to do this evening?”

I looked at her, smiled, and said, “Just cuddle with you and watch the ocean.”

And, we did just that. We sat and enjoyed the evening listening to the waves coming on shore. Cuddling in a full length dresses and corset is an interesting experience.

As usual, after the sun set it started getting cool. Both of us got chilled and we decided to go back into the house. I got up, offered Faith my hand, and helped her stand. As soon as she was on her feet, she grabbed me, and kissed me. I wrapped my arms around her, and this kiss, as most of ours do, turned into a very long deep one.

We went inside and to the sitting room. As Faith sat on the couch, she pulled me down on her lap and our kissing resumed. Sitting like this in a corset was not the most comfortable thing in the world, but her kisses made it worth while.

I finally got up off the couch, offered her my hand, helped her up, and led her up to the bedroom. Needless to say the love making that night, as two girls, was nothing but amazing.

Later as we lay there holding each other, and I said, “You know. I really love what we do.”

“So do I lover.”, Faith replied.

“Think Allen can visit?”

“You really want him again?”

“Yea. I really like him.”

“You little sex kitten. I’m not enough for you?”

“You are. But, he’s got something you don’t.”

“You want him now?”

“No. I just want to cuddle with you tonight.”

On Sunday morning when I woke up, Faith was already up. I slipped into my robe and headed downstairs. As I walked into the kitchen, Allen was sitting at the table, drinking a cup of coffee, and reading the morning paper. I walked up behind him, bent down, and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

He slid his chair back, turned, grabbed me, and pulled me down on his lap. I said, “Getting a little forward aren’t we mister?”

“Faith told me that you missed me.”, he replied, “So, I didn’t want to waste any time.”

“We have all day.”

With a sly smile, he said, “Yea, all day.”

“Don’t get to rambunctious mister. We’ve got things to do.”

“I know. But, I don’t know if I can wait.”

“You’re just going to have to.” The only problem was that I didn’t know if I could. And, I added, “Now let go of me and I’ll make breakfast.”

After we finished everything that we needed to do it was the middle of the afternoon. Allen needed a shower and headed to the master bathroom. My mind got working, and it wasn’t long until I was in the shower with him. We washed each others bodies and that led to a lot more. We were in that shower a very long time. I’m really glad Faith’s grandmother had put in a large water heater.

That evening we went out to dinner, and as we were enjoying an after dinner glass of wine, Allen said, “You know if I wasn’t already married to you I’d ask you to marry me.”

Coyly, I asked, “Why?”

“Because I love you so much.”

“Not just because what we do in bed?”

“That’s great, but no. You are such a special person. You amaze me every day.”

“No more then you amaze me.”

Needless to say, that night we were at it again. It seems that three is our magic number. Well, four, if you count the shower. Afterwards, we cuddled together and it felt so nice.

This weekend started something. Sidney started coming back, as did Allen, and it was fun having two lovers. But, as time went on Sidney was around more and more. I really liked being her and in a strange sort of way it felt right. She was out going, enjoyed life, seemed to be a very real person, and both Faith and Allen said that she was fun to be with and a great lover.

Don’t get me wrong, we both still needed our Faith and Carl time and got it. But, it got to the point that weekends was Sidney’s time. Allen even loved lacing Sidney into corsets and enjoyed making them very tight.

One Saturday Faith was lacing me into a corset and said, “Lover. I can’t get this any tighter.”

“Really?”

“The fabric touches from top to bottom.”

“I knew the dresses were getting looser, but I had no idea that I needed a new corset.”

The following day a package was delivered. It was from Aunt Hyacinth and addressed to Sidney. I looked at Faith, she grinned, and said, “Go on open it.”

I slowly opened it and inside was a box that said “The Coven Corset Shoppee”, and I asked, “How did she know?”

Faith smiled, and said, “I told her.”

“She shouldn’t have.”

“She loves to see a girl in a proper fitting corset. There should be two in there for you and two from me.”

“Two.”

“A new overbust and a new underbust for each of us.”

“Underbust?”

“I thought they might be fun in the bedroom. They’re not that severe. And, I just know that Allen will love it too.”

“Oh. Corset, nylons, and nothing more.”

With her coy little smile, Faith said, “Oh. Maybe heels. And, the other corset, at least yours, is very severe.”

11. Oops.

Friday, after changing me into Sidney, Faith laced me into the new underbust corset. She was able to tighten this corset much tighter then the old one and did. I then slipped into a pair of nylons and a pair of heels. I knew Faith had been watching me, and she said, “Girlfriend you look good enough to eat.”

I just smiled at her, and said, “Do I get to lace you into your new one?”

In a very sexy way, as she started to undress, she said, “Yes.”

A little while later we were standing side by side, in matching corsets, nylons, heels, and nothing more, looking at our selves in the mirror. I think just standing there looking at each other was doing things to both of us. I know it was to me.

I asked her, “Shouldn’t we put on panties and bras?”

She looked at me with a wicked smile, and said, “Lover. We should. But, if you’re feeling like I’m feeling, they wouldn’t be on for very long.”

I looked at her for a second, grabbed her, and kissed her. Feeling her naked breasts against my naked breasts just added to the sexual rush that we were both feeling. Very quickly we were on the bed making love like we love to do. Faith has learned what it takes to drive me crazy and did she ever.

Once we recovered and were getting out of bed, I asked, “Do we wear bras and panties with these?”

“Only if you want to.”, she replied.

“Why wouldn’t I?”

