Perhaps it is time to clear the air?
Often I write about other cultures, and to be authentic in those stories there is often some element of religion to keep it all in context. There are many places in the world where even though one might be an atheist, they must either pray in the streets or hide until everyone is done. I don't actually care what your beliefs are and if you confront me about them, it will be a waste of time. That element was only in the story to depict realistic situations.
My own preference might be different than yours, and you are free to do as you like. I've had several people say wonderful things to me about my writing, my belief, and about the realism in my stories. To you, I thank you greatly. I don't come here to proselytize but to publish well meaning, thought provoking, stories.
To those who write stories that are repugnant to me, you are free to do so. Perhaps I cared about them in the 90's? I have found that T life can be as real as I want it.

intrigued by the suggestion nr 3, and just from my curiosity that makes me want to find out things, I tried to locate the website www.idontgivearatsarse, with various alternative spellings, but regret to report back that my computer could not find it nor indeed anything like it. :)

I have come downstairs to go onto my favorite website BCTS at 2,28 AM because it feels safer downstairs with yet another severe storm and upstairs I have to listen to the sound of roof tiles groaning to break free. I am on a very small island in the N Atlantic, off the British side of it, on one which is disappearing bit by bit into the sea.

Think Out of the Box
Most of us here are transgendered in one way or another. We have hopes and dreams like other people. If you think your story necessitates something that is not common or generally approved by others so be it. It is alright to think out of the box. In fact, I prefer stories that do.
