Its a wonderful (trans) life?

I was watching "Its a wonderful life" last night, and it got me thinking about the impact my existence.

Not that I wish I wasn't, but I wondered what difference it would have made if I had been born a full girl - or for that matter, a full boy.

there might have been a few small differences, but there is at least one major one - if I had been anybody but me, I would not have produced the daughter I have.

And her existence alone is enough to make the burden of being trans much easier to bear ...

Merry Christmas, everybody

There has to be an idea for a story somewhere in that movie.

This afternoon I watched 'The Quiet Earth', an Australian flick from 1985 about a guy who wakes up to realise he's the only person left on the planet (or so he thinks). He spends the first part of the film living out his increasingly deranged fantasies, one of which sees him dressed in a ragged petticoat shooting bullets into a statue of Jesus in an insane attempt to prove he's the real God.

I may just work on something similar once I've got the first part of 'The Muses Of Strathgorrie' ready for publication.

Merry Christmas Dorothy!