“Oh . . . It just depends how bad you want to be and how much access you want to give others.”

“Access?”

“Uh huh.”

“Oh.”

We both just slipped into short skirts and loose blouses. And, over the remainder of the day I found out what she meant about access.

On Saturday morning Faith brought Allen back. He helped me put on the underbust corset. Then watched as I slipped nylons up my legs, fastened the garters, and stepped into a pair of red heels. I could tell it was doing things to him. He stared, and his breathing got deeper and slower. Also, just like yesterday, I was going to be bad, I wasn’t going to put on a bra or panties. I could also see what this was also doing to him. It would do the same thing to me if I was Carl and Faith was dressing this way.

As I was picking out a skirt and blouse to wear, I smiled, and asked, “Honey. Is something wrong?”

“Ah . . . “, he stammered, “No . . . But, . . . But, you look so sexy.”

Very coyly and with a smile, I said, “I do?”

“Oh God yes!”

I’m not going into details of what happened. But, I never got the skirt and blouse on and he couldn’t keep his hands off of me. I also didn’t know that he had all of this in him, but we never left the house that weekend and I never took off the corset and nylons. Or, wore anything else. I also slept, what sleep I got, in the corset and nylons. I guess I became his sex toy for the weekend. And, I didn’t mind one bit.

On Sunday evening, as we usually did, we lay side by side on the bed to change back. Allen looked at me, and said, “You are so damn sexy.”

“Lover.”, I said, “Only for you.”

He chanted the spell and fell asleep. But, I didn’t. I lay there wondering what was going on and watched Allen became Faith. When she finally woke up, she looked at me a little puzzled, and I asked, “Why didn’t I change?”

“I don’t know.”, she replied, “You should have.”

“I know.”

“Let me try again.”

Faith picked up the book and turned to the page where the spell was. Read it to herself, then said, “It’s what I used. Why didn’t it work?”

“Try it again.”

Faith chanted the spell and nothing happened. Again looking puzzled, she said, “I don’t know what’s going on.”

She read that part of the book again, shook her head, and said, “It should have worked.”

“What are you saying?”

“That I don’t know why the spell isn’t working.”

“But, you’re the High Priestess, shouldn’t you know?”

“Love. Remember that I’m always learning. And, I don’t know everything and never will. But, there are others that might know.”

“Who?”

“First mom.”

It was late, but Faith picked up the phone and called her mom. “Hi mom. I hope I didn’t wake you?” . . . “Good. We’ve got a problem.” . . . “No. But, Carl was Sidney this weekend and now I can’t change her back.” . . . “Yea. I was Allen.” . . . “Yea. We did.” . . . “No. We’ve never used it.” . . . “Oh. . . . You think?” . . . “We can do that.” . . . “I’ll let you know.” . . . “Yea. Good night.”

“What did she say?”, I asked.

“You may not like this.”

“What?”

“Remember that I’ve told you that most of the spells won’t allow anyone to be hurt.”

“Yea. So?”

“We’ve . . . We’ve never used any kind of protection when we’ve had sex as Sidney and Allen.”

“What are you saying?”

“It’s possible that you’re pregnant.”

“What!?”

“It’s the only thing that mom could think of and she may be right. Baby, I’m so sorry.”

I got up, started pacing, and saying, “No! No way! I can’t be pregnant. I don’t want to be pregnant. I’m a guy. Guys don’t get pregnant.”

“I know love. But, right now you’re a girl and we should have taken precautions.”

“Oh God! Can’t we do something?”

“Like what?”

“I don’t know. Find another spell.”

“It wouldn’t matter. If you’re pregnant I can’t change you back, it would hurt the baby.”

“So, I’m stuck as Sidney?”

“Maybe. First we need to find out if you really are pregnant.”

“And, if I am?”

“I guess Sidney becomes a mother.”

At that point I sat down next to Faith, started shaking, and crying. Faith just held me, let me cry, and whispered, “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.”

Finally, still shaking, I was able to say, “I’m a guy under here. Guys don’t get pregnant.”

“I know love. We’ll work this out.”

“But, what if I’m not pregnant?”

“Then we have to figure out why the spell didn’t work.”

“How . . . How do we find out if I’m pregnant?”

“The over the counter pregnancy tests won’t work for about a week. So, we’ll just have to wait until next Sunday.”

“A week. I’m going to be Sidney for a week?”

“At least.”

“What do you mean at least?”

“If you’re pregnant . . . you’ll be Sidney for nine months.”

“Oh God! No!”

“Lover. Calm down.”

“But, I’m a guy.”

“Yes you are, but right now with a girl’s body.”

I started crying again. Faith again just held me. It took awhile, but I finally calmed down, and said, “I’m not going to be upset. I’m not. I’m going to see what next Sunday brings.”

“Good girl. We’ll get through this together.”

“I know. I . . . I may not be pregnant.”

Faith looked at me in a way that said that she doubted what I just said. And, I had a feeling that she may be right.

The following week I was Sidney. I worked at the shop as Sidney. Faith and I did things as two girlfriends. Her mom and I had a long talk. I also had a long talk with Aunt Abbey. And, Rachel even seemed closer. I guess no matter what happens, I’ll at least have a strong support base. But, I still kicked myself for not using protection.

Saturday on the way home Faith and I stopped at the drug store and purchased a pregnancy test kit. I wanted to do the test as soon as we arrived home, but Faith said that it was best done in the morning.

Saturday night I didn’t sleep well and was up early on Sunday. Faith heard me get up, and said, “Love. If you’re going to the bathroom, do the test.”

