Tell the Tales of the Closet in the form of a Game!
I am open to the thoughts and ideas of our community.
Who is up for an adventure in non-code, coding?
Hope the people take this idea, and run with it for a Golden Award.
Humble Bundle has a unbelievable deal going even for them.
All the RPG maker software, at 90% or MORE off.
This gave me an idea last night, what group has a story to tell, and has not really be able to tell it.
I think the people here at the Big Closet have a lot of talent for writing.
Many of those stories could be adapted to be a worth wild game or educational tool.
I have seen the Art and pictures growing in both quality and quantity, a bunch recently on Deviant art links, a lot lately.
So, that is story and art, clover at least in a cursory fashion.
That just leaves a few things to start with:
- People to help get this going (is any one out there...{as the play said})
- Time to do it (some scheduling, not many will want drop everything to work on this)
- Hierarchy (who wants to be in charge, who a silent partner)
- Funding (do we want to self fund, or crowd fund) *at the current price I can buy a few copies of a "maker" for project
- Interest (do you lot think there is a chance people will want it, or that enough us will take part)
- Storyboard (do we do original storytelling or get permission from one of the authors of stories already done)
- The should we do it's (Jazz and Caitlin are already making us more visitable)
- Message - the type of story lining to take place over the period of the internal story (is about bully and law OR the 'average day' of a Closeter)
- Profit sharing if we do good (should the closet get kick back for being place we can all use to feel better about our selves and providing the stories to supply our muse and a place to drop the results)
- Name of the group - this send a message of how we see our selves
That is just some of the things I think we can talk about.
So, let us start with is any one available or willing to pitch in?

TG game
I already have plans for two TG visual novels. The first one is called Magical Girl Aya-chan. The other is only coded 201406011RTM. Unfortunately it's stuck because I didn't have time to relearn python and I couldn't afford to hire people to make graphics for the game.
Not just for coders
That is why I included the line about "non-coding, coding", because the Luna engine plus the Base program of "RPG Maker VX: Ace Deluxe" that is included with this set of programs, convert many, to most visual based G.U.I. placements and alignment in to code.
The fact is most people do not have the expertise or training to do a complex game from the ground up. But, it seems to me that at least 40% of the RPG based programs in the last year have been made, with main only this suite of programs.
No, fortran, python, pascal, or C+ training needed. It is appreciated but, not needed at this time.
I have played personal, at least a half dozen 'games' made in this, and they are able to be quite good quality just with the tools at hand.
The only trick I have not looked in to is compiling or finishing the games. That and sound integration of outside sources because I did not have hands on the sound profile menus.
Do, not let the scope of what I am proposing get any one worried, this is just a idea or consept to bat around and see if there is any support.
Especially while the software is so incredibly inexpensive compare to the base price. Just 'RPG Maker Vx Ace Deluxe" edition with 0 other software except the Luna suite is MSRP at $99.99, this sale includes many Dlcs (I see at least 8 tile sets) and a half dozen complete games.
All for $12 as a donation, the only real downside I have found is that the earlier versions are not included just 90% off coupons 2 to 3 dollar apiece (still cheap) for xp, 2000 and 2003 editions and that I had to get a seam account which I had been avoiding to get some of the programs. And if we do this well, we can I hope make back that cost several times over.
WE could have a fantasy, science fiction, or city based story. Have the hero/ine be an amazon or a super hero.
Or, if we write it correctly, just a pair of protagonists that do not feel comfortable as they are, and have figure out what to do about it.
Whether it is CD, Hide, deal with rude people (i.e. bulling), medieval adventure to questing for the perfect gown/suit(space or formal, you decide).
I think there is room for some of the great authors here to be used for recognition of the TG fictional arts in the from of their stories.

I have just recently gotten RPG Maker VX ACE with the Luna Engine, There seems to be a lot under the hood. Sorry less than 30 days and in that time only 33 hours.

I'm a fairly decent coder, and could help. I also compose music occasionally, as my muse inspires me (unfortunately, it's only MIDI quality, as I don't own any of the instruments I can play any longer, but I suppose I could find a way to convert to MP3 or OGG Vorbis). Give me a PM if needed.
