Those in Salt Lake City are under a lot of heat right now.
Someone from "Mormon Newsroom" openly admitted that the church has not treated trans and intersex folk well, and I intend to keep the heat on. I'm not vitally interested in how they handle gays and lesbians because they threw us under the bus a few years ago.
In another decade there will be a changing of the guard, and I see T and I folk getting full rights. There are just lots of parents and partners keeping their heads down but in private they are dissatisfied.
The Mormons are also organizing a site called Northstar.org and the section on transgender folk is incomplete. I have asked to have input on that, though who knows where that will go.
Wish me the best.

Well...
I suggest you remain civil, and be polite, as you give your input. That is one of the best ways to avoid any problems, in such a situation.
And good luck.
Civility and politeness
I have been civil and polite with them for over 4 years, and the truth is that I owe them a great deal. The rank and file Mormon is loving and sweet. Our community has a lot of support locally. This will work out.