I looked over at her and I felt the tears start.

She said, “Honey. Don’t cry. It’s going to be fine.”

I just shook my head and went to the bath room. I was in there a long time and just couldn’t bring myself to do the test. Finally there was a knock on the door, and Faith asked, “Honey. Are you all right?”

“I don’t know.”, I replied, “I just can’t do the test.”

The bath room door opened, Faith looked at me, and said, “Love. It’s the only way that we’ll know unless we go to a doctor.”

“All right. Close the door and I’ll do it.”

She closed the door and I did the test. When I walked out of the bathroom, Faith was standing there waiting for me, and she asked, “Well?”

I handed her the test strip, and asked, “Does this mean what I think it does?”

She looked at it, then at me, smiled, and just nodded yes.

I started crying and we held each other for a long time. Finally she asked, “Why the tears? I thought you’d be happy.”

“I am. But . . . But, I also feel sad.”

“Sad? Why?”

“I don’t know.”

“Did you want to be pregnant?”

“No. I don’t think so. But . . . “

“But what?”

“I’m not sure. . . . It just might be my female psyche, but maybe I did.”

Faith looked at me in a questioning way, and said, “Lover. Sometimes you scare me.”

Then it hit me, and I asked, “But, if I’m not pregnant, then why am I still Sidney?”

“I’m not really sure, but lets try the spell again.”

We tried the spell again and still nothing. Faith then said, “I think we really need to make sure you’re not pregnant.”

“I thought the test did that?”

“It’s not one-hundred percent accurate.”

“So, what do we do? Go to the doctors.”

“They use the same tests.”

“So?”

“We just may have to wait and see if you have a period.”

“A period!?”

“If you have one, then it’s almost guaranteed that you’re not pregnant.”

“How long will that take?”

“Since you’ve never had one, I don’t know.”

“How will I know?”

“Believe me you’ll know.”

For the next week and a half we waited, and Faith did more reading then she usually did. Then one morning I woke up with the worst headache and cramps that I’d ever had. Needless to say I wasn’t pregnant.

After Faith had explained what I was going to go through, I asked, “Since I’m not pregnant, can we get me back to being Carl?”

“I want to go over to moms’ first.”

“Why?”

“Just in case.”

“Just in case the spell doesn’t work. Right?”

She just nodded yes.

After we had breakfast, we went over to the book shop and I wasn’t surprised to find Aunt Hyacinth sitting at the table with Faith’s mother and Aunt Abbey.

Looking at me, Faith’s mother said, “So, Sidney. You’re not pregnant?”

“I guess not.”, I replied.

“You sound disappointed?”

“I’ve had mixed feelings and I’m not sure why.”

Faith added, “I think it’s her female psyche feeling the disappointment.”

“My dear. It may very well be.”, Aunt Hyacinth said, “And, it’s interesting that she still feels this way. But, first I think we need to figure out why Carl is still a girl.” Then looking at Faith she said, “Faith, my dear. Do you have the book?”

Faith replied, “Yes. The spell has worked every time until now.”

“And, it may again. Are we sure she isn’t pregnant?”

“Yes, Aunt Hyacinth. Especially since she started her period this morning.”

“Have you tried the spell this morning?”

“No. I thought we’d come over here first.”

“I think we need to just try the spell again and hope it works. Don’t you Dianna?”

“Yes.”, Faith’s mother replied, “Lets just hope it works.”

“If it doesn’t?”, I asked.

“Then we’ll just have to try some other things.”

I just looked at Faith, and she said, “Lover. It just work.”

We went upstairs to Faith’s old room. As I laid down on the bed I asked Faith, “What if this doesn’t work?”

“We’ll cross that bridge if we have to. Now, just relax.”

I heard Faith begin to chant the spell and I fell asleep. When I woke up, Faith was sitting next to me and smiling. She said, “Welcome back.”

I looked down at myself. My male self, and said, “The spell worked.”

“Yes it did.”

“Okay. But, why did it work this time.”

“I don’t know, but maybe the five of us can figure it out.”

I wasn’t surprised to see that the girls’ clothes that I’d been wearing were now Carl’s clothes. We went back downstairs, sat with the three ladies, and talked about why the spell didn’t and then did work. No one was sure why. But, the consensus was that I may have been pregnant, the spell sensed it, and wouldn’t allow the change back. But, that something may have happened and then having my period had changed everything.

It was a little while until I wanted to become Sidney again, but I eventually did. And, Faith was reluctant to bring Allen back, but with a little coaxing she did. When we were Sidney and Allen we were very careful.

12. Something a little different.

Over the next few months Faith was diligent in her teaching me the Old Religion. One day we went to the room where the coven meets. She stood behind me and whispered, “Concentrate on the two candles on the table.”

“Why?”, I asked.

“Just do it, and chant, Ithcwk kinmlo uytg.”

I did as she asked and nothing happened.

She said, “Try it again.”

I did and still nothing.

“All right.”, she said, “Just concentrate on one candle and try again.”

I did and the candle slowly flickered to life.

“Did I do that?”, I asked.

“Sure.”, she replied, “You’ve gained a little power.”

“How strong will my powers get?”

“Not as strong as mine, but in time you’ll be able to do a lot of things.”

Once the pregnancy scare was forgotten Sidney became a regular visitor again. I always felt good when she was here. One night as we were getting ready for bed, and Faith was getting ready to change me back to Carl, she asked, “Why the sad face?”

“What do you mean?”, I asked.

