If anybody happens to care, I just wanted to post an update on the writing of "Jake goes for help",

After much thought, I've decided to drop the idea of having a flashback to fill in the details of what happened to Jake. It doesnt really move the story forward, so after going back and forth on it, its gone. That means whenever I get chapter 4 done, I'll only have one more to go and then will be able to put this puppy to bed, but nobody but me will know exactly what happened to Jake. I started with grand ambitions about saying something important about the effects of rape on a guy, but in the end I just wasnt able to turn that ambition into reality, so as soon as I can, I'll finish chapter 4, and write chapter 5, and put the story in my rear view mirror. None too soon, as I have several concepts I'd really like to give a try to including:

A romance between a lady pirate and a writer ....

A city that has a mind of its own ....

A fun story of what happens when GI Joe goes to Barbie's dream house for a visit ...

The return of the crew of Notification Service ...

A tale of revenge involving a haunted house ...

And my first, and probably last, attempt to write a musical.
