Well, it was an interesting night last night.
First, I started the night with a big I hate my boy bits moment, but before things could go too bad, my boss made a point of encouraging me and telling me I am awesome.
This proves a point I've made before - even a small act of kindness can make a huge difference for the person receiving it.
Second, I got some good news on the therapy front. I was contacted by a therapist, and he recommended I go to the Leduc hospital, as they apparently have a mental health unit that does free counseling.
So next week, I am gonna go, and see what its like ...
Lastly, I got a phone call from my daughter, telling me she has found a job at a grocery store, and she wanted to also tell me she loves me very much.
So all in all, a good night.

Yay
All those little positives add up and put a smile on your face. Hugs
very awesome for the last two
and i agree the little things sometimes have the biggest impact. i am out, and other than work, full time. my boss claims to have no "issue" with it, despite his religion, and is only worried about the effect on the business (small conservative town, mostly retiree's, very religion based culture here supposedly) and since i had planned to leave if that was the case, several months ago, it was no issue.
with several delays for various reasons, still here and will be for a few more months, but the other day we were talking about a slow down in sales (appliance store, i manager the showroom, and those a LOT of customers know me well) and he made the comment that "i guess Teresa just needs to go and do some competitor shopping (checking out their pricing for services, etc). key point is this is the FIRST time he has used my legal name since it changed. before it was usually terry, which is what i went by before, and it works for Teresa as well, so not a biggie to me, but the fact he actually used it, i was just WWWWHHHHAAAATTTT!! so maybe he just needed some time, which is fine, but just out of the blue, it was very good for me.