“I’ve been noticing that whenever we’re going to change you back to Carl that you become a little down and try to put it off. And, it’s gotten progressively worse.”

“It has?”

“Yes love. Do we need to talk.”

“I don’t know.”

“I do. And, we do.”

She handed me my robe, I got up, and slipped it on. She slipped her robe on, took my hand, led me back down to the livingroom, and we sat on the couch. She looked at me for a few seconds, then said, “All right lover. What’s going on?”

“I . . . I . . . I don’t know.”

“Yes you do and I think I do. You like being Sidney. Don’t you?”

“You know I do.”

“Why?”

“I’m not sure. But, those weeks that I was Sidney, when we thought I was pregnant, it felt right. It was like I was meant to be her. Like it was meant to be. And, I was sad when I wasn’t pregnant.”

“I know you were. So do you want to stay as Sidney?”

I looked at her for a minute before I said, “Sort of.”

“I think more then sort of. It’s very interesting seeing you as Sidney. She seems really at easy with who she is. She knows what she’s all about and to top that off she’s a fun person as a friend and lover.”

“Do you love her more than Carl?”

“No love. As I’ve always said, I love both Carl and Sidney the same because they are the same person. Just a different body and psyche. What’s in their heart is the same. You’ve been thinking about this for awhile. Haven’t you?”

“No.”

“Lover. You have. Remember this Witch loves you and I know that you’ve had something on your mind for a long time. And, it’s Sidney, isn’t it?”

I felt the tears start. Faith reached over and wiped them away, and said, “There’s no need to cry lover.”

“But . . . But, I’m your husband. I’m not a girl.”

She moved closer and just held me. Finally, she whispered, “Lover. You’re not only my husband, but my best friend. My life partner. I love Carl and I love Sidney. Do you want me to make Sidney go away like she never existed?”

I sat back, looked at her, and slowly shook my head no.

“I didn’t think so.”, she said, “Do you want to stay as Sidney?”

I asked her, “You’d still love me. Wouldn’t you?”

She smiled, and said, “I love you more then anything in this world. No matter if you’re Carl or Sidney. And, nothing will ever change that.”

“But, you married Carl the man?”

“I know. But, I love the person and what’s in their heart.”

“So, if we decided that I stay as Sidney, you’d be all right with it?”

“Yes. As long as you’re were happy with it.”

“No. As long as we’re happy with it.”

“Would you be happy being Sidney most of the time?”

“Most of the time?”

With that sly little smile of hers, she said, “There’s times that I just might like to have Carl around.”

I smiled, and asked, “So, you wouldn’t have a problem with me staying as Sidney?”

“No. Not at all. As long as you don’t. And, I don’t think you do.”

“What about the people that know us as Faith and Carl? Won’t they think it’s strange that you’re now living with a girl.”

“The people that know us won’t see anything different. They’ll remember us as two girls. And, as far as thinking it’s strange. Look at my mother and Aunt Abbey. Everyone takes them in stride and they’ll do the same with us.”

“So, I guess I was right.”

“About what?”

“When I said that there was something about the women in this family liking their men to be women.”

She smiled, and said, “Maybe you are.”

“You do realize that I’ll probably want to be with Allen once in awhile?”

“I figured as much. I think he’ll want to be with you too. Can I still have Carl?”

With a smile, I answered, “Any time.”

“I think I know the answer to this, but when do you want to start this?”

I looked at her for a minute and then just said, “I’m not sure. I want to sleep on it.”

I didn’t sleep much. My mind was going in many different directions. I loved Faith as my wife. I loved being her husband. But, I also loved being Sidney. Faith also loved me when I was Sidney.

The following morning on the way to the book shop we stopped at the coffee shop. Beth Ann greeted us with a smile and a “Good morning Faith. Good morning Sidney.”

As we sat, and enjoyed a cup of tea and raisin scone, I said, “I see Beth Ann knows Sidney?”

“Like I said. Everyone that need to know you as Sidney does.”

Then as we walked into the book shop we were met by Faith’s mother, Aunt Abbey, and Rachel. All three were just looking at us. No one said anything. Finally Rachel walked over, gave me a big hug, and said, “I just knew you were meant to make a great sister.”

“You knew?”, I asked.

“When I first met you there was just something about you that said girl. And, you just handled the pregnancy scare a little too easily. Probably better then I would.”

“She’s right.”, Faith mother said, “I think you were supposed to be a girl. Kind of like Abbey.”

Aunt Abbey, being Aunt Abbey, just smiled. But, I knew we’d have a long talk very soon.

Faith’s mother then said, “So. I guess no grandchildren from you two?”

“Mother!”, Faith said.

“Well.”, I said with a grin, “You never know what might happen. Carl could come back for that.”

I don’t know why, but being Sidney full time feels so good. Like it was meant to be. I just love being Sidney, except for that time of month. But, I guess that it goes with the territory. The relationship that Faith and I have has grown stronger and stronger. There were times that I had to ask Faith to let Allen visit and other times he would just surprise me. Faith was my real love, but Allen was a lot of fun, and not just in bed. Carl? He was even around every once in awhile.

13. A trip and a book.

About three months after I’d started living full time as Sidney, Faith and I were on a plane heading for England. We had decided to take a two week vacation and visit the area of England that my ancestors had come from. It amazed me how interested she was in Tintagel Castle and the area around it. She said that she could feel the presence of the Witches and Wizards of the past. Of course there were the old book shops in almost every village and town, and the old cemeteries where we looked for my ancestors.

