Having to take a day off from work because I felt like I had strained my stomach muscles gave me a lot more time to read today, and looking at some of the fantastic work that's been produced here I can only reach a couple of conclusions.
One is that Erin and her elves have created the most amazing place I can imagine, and we who get to enjoy their work should remember to be grateful, and show that gratitude however we can - contributing to the hat box, or even just making sure we dont make things harder for them with our blogs, stories, and comments.
The other thing is that I cant be like my favorite authors. I cant do emotional stories like Drea, or keep a half-dozen stories going on at the same time like Bailey, I cant make stories that show how some of the stereotypical ideas would lead to pain and grief in real life, like Randalynn does. I cant even do what Tels can and take a "short" story and turn it into a novel ...
But I can be me.
And you know what? I'm not bad. Some of my stuff is actually pretty good even looking at it as objectively as I can.
And I'm gonna try and get better, to become the very best author I can be.
And guess what? You guys get to be along for the ride ....

How sweet it is that you are you. The perspectives, you bring to our collectivism round table, creates it's own vector, of reactions, allowing all of us, to be our selves. But that is how the creator, and great mystery work's things out. "How it works, I don't know it's a mystery." Isn't it marvelous.