Close to the end of our first week something had drawn us to the village of Morwenstow on the northern coast of Cornwall, not far from Tintagel. As we were walking through its small shopping area Faith stopped just short of a small book shop and whispered, “There’s a Witch nearby.”

“You’re kidding.”, I whispered back.

“No. I think she’s in the book shop.”

“What kind of a Witch?”

“A good one. And, I think she’s waiting for us.”

We walked into the shop and were greeted by an elderly lady, “Hello. Is there something that I can help you find?”

Faith looked at her, and asked, “You’re a Witch. Aren’t you?”

“Yes my dear. Just like you. My name is Carrie.”

“You knew I’d be coming here didn’t you?”

“Yes Faith. We knew you’d be coming, because you were summoned.”

“Summoned?”

“Yes. You are very strong and we couldn’t enter your mind, so we caused your pretty friend here to have a dream about coming to Morwenstow. We knew you would sense my presence and come into my book shop.”

“Why was I summoned?”

“You are a very special and wise Witch, and I have a special book for you.”

“A special book?”

“Yes. It’s the oldest of the books, and contains many strong spells and potions.”

“Why is it for me?”

“As I said, you are very special and wise. And, this book is very powerful and needs to be kept in the proper hands.”

“And, those hands are mine?”

“Yes my dear.”

Carrie turned around, picked a package up from a shelf and handed it to Faith. It was bound in leather and tied with a leather tie. Faith set it on the counter, untied the strings holding the binding in place, and carefully unfolded the leather binding. She slowly turned the loose leaf pages, looking at each one. From what I could see it was done in a very old script with illuminations.

When she was done looking at the book, Faith looked at Carrie, and said, “There is a lot of power in this book. Is it being protected from anyone.”

“Yes my dear.”, Carrie said, “There are always dark powers seeking this book. It just needs to be kept from harm and you shouldn’t have any problem doing that. Your powers are much stronger than you know. Read the first thirteen pages and you will understand. Your powers may be tested. And, you will know when it’s time to pass the book on and to whom. Just protect the book.”

“I will and thank you.”

“No my dear. Thank you for coming for the book.”

We left the shop and started walking up the street, and I said, “That was strange.”

“A little.”, Faith replied, “What made you decide that you wanted to come to Cornwall?”

“Nothing really. It’s something that I’ve want to do for a long time. But, I did have a dream about it just before we decided to come.”

“Nothing else?”

“I had another dream a few days ago about this village.”

“Another dream?”

“Yes. A dream about visiting here.”

“Hmm.”

“What?”

“Oh, nothing.”

When we were back at our hotel and in our room, Faith sat at the desk, unwrapped the book, and started reading it.

I asked, “You can read the book?”

“Yes.”, she replied, “But, I don’t know how. I’ve never seen writing like this before. But, I can read it.”

I left her to her reading until she sat back and said, “Oh my Lady!”

“What’s wrong?”, I asked.

“This book . . . This is the original book.”

“The original book?”

“The original book of the Old Religion. I can’t believe this. Why me?”

“Maybe it’s like what Carrie said. You’re special and wise.”

“And, I hope very strong.”

“Why?”

“If this book should fall into the wrong hands, it would be very dangerous.”

“Are you going to have a problem protecting it?”

“If what I’ve just read is true. No.”

“What did you read?”

“It says that whoever posses the book, posses it’s power. And, in just reading a little bit, the power in this book is amazing.

“And, you know. Aunt Hyacinth has always told me that I was special. I thought she was just saying that because I was her favorite great-nice. But, now I think it was for other reasons.”

“Other reasons?”, I asked.

“That she knew that I’d become the keeper of this book.”

“It’s that special?”

“Yes!”

All I could say was, “Oh!”

Faith sat, reread the first part of the book again, shook her head, then again said, “Why me?”

“Honey. They knew that they could intrust the book to you.”

She looked at me, and said, “Lover. It really scares me that I have this book. I just hope I can live up to it.”

“I know you can and will. And, they must feel the same way.”

“I’ll feel much better once I have it home.”

“Do you want to go back early?”

“No. It’ll be fine. Besides I really love it here.”

We had seven days left in England, and Faith carried the book with her everywhere we went. I noticed a change in Faith. Nothing bad. It was like she became more sure of herself. More confident.

On our last full day in England something happened that just scarred the living hell out of me. We were visiting a church, and it’s graveyard, in the village of Ruan Lanihorne. The church was built in 1321 and I’d been told that some of my ancestors were buried in the cemetery. As we walked into the cemetery I felt a cold chill and I looked at Faith.

She was looking around and without looking at me, said, “I know. I felt it too. There’s evil here.”

“Should we leave?”, I asked.

“It may be too late.”

“Too late?”

“If you see someone stay behind me.”

“See who?”

“I’m not sure.”

Just then we heard someone behind us say, “Hello my dear.”

We both spun around and saw an older woman standing about twenty feet from us. As Faith said, “What do you want?”, I moved behind her.

“The book you are entrusted with.”

“It’s not mine to give.”

“But, it’s mine to take.”

“Over my dead body.”

I felt a chill run through my body.

“That can be arranged my dear.”, the woman said.

“Let my friend go and I’ll face you.”

“No my dear. Your husband, who is now this pretty creature with you and your lesbian lover, will face the same end you will.”

I wanted to run away, but I couldn’t move. I didn’t know if it was because I wanted to be with Faith or that I just couldn’t move.

Without taking her eyes off the woman, Faith pointed to a tree and said, “Go behind that oak tree.”

“I don’t want to leave you.”, I whispered back.

“Do as I say and do it now!”

“Yes.”, the woman said, “Do as she says and then I’ll take care of you when I finish with her.”

“Go on love.”, Faith said, “I’ll be fine.”

The woman just laughed.

Finally Faith looked at me and said, “Go on!”

As I ran over to the tree to hide, I said, “I love you.”

“I love you too.”

As I hid behind the old oak tree I heard Faith chant something and the old woman say, “Is that the best you can do.” Then I heard the old woman chant something. I didn’t hear anything for a few seconds and I was worried, but then I heard Faith chant something.

The sounds that I started hearing were loud and incredible. Screams. Howls. And, some undescribable sounds. I covered my ears.

I lost track of who was casting what spells and how long this whole thing went on. Finally I heard the most awful blood curdling scream you could imagine. And, everything went deadly quiet. I huddled behind the tree afraid to look. I then sensed someone standing by me. God I hoped it was Faith. I slowly opened my eyes and looked up, and it was Faith. I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy to see someone in my life. She looked down at me, smiled, and said, “It’s all right lover. It’s over.”

“Are you all right?”, I asked.

“I’m fine.”

“Where’s the old woman?”

“She’s dead.”

“Dead?”

“It was the only way. I didn’t want to kill her, but I had to protect the book.”

She reached down and helped me up. I wrapped my arms around her and we hugged for a long time. I finally whispered, “I was so worried.”

“I know love.”, Faith said, “I was too, to begin with. But, I felt the power of the book and knew that I’d win.”

“So, what happened?”

“Basically a witches fight.”

“A fight of spells?”

“Yes.”

“I don’t ever want to go through that again.”

“Me either, and I don’t think we will.”

The next day we were on our way home and we both slept most of the way. We were met at the airport by Faith’s mother and Aunt Hyacinth. And, after the usual warm greetings, Aunt Hyacinth asked, “Faith my dear. Do you really have the book?”

“Yes.”, Faith replied.

There was a change in the way Faith interacted with Aunt Hyacinth. Faith still had a lot of respect for Aunt Hyacinth, but it appeared that Aunt Hyacinth had gained a lot of respect for Faith.

Aunt Hyacinth smiled, and said, “I knew that you were special.”

“Am I?”

“Oh yes my dear. You are or you wouldn’t have the book.”

“But, why me?”

“The book needs to be kept by a very strong, learned, and wise Witch. There is one that’s chosen each generation and the book is passed on when necessary. And, it needed to be passed on and you were the one that was chosen.”

“I was chosen for this?”

“Before you were born.”

Faith looked at her mother. Who smiled and just nodded yes.

When we were home, we went to the basement and to the coven’s meeting room. There was something new there. A book stand with a glass cover. Without hesitation, Faith walked over to it and placed the book under the cover. Then she walked over to where the rest of us were standing, and said, “Now I feel better.”

“It will be very safe here.”, Aunt Hyacinth said, “No one would dare enter here to harm it. Your trial took place in Ruan Lanihorne.”

“You know about that?”

“Of course my dear.”

Over the next few months there were a number of strangers that visited us. Some you could tell were Witches or Wizards and some you couldn’t. But, they all treated Faith with a lot of respect. Faith told me that they came to reference the book and consult with her.

14. Something little.

Being Sidney had brought on a lot of feelings that I’d never had as Carl. I remembered a lot of what Carl did and felt, but is was starting to fade into the past. But, there was something that I was now feeling that I couldn’t put my finger on. It was like something was missing. I worried that I was missing being Carl. But, I knew when Faith turned me back into Carl that I couldn’t wait to go back to being Sidney. I was now Sidney that became Carl when we wanted, not Carl that became Sidney. This feeling of something missing seemed to be stronger at certain times. What was it? What was I feeling?

Then one day Faith and I were at a local mall shopping and we stopped at the food court for lunch. We sat down next to four women and their six very young children. And, I couldn’t take my eyes off the children. They would smile at me and I’d smile back. Then I’d talk to them and they’d get excited. We also talked with the women about their children.

After Faith and I had finished our lunch, we were just sitting there and I noticed that one of the mothers was trying to eat and take care of her two young children, and it wasn’t working too well. So, I asked, “Would you like me to hold the baby for awhile?”

“Well.”, the mother replied, “She doesn’t like strangers, but she seems to have taken a liking to you. Her name is Heather.”

I looked at Heather, reached out to her, and said, “Heather. That’s a very pretty name. My name’s Sidney. Can I hold you so that mommy can eat.”

The little girl reached out to me and her mother handed her to me. I took her and held her. She looked at me and smiled. I smiled back at her. Her mother handed me a pacifier, and said, “You may need this if she gets fussy.”

I held and played with Heather while her mother finished her lunch, then when she was done I handed her back. We said good bye to the women and the children, and headed out of the mall.

As we got in the car, Faith said, “I don’t believe you.”

“What don’t you believe?”, I asked.

“Carl would have never done that.”

“Done what?”

“Held and played with that little girl.”

“Oh come on. Yes he would have.”

“I don’t think so.”

“Well Sidney loves children.”

“She does?”

“Yes.”

As we started driving out of the parking lot, I started thinking. And, maybe, just maybe.

Faith saying, “You sure got quiet.”, brought me back to reality.

“Sorry.”, I said, “I was just thinking.”

“About what?”

“Oh nothing important.”

She looked at me in a way that told me that she knew better, but she didn’t push the subject. But, I was thinking about something important and I had a plan. I just hoped that she wouldn’t be mad at me.

Faith and I continued living as two women, which we were, and it was wonderful. Allen was a regular visitor and lover, and there seemed to be no end to our sexual stamina when he was here.

Six months after our trip to England, Faith and I had just gone to bed and I just said, “I think I’m pregnant.”

“You’re what!?”

“I think I’m pregnant.”

“I thought that’s what you said. Why do you think that you’re pregnant?”

“I missed my period this month.”

“You’ve been taking precautions with Allen. Haven’t you?”

“Well. . . . I may have forgotten a couple of times.”

“You forgot? The girl that was in a panic a few months ago when she thought she was pregnant.”

“Maybe.”

“Either you did or you didn’t.”

“I guess I didn’t.”

A few days later as we were walking out of the doctors office, Faith said, “Well lover I’m jealous.”

“Jealous?”, I asked.

“You’re going to have our first child.”

“Sorry.”

“Don’t be. Before, when you thought you were pregnant, you were very upset. Today when the doctor confirmed you were, I saw you smile.”

“I know. I’ve felt something was missing and when I held that little girl at the mall I knew what it was.”

“Why didn’t you say something?”

“I don’t know. I didn’t know if I could become pregnant and just want to try.”

“We should have talked about it.”

“I know. You’re mad, aren’t you?”

“No. I’m not mad. I’m happy for you.”

“For us?”

“Yes. For us.”

“You still love me?”

“You know I do. I’ll always love you. You are very special to me. But, if we decide to have other children it’s my turn.”

With a grin, I said, “You mean you and Carl.”

“Well Sidney sure can’t help me conceive.”

Rachel was waiting for us when we walked into the book shop, and just said, “Well?”

I just smiled.

She ran from behind the counter, wrapped her arms around me, kissed me on the cheek, and said, “That is so wonderful!”

From then on, I was treated as more than one of the girls. Faith’s mother became my mom. Rachel became much more than a sister-in-law. Aunt Abbey, well she was Aunt Abbey. And, I think that this child is going to look at Aunt Hyacinth as more a great-grandmother then a great aunt.

The first month wasn’t really different, other than I knew I was pregnant. I was still working at the book shop. Faith was really great. And, we showed more affection for each other, if that was possible.

For some reason Allen wasn’t around or even talked about. And, to be honest I missed him, but I knew, for some reason, Faith was very apprehensive about bringing him back. Towards the end of that first month I asked Faith, “Honey. Is Allen ever coming back?”

“Why?”, she asked.

“I miss him..”

“You miss him?”

“Sure. He’s the babies father.”

“You’d really like to see him again. Wouldn’t you?”

“You know I would.”

Allen did come back from time to time and was a very loving father to be.

During the next two months things began to change. Morning sickness was something I could really do without, but I knew it was part of being pregnant. I also started to grab naps throughout the day and spend more time in the bathroom. The mood swings were really something else. Sometimes the same thing that would make me laugh, the next time would make me cry. My breasts were tender and I knew they were getting bigger. There were times that I actually wouldn’t let Faith touch them. We made our monthly visits to the doctor and she was happy with everything. And, by the end of the third month I was really beginning to feel pregnant!

The following two months things really started to happen. My belly started to look a little bigger, and I think I felt the baby move. No, I did feel the baby move. I had more energy, but I was feeling some aches and pains.

Everyone was just fantastic. If I even looked like I wanted something they were asking if they could get it for me. Faith and I walked every day that we could. Sometimes it was a long walk and sometimes a short one. I guess that I was really beginning to show, the smiles I was receiving from the women we saw were a knowing smile.

One night at dinner I asked Faith, “Do I need to breast feed the baby?”

“I guess you should.”, she replied, “Why?”

“I noticed the area around my nipples were getting darker and bigger. So, I started reading about it and found that it’s because my body is getting ready to breast feed the baby. I dug deeper and found that they recommend between six and twelve months of breast feeding. If not longer.”

“That sounds about right. It would be better for the baby to be breast fed.”

I looked at her and what I said surprised both of us. I said, “I guess it would be best if I did breast feed the baby for a year.”

Faith’s eyes got big, and she said, “Did I hear you right?”

“The baby should have mother’s milk. Shouldn’t it?”

With a smile Faith said, “You really getting that comfortable with having this baby. Aren’t you love?”

“I think so.”

“Is Carl gone?”

“I think for now, yes. Do you mind?”

“No lover. I don’t mind. You seem very comfortable like this. Are you?”

“Yes. I think so. I’m enjoying this.”

I’ve made it through two trimesters and was actually feeling pretty good. The baby was very active at times and Faith loved to feel it move. We’d decided to not let the doctor tell us what sex it was. We wanted it to be a surprise. My breasts had become, what I felt were enormous, but Faith said they weren’t that big. I started feeling light contractions, contractions to ready the uterus for delivery. My breasts were also leaking.

I hadn’t thought much about delivering the baby, but these contractions made me start thinking about it. Maybe I still had some of Carl in me, because I felt very unsure about this whole thing and I asked the doctor about doing a caesarean section. She told me that she’d do that only if there was a problem. Faith and I also had a long talk about it, and she told me that she’d be there for me during the delivery and we’d get through it together. That talk made me feel better.

I’d made it to my eighth month and I’m now seeing the doctor every two week, and she’s still very happy with everything. I’m really showing. My belly keeps getting in the way and my belly button has changed from an innie to outie. The baby is really kicking, sometime really hard. We’ve seen it’s hand or foot against my belly a few times. And, Faith talks to it all the time. She’ll lay with her head on my belly and just talk away. We’ve also been attending birth classes and she’s a great coach. But, I’m starting to become really apprehensive about this.

Four weeks to go. I’m now seeing the doctor weekly and still no problems. The baby has become very active, more movement and less kicking. My back is killing me and the trips to the bathroom are becoming more frequent. I have spurts of energy and then become very tired. This can’t be over soon enough.

We had a bag packed for the hospital, and the doctor had given us information as to when to call her and head to the hospital. We knew when I had conceived, so we knew fairly accurately when I should deliver. I had already felt the baby drop, so we knew it wouldn’t be long. My false labor pains were no fun, but somehow I knew I wasn’t ready to deliver yet.

Then one night at about two I woke up. The bed was soaked and I was feeling contractions. Serious contractions. I laid there for awhile timing them,. They were regular and lasted about a minute, and nothing I did would make them stop. I woke Faith up, she called the doctor, and we headed to the hospital. On the way she called her mother, and she, Rachel, and Aunt Abbey met us there.

How women go through this I don’t know. I was in labor for six hours and it seemed like six days. The pain was, well pain. Faith was great in doing her coaching. And, I know I wasn’t a very good patient. Earlier we had decided no drugs, and I was having second thought about that right now.

The doctors and nurses were also great, and kept checking on me and the baby. My doctor showed up, examined me, and she said, “It won’t be long now Sidney. You’re ten centimeters and your contractions are very close together.”

Faith continued her coaching and it really did help. They finally moved me into the delivery room, and the doctor started coaching me on when to push and when not to. Finally I screamed, “The baby’s coming.”

And, come he did. Yes, the baby was a boy. A big boy. Eight pounds ten ounces and twenty-two inches long, with a heck of a set of lungs. They placed him on my belly and I saw him for the first time, he was just beautiful. It’s hard to explain how I felt inside when I first saw him. But, it was the warmest feeling that I’d ever felt. He was my son. I’d given birth to a beautiful baby boy.

They then took him, cleaned him up, gave him to Faith, who gave him to me. Just holding him was fantastic. One of the nurses then helped me place him to my breast and he was one hungry little boy. Feeling him drink my mothers milk made me feel wonderful.

When the baby and I were finally in our room, so was Faith, Faith’s mother, Aunt Abbey, Rachel, and Aunt Hyacinth. How Aunt Hyacinth had gotten here so quick . . . Okay. She’s a Witch. The four women just couldn’t get enough of him, until he got hungry and then I got him back.

Faith mother asked us, “Have you picked out a name yet?”

I looked at Faith and said, “Go on tell them.”

Looking at Aunt Abbey, Faith said, “Kile Anthony.”

I saw tears come into Aunt Abbey’s eyes, as she said, “You didn’t have to do that?”

“Yes we did.”, I said, “We need to keep the name in the family.”

Once we were home, we found that taking care of a baby was a lot of work, but we had all the help that we needed. Rachel was a great help and really loved to take care of little Kile. She moved in with us for a little while.

- Epilogue -

Well, that’s the story of how I found my Witch and myself. Am I sorry that Carl is only an infrequent visitor? No. Not at all. I don’t miss him. But, since Kyle now has a little sister, and I wasn’t the mother, I guess he was around just enough.

Find yourself a Witch and join in the fun.

Faith

Another truly fine effort Teddie. thank you. You should make sure this gets entered in the new contest, I think it fits all the parameters very nicely.

Witches

I had to go back and re-read the original, but it was well worth it. Easily one of the very best of this kind of story!

Sweet, sweet story

About a third of the way through I thought the grandmother would be reincarnated as their daughter. That may be. Love the story.

Pure Magic

A new story by Teddie S is always a special event, but this one is really superb!

Loved it

Hi Teddie,

I remember when I read your first story, the prequel to this, and I remember that it was the only real story of any decent length that involved magic that you had written. All the others were mainly about cross dressing, with little to no magic involved.

I just feel so happy that you've finally written a sequel to that story. And you know, it's for good reason. I'd always wondered why you hadn't written a sequel to it, and kept waiting and wondering. And here it is.

I think I'm thoroughly amazed, though I thought the ending could have been a lot more interesting. If you ever want a co-author for a future story, just drop me a line and I'll send you some samples of my writing.

Oh My Gosh!

The interplay of the dialog was so fascinating! It just flowed so beautifully, like sipping fine nectar. I suppose I should just stop my pitiful writing, I should be too humiliated to submit my stories.

I just loved the interaction between two people who obviously loved each other.

And a Corset story too! How could anyone ask for more?

Thank you so much.

Fantastic Faith

I read your earlier story this week and just finished this one. What a fine sequel it is!

I love stories with magic and yours didn't disappoint. I love the background information about the witches and the various locations, as well as the magic. And I absolutely loved the gender bending.

This is grade A fantasy in my book and I'll be watching for a sequel. It doesn't matter if it takes years, I'll keep watching. :)

Thanks!

Don't be surprised

You never know when another witch story will pop into my mind. As you say it may be awhile, but it will probably happen.

Thanks to everyone for the great comments.

Teddie

Wonderful just wonderful

Hi Teddie, Just to say this is a beautiful story and I truly enjoyed it.

One thing I spotted though, When Faith is describing the books you've used the word `illumination` when I think you meant `illustration`.

Hugs
